LESLEY SHIRLEY GRIMM
Lesley Shirley Grimm, 67, a recent resident of the Sabal Lake area in Orlando, and formerly of Panama City, Fla., died Dec. 28, 1999 from cancer while in hospice care in Baltimore, Md. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Ms. Grimm immigrated to the United States and married Wade H. Grimm, a career U.S. Air Force serviceman, and worked in various positions in the food and beverage service at the non-commissioned Officer Clubs in Ramstein, Germany, Williams AFB, Ariz., and Tyndall AFB, Fla. The couple had divorced in 1986. Throughout her life she retained an avid romantic compassion for the ocean and lived much of her life with a view of the water. She had twice sailed aboard the Queen Elizabeth II luxury cruise ship across the Atlantic, and had planned a third crossing. Lesley will be remembered by her family and friends as wonderfully kindhearted, generous and gregarious, always fun-loving, high-spirited and optimistic; and, especially when faced with adversity, including her battle with cancer, remarkably brave. Survivors include her daughter, Tracey Mylin; son-in-law, David Mylin; and two young grandsons, Trevor and Chad Mylin, all of Ellicott, Md.; a sister, Estelle Davies, of York, England; and five nieces and nephews.
