Annie Merle Benson, of Chipley, Fla., passed away. She was resident of Chipley since 1936. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Chipley. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association. She organized the first band at Chipley High School, was a member of the Daughters of United Confederation and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Graveside services will be held Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Clinton Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Survivors are husband, J.B. Benson of Chipley; son, John Benson of Panama City; and sister, Louise S. Gross of Chipley.

MARGARET E. FOREMAN
Mrs. Margaret E. Foreman, age 82, of 4930 2nd St., Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at a local hospital. She was born in Galeton, Pa., and had been a resident of the Panama City area since 1947. She was a homemaker, attended Parkway Church of the Nazarene, and was a retired ceramics instructor with the City of Parker. Mrs. Foreman is survived by her daughters, Sharon Bearden and her husband Allen of Burkburnett, Texas, and Carol Kirkpatrick of Panama City, Fla.; a son, Roger Foreman of Dagsboro, Del.; a sister, Wilda Smith and her husband Elton of Newark, N.Y.; a brother, Eugene VanSteamburg and his wife Verda of Galeton, Pa.; grandchildren: Dawn Jaekel, Margaret Perkins and her husband Wade, and Karl Jaekel and his wife Felicia, all of Panama City, Stephen Jaekel of Mesa, Ariz., and Carla Covington of Panama City; and great-grandchildren: Adam Perkins, Joseph Jaekel, and Mackenzie Covington, all of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Foreman; a sister, Ruth Lattimer; and a brother, Vincent VanSteamburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 19 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, February 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. If you wish, contributions may be made to the Parkway Church of the Nazarene, 162 N. DOSHA MAE BRACLEY
Mrs. Dosha Mae Bracley, 83, of Bonifay and Panama City, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in the Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Fla. She was a native of Coffee County and a resident of Panama City and Bonifay for many years. She was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and a member of Queen Esther Lodge Of Eastern Star Chapter No. 25. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Willie Bell Harris of Bonifay; one god-daughter, Mrs. Ida Conners of Lynn Haven; one godson, Jimmy Ross Jackson; three favorite nieces: Mrs. Elaine Ogietree of Fayetteville, N.C., Mrs. Maudie Scott of Bonifay, and Mrs. Leesa Douglas of Panama City; three favorite nephews: Harry F. Harris of Mobile, Ala., Jason Ponds and Roosevelt Scott, both of Bonifay; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Bracley will be held Saturday, Feb.19 at 1 p.m. in Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Newton, Pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.

BRIAN K. INGRAHAM
Mr. Brian K. Ingraham, 43, of 323 Allen Ave. died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Milwaukee, Wis., but had been a resident of Panama City for a number of years. He was the beloved son of Robert and Roberta Ingraham. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Roberta Ingraham; brothers: Dan R. Ingraham, Scott Ingraham and wife Diane and Patrick Ingraham. Memorialization by Cremation. The family will receive friends for visitation at their residence of 323 Allen Ave. on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m.

MARY CARROLL MIRIZIO
On Sunday February 6, 2000, Mary Carroll Mirizio of 2601 Ferol Lane, Lynn Haven found peace and began her journey to be with our Lord. All who knew her well will feel a deep sense of loss at her passing, but her extraordinary kindness, strength, courage, humor, and faith will be with us forever. She followed her beloved husband of 27 years, Stephen Michael Mirizio. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother to her son Thomas and Nora Mirizio and their children Celeste and BethMary of LeRoy, Minn.; her daughter, Frances and Todd Olds and their son Emmett of Palm Harbor, Fla.; her daughter, Rosemary and Craig Cazenave and their daughters Jennifer and Danielle of Lynn Haven, Fla.; her daughter, Stephanie Scarborough and her daughter Cody of Winter Park, Fla.; her son, Stephen Mirizio and his children Rachelle and Stephan of Winter Park, Fla.; her son, Vincent and Betsy Mirizio of Jacksonville, Fla., and her son Joseph Mirizio of Orlando, Fla. Mary was a loving sister to her brothers, John and William Carroll; and her sisters Johanna, Lisa and Roseanne Carroll, all of whom reside in California. She adored her extended family including: Fred and May Cazenave, Rick Blandin, Frank Scarborough, Deborah Tucker, as well as Jane Keller, Jane Sapoznikoff, Teresa and Teri Powell, Terry Sistrunk, Helen Gregor, Diana Roberts, Nancy Vitti, Joe Burleson, RN, Lori Lascivita, RN, Nancy Ackerman, RN, Don and Carmen McBrayer, Paula Moon, and Kathy Majka. Mary was a native of New York and moved to Winter Park, Fla., in 1972. In 1989, she moved to Lynn Haven where she spent the past eleven years living with her daughter Rosemary "Rose" Cazenave and her family. Mary dedicated the remaining years of her life helping Rose with her physically challenged granddaughter Danielle and her sister Jennifer. She was a member of Palo Alto Church of Christ and saw only the good in everyone she knew. She never let obstacles stand in her way; saying "If there's a will, there's a way". Come celebrate her life in a memorial service which will be held at Palo Alto Church of Christ on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. Her friend and minister, Don McBrayer, will conduct services. We invite all who loved her, and were touched by her life to attend the service and afterwards join the family for lunch at the church.

JAMES E. SMALLEY SR.
James E. Smalley Sr., age 69, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at his residence. He had been a resident of Chipley since 1957 coming from Wiggins, Miss. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Chipley. He was a former deacon of First Baptist Church, former president of Lyons Club and a former city council member. Mr. Smalley was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Smalley. Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Adolph Phares officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Survivors are his wife, Beth Smalley of Chipley; son, James Smalley Jr. and wife Rita of Chipley; step-son, Craig Swilley of Altha, Fla.; daughter, Brenda Crouch and husband Sam of Marianna; step-daughter, Karen Peddie of Bristol; sister, Polly Hatten of Wiggins; grandchildren, Allison Elizabeth Crouch of Birmingham, Stephanie Grace Smalley of Chipley; step-grandchildren: Whitney, Warren, Morgan Swilly, Kyler Peddie and Kendall Peddie.

CLAYTON B. WEED
Clayton B. Weed, 41, of Fort Lauderdale, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, after a noble and courageous battle against multiple sclerosis. Originally from Norwalk, Conn., Clay was a Senior Vice-President for Weatherby Associates. In 1998, he relocated with the company to Fort Lauderdale. Clay is the son of the late Clayton B. Weed Jr. of Norwalk. Clay is survived by Joan Young and her husband, Sanford of Wilson, Conn.; his wife, Michelle Weed; two brothers and their families, Jeffrey and Arlene Weed and their daughters, Stefanie and Jennifer of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Gregory and Marcia Weed and their son, Matthew of Tampa. Clay's extended family includes in-laws, Michael and Judy Wilhite of Panama City; brothers-in-law, Michael Wilhite of Fort Lauderdale and Marcus Wilhite of Panama City. Clay felt honored to be among the friends of the late Bill Wilson, and encouraged all who encountered him to seek the happiness they deserved one day at a time. The family is receiving visitors at the Weed home, 1205 SE 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale, today Feb. 18 between 6 and 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Unity Church of Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Juliette Jones officiating. A memorial service will also be held in Connecticut at a time to be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Clay may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6350 North Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. 33301-2130.

GERALD MILES SOWELL
Gerald Miles Sowell, 62, of 29l5 Lisenby Ave. Lot A, died Tuesday night in a local hospital. He was a native of Chipley, Fla., graduating from Chipley High School in l957, where he was a member of the football team. He was a Flight Line Personnel Supervisor for Sowell Aviation. He was preceded in death by his stepmother and stepfather, Vera and Russell (Sonny Boy) Suggs; and a brother, W.R. (Bill) Sowell. He is survived by two daughters, Abigail Sowell and Maura Sowell; a half-sister, Syble Murray of Atlanta, Ga.; a nephew, Don Sowell of Panama City; four nieces: Dianne Preston of Columbus, Ga., Denise Montford and Deborah K. Sowell, both of Panama City and Jane Byrd of Atlanta. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at ll a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakie Ridge Church Cemetery, Chipley, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
