Ms. Juanita Green, 59, of 3619 East 2nd St., Springfield died Thursday, Sept. 2, in Bay Medical Center. She was a native of Clio, Ala., but had been a resident of Bay County for many years. She was educated in the public schools of Bay County graduating from Rosenwald High School in 1959. She received an A.A. Degree in Childhood Development at Gulf Coast Community College. She retired a Pre-K instructor from Tyndall AFB. Her church affiliation was a member of Pentecostal Worship Center. She is survived by a devoted son, Walter Lopez Green; mother, Mrs. Essie B. Green of Panama City two surviving sisters, Mary Bellamy of Tampa, Fla., Janice Corbin of Panama City, Emma Jean Jackson (deceased sister); one brother, Arlester McCray of Fayetteville, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Mack Bellamy of Tampa; three aunts: Lizzie Wilson of Panama City, Ruth Rozenblade of Youngstown, Ohio, Lalar Pruitt of Los Angeles, Calif.; two uncles, R.J. Wilson of Panama City, Julius Rozenblade of Youngstown; nieces: Jaroyln McCray of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; Debra Tyonia Barker (Jerry) of Panama City, Catina Blain of Panama City, Sandra Denise Davis (Winston) of Stutgart, Germany, Pamela Trenise Lee (Albert) of Tampa, Danyelle McCray of Atlanta; great nieces: Akia Nanyamka Ashley of Panama City, Brittany Davis of Stutgart, Germany, Ashley Ryanne Bellamy of Tampa, Carmeasha Tyonia Barker of Panama City, Paige Trenise Lee of Tampa; nephews: Shedrick Corbin of Jacksonville, Colavito Edward Bellamy (Nina) of Tampa, Steven Corbin of Jacksonville; great nephews: Shedrick Corbin II, Winston Davis II, Colavito Bellamy Jr., Albert Lee Jr., Journell Blain; godchildren: Precious Thomas, Donna Dozier, Steven Coy, Jeffery Pollard and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ms. Green will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. in Free Spirit Community Church, 727 E. 11th St., with Pastor James Kelly, Pastor and the Rev. Dr. J.W. Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. The family will receive friends at 3619 East 2nd St., Springfield.

Mrs. Ethel Lawson 79, of 1240 Caldwell Drive died Aug. 29, 1999 in Glen Cove Springs, Fla. She was a native of Greenville, Ala., but had been a long time resident of Bay County. She was a very dedicated member of the Salvation Army Church. She leaves to cherish her memories a sister, Mrs. Clara Daily of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother-in-law, Mr. Johnnie O'Cain Sr. of Panama City; nieces: Shirley Wells of Panama City, Chante Lone of Ozark, Ala., and Betty Bellamy of Panama City; nephews: Mr. Johnnie O'Caine Jr., William Lone of Ozark and Andrew Devon Wells (Malaika) of Fort Lauderdale; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Lawson will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. in New Beginning Assembly of the Saints Church, 662 Cone Ave., with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell, Pastor and Capt. Brown of the Salvation Army Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin today, Sept. 10, at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. WILLIAM NEWTON RENFROE JR.
Mr. William Newton Renfroe Jr., age 71, of 11310 Waller Road, Youngstown, Fla., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1974, coming here from Charleston, S.C. Mr. Renfroe served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Era and retired and a Master Sergeant. He was Protestant by faith, a member of the DAV and NCOAA Post No. 356. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Renfroe of Youngstown, Fla.; daughters, Cindy Mae Hill and her husband Leon of Fountain, Fla., and Vicki Ann Anderson of Callaway, Fla.; sons, Willis Neal Renfroe and his wife Mary of Fountain, Fla. and Wayne Nolan Renfroe and his wife Anna of Coronna, Mich.; his mother, Pearlie B. Renfroe of Quincy, Fla.; a brother, Harold Renfroe of Quincy, Fla.; sisters, Dorothy Shriver of Quincy, Fla. and Betty Burns of Greensboro, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Renfroe was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Rourk; his father, William N. Renfroe Sr.; and a sister, Hazel Reeves. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. W. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Sept. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. The family would like to express their appreciation to Mr. Renfroe's doctors and 3rd Floor, N. Staff at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Mrs. Mary Lucile Little, age 80, of Lecanto, Fla., formerly of Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 at Life Care Center of Citrus County, Lecanto, Fla. She was born in Opp, Ala., and raised in Andalusia, Ala. Mrs. Little worked for Superior Dry Cleaners in Panama City, where she met her husband, Wilbur J. Little who later proposed to her in front of the Tally-Ho Drive-In. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wilbur J. Little of Lecanto, Fla.; a son, Willie L. Wiggins of Asheville, N.C.; brothers: David H. "Buck" Neese of Montgomery, Ala., and Cecil F. Neese of Andalusia, Ala.; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Col./Ret. Joseph L. Pospisil Sr., 74, died Sept. 8, 1999 at Bay Medical Center after complications following surgery. Col. Pospisil retired in 1978 from the Air Force after serving 33 years in the military. He is survived by his son, Joseph L. Pospisil Jr. and wife Diane of Panama City; sister, Carol Bors and her husband Ken of Crete, Neb.; niece, Kris of Honolulu, Hawaii; nephew, Stephen of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter-in-law, Pam Pospisil and two granddaughters: Laura and Lindsey, all of Woodbridge, Va. Memorial services will be held at a later date to be determined.

Mr. James Lee Whitehurst, 94, of 1808 E. 7th St., died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999 in a local hospital. He was a native of Troy, Ala., and a resident of Panama City for many years. Funeral services for Mr. Whitehurst will be held today, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Chruch with the Rev. Michael Newton and the Rev. Temolia Youngblood officiating. Interment to follow in Redwood Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church today from 10 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 1808 E. 7th St.

RUBY B. WARD WILLIAMS
Mrs. Ruby B. Ward Williams, 85, of 817 Hamilton Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 in Bay Medical Center. She was a native of Ozark, Ala., but had been a longtime resident of Panama City. The Holy Spirit guided her into Christian fellowship by joining Holy Temple Church of God and Christ. The joy of her life was helping others. The occupations she chose were domestic work and beautician. The legacy of her seasons are left to a faithful son, the Rev. Jimmie L. Ward of Annopolis, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara J. Jones of Panama City; Norman Green, deceased, and Jerry Green; grandchildren: Tyrone Ward, Charles Dawson, Mickie T. Ward, Jimmie L. Ward Jr., Valerie R. Jones, Qianie S. Ward, Robbie L. Ward, Katrisha L. Jones, Cynthia, Veronica, Maria, Torres, Jessica Green and Jerry Green Jr.; several great-grandchildren and one deceased; a host of caring nieces, nephews, relatives and friends as many as there are grains of sand. Funeral services for Mother Ward Williams will be held Sunday, Sept. 12, at 2:30 p.m. in Holy Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder W.C. Green, Pastor; Evangelist/Pastor Lillie Carr Hutchison, presiding; District Supt. Elder John Gipson, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation for viewing will begin this afternoon from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

CHARLES (JOE) F. SPOONER
Mr. Charles (Joe) F. Spooner, age 74, of 2564 Bottomridge Drive, Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999 at Orange Park Medical Center. He had been a resident of the Panama City area for 45 years and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Spooner served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had been a barber for the Tyndall AFB Barber Shop for fifteen years. Mr. Spooner was a member of the VFW No. 2185, DAV No. 106, and was the District Service Officer with the VFW for 15 years. He is survived by a son, James M. "Mike" Spooner of Orange Park, Fla.; grandchildren: James Franklin Spooner, Heather Wallace and Pamela Spooner, all of Orange Park, Fla., and Bill Spooner of Tallahassee, Fla.; and a sister, Lucy Curtis of New Bedford, Mass. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Sept. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the N.E. Fla. MAE T. CARTER
Mrs. Hobdy Carter of Bay Crest Nursing Center, 1503 Grant Ave., Panama City, Fla., was born in Montgomery, Ala., on Dec. 29, 1904, and returned to her heavenly Father on Sept. 11, 1999. She served as a registered nurse in Panama City and Blue Lake Camp for more than 50 years. An active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, she also was editor of the Alabama West--Florida Conference "Alert" and a conference, district and local officer of United Methodist Women. She is survived by her sons, Tandy Carter and his wife Caroline and David Carter and his wife Joyce; grandsons: Tandy Carter Jr., Edmond Hobdy Carter III, Billy Carter, Tommy Carter, Edmond Willis Carter and Timothy Carter; a granddaughter, Claire Carter Reed; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Samantha Carter. Her two surviving sisters are Ruth Todd Hudgens and Olivia Todd Williams. She was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Hobdy Carter, and son, Edmond Hobdy Carter Jr. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Sept. 13, in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Britton officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home today, Sept. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. Those asked to be pallbearers are John Nichols, Dr. Jim Godwin, Fred Sutter, Paul Kearns, Jimmy Prince and Edris Whitehurst. Honorary pallbearers are the Progressive Sunday School Class, the Rebekah Circle and staff at Bay Crest Nursing Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery. Vansant of Youngstown; a brother, Mr. Charles Mawyer and wife Maydine of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Moyer and husband Jasper of Virginia.; a foster mother, Mrs. Geneva McCulley of Jonesboro, Ga.; a foster sister, Mrs. Helen Barton of Jonesboro; and a foster brother, Mr. Cecil McCulley of Snellville, Ga. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Pickerill officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Travis Burkett, Mr. Don Vansant, Mr. David Vansant and Mr. Jeff Guill.
