BESSIE LaRUE JONES, 99, of Mulberry died Tuesday at Bartow Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in LaRue County, Ky., she moved to Mulberry 68 years ago from Homeland. She was a homemaker, member of First Baptist Church of Mulberry, member of the Eastern Star, member of the Golden Age Club and a Polk County Pioneer. She is survived by a daughter, Fran Jones Whidden of Lakeland; a brother, Dean C. LaRue of Lakeland; a sister, Ann Garner of Dallas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A.M. JACKIE LAVONNE RICHARDSON, 41, of Lake Wales died Monday at Winter Haven Hospital of injuries sustained in a fall. A native and lifelong resident of Lake Wales, he worked at Lake Wales Citrus Exchange. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Lake Wales; two sons, Jackie III and Jackie Jr., both of Lake Wales; three stepdaughters, Melinda Scarlett, Tonya Williams and Meltrice Richardson, all of Lake Wales; four brothers, Nathaniel Davis, Henry Love and Raymond Love, all of Lake Wales, and Michael Wright of Emmonds, S.C.; a sister, Terry Brown of New London, Conn.; and his paternal grandmother, Ada Richardson of Lake Wales. RUSSELL DELBERT SHANNON, 58, of Greenville, S.C., and formerly of Lakeland died Nov. 28 in Greenville Hospital. He was a college professor at Clemson University. CARLTON F. BILLINGS, 76, of Port Richey died Wednesday at Columbia Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point. A native of Newton, Mass., he moved to this area four years ago from Seminole. He was a retired milkman in Watertown, Mass., a former maintenance worker for the Seminole Fire Department and Methodist. HAROLD LOUIS DUSHEIKO, 42, of Tarpon Springs died Wednesday at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital. He moved to this area in 1993 from his native South Africa. He was a financial consultant. ROY E. FLEMING, 82, of Clearwater died Tuesday at Clearwater Community Hospital. A native of Geneva, Ala., he moved to this area in 1934 from Jacksonville. He was a partner in Seavy Lumber Co. in Clearwater, a Navy Seabees veteran of World War II, a 50-year member and past president of the Jaycees of Clearwater, and a member of the Downtown Noon Lions Club of Clearwater and Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ardath E.; a son, Gene of Clearwater; a daughter, Margaret E.
