Clarence Burch, 76, of Altha died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at his residence.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Thursday, Sept. 25, at Maddox Chapel with the Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

Master Kasen Alexander Glisson, infant baby boy died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, in the Jackson Hospital.

He was preceded in death by Sarah Stewart of Geneva, Ala.

He is survived by: Mr. and Mrs. John A. and Athena Glisson of Marianna; two sisters, Zannah and Jericka Glisson of Marianna; maternal grandparents, Brenda Elmore of Bonifay and Roy Elmore of Dothan, Ala.; paternal grandmother, Carol Glisson of Marianna; Great maternal grandparents, Huey Lee of Bonifay, Hazel Plair of Bonifay, and T.J. and Oida Elmore of Lithia Springs, Ga.; great paternal grandparents, Paul and Dora Westbrook of Bascom; and a great-great maternal grandmother.

The funeral will be held Friday, Sept.. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor John Woodrow officiating. Burial will be in the Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Marianna Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends tonight, Thursday, Sept. 25, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Margaret Mary Doty, 93, of Marianna died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at her residence.

She was a resident of this area since January of this year. She was Catholic by faith. She did volunteer work until she got where she was not able to drive. Then she started making lap robes for the convalescent centers. She loved crocheting, her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hazen P. Heddens in 1950 and a grandchild, Randall Ward in 1981.

She is survived by: two sons, Gilbert J. Heddens and his wife, Tee of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Frank Heddens and his wife, Teresa of San Bernardino, Calif.; two daughters, Mollie B. Sanders and her husband, Jack of Idyllwild, Calif., and Helen L. Williams and her husband, Lester of Marianna; two sisters, Dorothy Agin of Kansas and Roberta Rittgers of Kansas; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, Friday, Sept. 26, in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at a later date in California.

Judy Heath Smith, 56, formerly of Marianna died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born and spent most of her life in Marianna and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ralph and Lessie D. Heath.

She is survived by: one daughter, Haylie Smith, and one son, Walter Smith, both formerly of Marianna; one brother, Jerry E. Heath and his wife, Julie of Tallahassee; three nieces, one nephew and their families; and several special first cousins.

A graveside funeral will be held today, Friday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Pinecrest Memory Garden on Caverns Road in Marianna with the Rev. Charles DaVane officiating.

The family received friends at Lord Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 25, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. CST.

The family will accept flowers, or in lieu, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice at 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32309.

Lord Funeral Home of Marianna is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Craig Adkins, 47, of Marianna died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, in the Jackson Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of this area and a Christian by faith. He loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Craig Adkins.

He is survived by: His loving wife, Lora Adkins of Marianna; his mother, Mary Garrish Adkins of Marianna; one son, Charlie Adkins of Marianna; three brothers, Nathan, Gary and Ronnie Adkins, all of Marianna; and two sisters, Lula Mae Boggs of Marianna and Lillie Mae Benefield of Cottondale.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Glover officiating. The family received friends Friday, Sept. 26, in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Karrene H. Segrest, 89, of Chattahoochee died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003.

She was born June 14, 1914 in Jackson County. Her parents were Julius and Sallie Hewett. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church and had lived in Chattahoochee since 1940. She retired from the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Segrest.

She is survived by: Her daughter, Edwina Lee and her husband, David of Jacksonville; her granddaughter, Robin Jones and her husband, Kyle of Jacksonville; her two beloved great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kallie Jones of Jacksonville; and her sister, Lessie Mitchell of Jacksonville.

A graveside funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, Sept. 28, at Shady Grove Cemetery in the Shady Grove Community.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. today at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel in Sneads.

Carlos "Bull" Caussey, age 82, of Grand Ridge, Florida passed away Friday, September 26, 2003 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna. Mr. Caussey was retired from the Department of Corrections and the military, serving in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: One sister: Margarie Lewis of Sweetwater, TX and her husband, Jack; one nephew: Randall Causey of St. Angelo, TX; special friends: Sam and Donna Ball of Cherokee, NC; special caregivers: Joy and Cecil Branch, Kelley Branch, Lamar Branch, Margaret Branch and Harold and Judy Branch of Grand Ridge, FL.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Mr. Caussey's name.

Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown is in charge of the arrangements.

Eunice McLane Jones, 90, of Dekle Beach, Florida died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at her residence.

Born in Grand Ridge, she lived in Miami for most of her life and moved to Dekle Beach, where she lived for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Rader United Methodist Church in Miami, attended Blue Creek Baptist Church in Keaton Beach, and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Cecilia Carmichael and husband Dan of Mason, Ohio; two grandchildren, Deena Bowers of Columbus, Ohio, and David Carmichael of Phoenix, Arizona; two great-grandchildren, Reid Bowers and Caroline Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held today, Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.. at Providence Baptist Church in Grand Ridge with the Rev. Jack Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Carpenter Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home, Sneads Chapel, directing. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003 at James and Sikes Funeral Home in Sneads.

T.C. Braswell, 80, of Chattahoochee, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in Chattahoochee.

He was a native of Two Egg and a lifelong resident of this area. He is survived by his wife, Mary R. Braswell; a son, Thomas C. Braswell; one brother, Gordon Braswell and his wife Carolyn of Grand Ridge; three sisters, Inez Hawthorne of Blakely, Ga., Aline Baxley of St. Augustine and Betty Jo Sargent and her husband Jack of Milledgeville, Ga.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by James and Sikes Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna.

James I. Myers Sr., 67, of Chipley, passed from this life in a Dothan, Alabama hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Myers of Chipley; two sons, Joseph D. Myers of Chipley and James I. Myers Jr., of Wausau; two daughters, Belva Lee Myers of Chipley and Belinda Collins of Chipley; three brothers, Blair Myers of Panama City Beach, William G. Myers of Arvada, Colorado; Robert Lee Myers of Daytona Beach; five sisters, Wanda M. Carpenter of Eden Prairie, Minn., Bernadine F. Koch of Irvin, Calif., Juanita J. Carr of McLean, Va., Gearldine E. Myers Witkowski of Trevor, Wisconsin, Cynthia R. Dunn of Fresno, Calif; and seven grandchildren and six step-grandchilden.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Wachob Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Brown Funeral Home directing.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the Wachob Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garry Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Michael Rogers Carnley, 26, of Slocomb, Ala. died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, in Graceville.

Arrangements will be announced by Williams Funeral Home of Graceville.

T.C. Braswell, 80, of Southport died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003.

He was a native of Two Egg and lived most of his life in Southport. He was a boilermaker and a member of the Boilermakers United. He traveled extensively to other parts of the country with his profession. He was of the Protestant faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Susie Braswell, and a brother, Charlie Braswell.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary R. Braswell and a son, Thomas Cain Braswell and his friend Cindy, all of Southport; one brother, Gordon Braswell Sr. and his wife, Carolyn of Grand Ridge; three sisters, Inez Hawthorne of Blakely, Ga., Aline Baxley of St. Augustine and Betty Jo Sargent and her husband, Jack of Milledgeville, Ga.; four brothers-in-law, Nixon Riley, Gerald Riley, George Riley and Herman Riley; four sisters-in-law, Sonja Hover, Johnnie Porter, Linda Porter and Joyce Evans; a niece, Barbara Ellis and her husband, Lynn of Southport; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Welcome Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Southport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Southport with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in Marianna.

James Earl Bradley, 78, of Marianna died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at his residence.

He was a native of Grand Ridge and lived most of his life in Jackson County where he retired from the Apalachee Correctional Institution in 1986 as a vocational education instructor. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and past president of Gadsden County Shrine Club, a member of the Scottish Rite and a charter member of Marzuq Temple of Tallahassee. He received a 50 year certificate from Gee Lodge #21 in Chattahoochee in 1997. he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna and the Fisherman's Sunday School class. He was also a member of American Legion Post 100 and Woodmen of the World.

He is survived by: his wife, Myrtice R. Bradley of Marianna; one son, James Earl Bradley II and his wife, Jonna of Sneads; one daughter, Jacquelyn Patricia Bradley of Tallahassee; one step-son, Craig Bruner and his wife, Louise of Tallahassee; one step-daughter, Beverly Tobias and her husband, Keith of Middleburg; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Eubanks of Palatka; three grandchildren, Rachel Harrison and her husband, Eric, April Bradley, and Logan Bradley; five step-grandchildren, George Bruner, Nancy Bruner, Charles Bruner, Cameron Ebanks and Cody Tobias; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the First Baptist Church of Marianna with the Rev. Michael Petty officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Chattahoochee with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 30, at First Baptist Church in Marianna.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions to the library of the First Baptist Church , 2897 Green Street, Marianna, FL 32446 or Emerald Coast Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Marianna, FL 32447.
