VERA M. LIND, 83, of Polk City and formerly of Dunedin died Tuesday at home. She moved to this area from Akron, Ohio, lived in Dunedin several years and then moved to Polk City. She was a secretary for Keller Sales and other businesses in Dunedin and Clearwater and Protestant. She is survived by three brothers, Vernon W. of Bryson City, N.C., Willard M. of Lakeland and Edgar R. of Polk City; and several nieces and nephews. Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, Dunedin Chapel.

NORA KATHLEEN McCUAIG, 80, of Clearwater died Jan. 9 at Largo Medical Center. She moved to this area in 1989 from her native Philadelphia. She was a retired bookkeeper and Presbyterian. She is survived by her husband, Dave; two sons, Bob Shaw of Apollo Beach and Robertq Shaw of Clearwater; a daughter, Jeannie of Clearwater; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. HARRY A. MENCK of Dunedin died Tuesday at Mease Hospital Dunedin. A native of Union City, N.J., he moved to this area in 1989 from Bergen County, N.J. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two sons, Mark A. of Lebanon, N.J., and Donald of Monroe, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, Dunedin Chapel.

ROSEMARY R. NETHERTON, 69, of Hudson and formerly of Tarpon Springs died Wednesday at The Arbors at Bayonet Point. A native of Ohio, she moved to this area in 1992 from Lakeland and to Hudson in 1996. She was a homemaker, member of the Salvation Army and Methodist. She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Floro of Ohio and Amy Vincek of Florida; and a nephew. Vinson Funeral Home, Tarpon Springs.

IVAL DALE RASEY, 82, of Clearwater died Sunday at Mease Hospital Countryside in Safety Harbor. A native of Holton, Mich., he moved to this area in 1982 from Muskegon, Mich. He was a blueprint office manager for Ajax Sales Corp. in Muskegon, Army veteran of World War II, former high priest of Royal Arch Masons York Rite Body, former patron of Mizpah-Genesis Chapter 88 Order of the Eastern Star, life member of J. Tazelaar Disabled American Veterans Post 103, all in Muskegon, and member of Lovell Moore Masonic Lodge 182 AF&AM in Muskegon and First United Methodist Church in Safety Harbor. MARTHA MARY SAARI, 79, of Clearwater died Tuesday at Morton Plant Hospital. A native of Moore, Wis., she moved to this area in 1974 from Evanston, Ill. She was a secretary for labor unions, member of Soumi Silta Society and Unitarian. She is survived by two sons, Donald G. of Evanston and Edward R. of Clearwater; a daughter, Katri of Clearwater; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Ambassador Mortuary Service, Oldsmar.

HERBERT LEE SANDERS, 79, of St. Petersburg died Monday at home. A native of Rochelle, Ga., he moved to this area in 1923 from Macon, Ga. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Kizzie Bauford of St. Petersburg and Rose M. Carter of Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Ed Bright, Paul Bright and Arthur Bright, all of St. Petersburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. MARTHA SHIRLEY SCALES, 61, of New Port Richey died Monday at Columbia New Port Richey Hospital. A native of Trenton, N.J., she moved to this area seven years ago from Clearwater. She was a retired secretary for the state of New Jersey and member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey. She is survived by a son, Brentt A. Beam of Palm Harbor; two daughters, Brenda B. Broome of Largo and Barbara H. Badek of Huntersville, N.C.; her mother, Lorraine M. JULIA R. MONTICONE TRONCATTI, 83, of Largo died Tuesday at Palm Garden of Largo. A native of Wilmerding, Pa., she moved to this area in 1984. She was a nursing school instructor at McKeesport Hospital near Pittsburgh for 18 years. She was an Army Nurse Corps veteran of World War II and recipient of the European Theater Service Medal with a bronze star. She was a lifetime member of McKeesport Nursing Alumni Association and member of military Order of World Wars, Women's Overseas Service League and American Legion Florida Chapter Post 122. She is survived by her husband, Carl; two brothers, Charles Monticone of Long Island, N.Y., and George Monticone of Concord, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. WALTER A. WESLEY, 77, of Clearwater died Monday at Sabal Palms Health Care Center in Largo. A native of Milwaukee, he moved to this area in 1983 from St. Louis. He is survived by his wife, Delores; a son, Douglas of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Sandra McGrail of Norcross, Ga.; and two grandchildren. She is survived by four sons, Richard and Gilbert, both of St. Petersburg, John of New Port Richey and Donald of Jacksonville; five daughters, Ester Welch, Betty Christian, Lillian Jones, Mildred and Helen, all of St. Petersburg; 34 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. HENRY D. BURDETTE, 80, of Lakeland died Tuesday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cullman, Ala., he moved to Polk County 34 years ago from Wauchula. He was owner and president of a motor club, a former employee of Tampa Electric Co., past president of Brandon Optimist Club, a member of New Home Baptist Church and a World War II Merchant Marines veteran. He is survived by his wife, Alice J.; two sons, Rick of Haines City and Mike of Lakeland; a daughter, Joy J. ALMA O. MITCHELL CRAIG, 89, of Winter Haven died Tuesday at Brandywyne Health Care & Assisted Living Center. A native of Giles County, Tenn., she came to Winter Haven in 1957 from Athens, Ala. She was a retired grader for Roberts Brothers Canning Co. and member of Eagle Lake Church of Christ. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth M. Carter of Winter Haven; a son, Kenneth W. MARVIN ROBERT DEY, 76, of Waterford, Mich., died Tuesday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Detroit native, he had been a winter resident of Winter Haven since 1989. He was a retired body engineer for General Motors Corp. in Warren, Mich., and member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Birmingham, Mich. He is survived by his wife, Florence Eileen; two sons, Timothy of Detroit and Dale of Seattle; a daughter, Jeri Brinton of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and five grandchildren. MARGERY CARLSON-FRASER, 75, of Clearwater died Monday at Columbia Largo Medical Center. A native of England, she moved to this area in 1970 from Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Howard Fraser; a son, Thomas D. Pritchard of Plant City; two daughters, Betty Archer of Seminole and Margery J. EMMA GOOSBY, 86, of Lake Wales died Tuesday at Lake Wales Medical Centers Inc. A native of Quitman, Ga., she came to this area 70 years ago from Georgia and worked more than 40 years as a cook and maid at a private home at Mountain Lake. She was a member of First Institutional Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Willie Mae Walker of Lake Wales, a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Epps Mortuary, Lake Wales.

JEAN BOWSER HALL, 67, of Lakeland died Tuesday at Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center. A Denver native, she moved to this area six years ago from Fayetteville, N.C.
