Mr. James Oren Holt, age 81, of Rt. 1, Blountstown, Fla., died Saturday night, March 11, 2000, at the Calhoun Liberty hospital in Blountstown, Fla. Mr. Holt was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He and his Iris were owners and operators of the Seminole Restaurant near the Chipola River for over 25 years. James started the first Catfish Hatchery in Calhoun County, farmed, worked as a carpenter and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife: Iris Hold of Blountstown, Fla.; one son and daughter in law: Frank and Sylvia Gates of Blountstown, Fla.; one brother: Carlton Holt of Blountstown, Fla.; one sister: Olivia (Holt) Kilcrease of Albany, Ga.; two granddaughters: Holley Gates of Tallahassee, Fla., and Gina Gates of Blountstown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at 2 p.m. CST from the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Richerson, the Rev. Mickey Johnson and the Rev. Marvin Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends tonight, March 13, 2000, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, Fla.

CATHERINE VIRGINIA "KIT" MABIE
Mrs. Catherine Virginia "Kit" Mabie, 75, of 2947 Hwy 31 N. in Marbury, Ala., passed away Thursday, March 9, at a nursing home in Montgomery, Ala. Mrs. Mabie had been a resident of Lynn Haven from 1970 to 1991 and moved to Port Richey, Fla. She was a retired secretary, was of the Catholic faith, did volunteer work for St. John's Catholic Church and for the Kaleidoscope Theatre, was a notary public and performed several marriages in Panama City. She also served her country in the U.S. Army-Air Corp during World War II. Mrs. Mabie is survived by her sons: Robert G. Mabie and wife Linda of Clintondale, N.Y., Kenneth D. Mabie of Walden, N.Y, and Richard W. Mabie and wife Deborah of Shamong, N.J.; a daughter, Joan C. Wilkins and her friend George of Marbury, Ala.; a brother, Gerald Coombs of Wocester, N.Y.; and a sister, Mildred Koren of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Monsignor William A. Crowe officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Robert Mabie, Kenneth Mabie, Richard Mabie, and George Montz. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, March 13.

SARAH FRANCES "FANNIE" MONTGOMERY
Mrs. Fannie Montgomery passed away Sunday, March 12, at 2:35 a.m. in Port St. Joe after an extended illness. She was born Sarah Frances Kirk to James and Irene Kirk on June 4, 1921, in Compass Lake, Fla. A native of Jackson County, she moved to Port St. Joe after she married the late George Lenard Montgomery and has resided here for more than 60 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Sarah Ann Williams and husband Tommy of Clarksville; two sons, Robert Leonard Montgomery Sr. and wife Helen of Port St. Joe, and George Edward Montgomery of St. Joe Beach; two sisters, Ioma Seay of Port St. Joe and Thera G. Burge of Blountstown; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Comforter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Port St. Joe at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, with the Rev. Billy Rich and the Rev. H.R. Naberhuis officiating. Internment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery.

GEORGE OLLIE WHITESELL
On Sunday, March 12, Mr. George Ollie Whitesell went to be with the Lord and his loved ones. All who knew him well will feel a deep sense of loss at his passing, but his extraordinary kindness, strength, humor and generosity will be with us forever. George follows his beloved wife of 53 years, Viola Cooper Whitesell; and a grandson, George McKeehan Roberts. He was also preceded in death by two older brothers, Ralph and Cliff Whitesell of Lewisburg, Tenn., where George was born on Feb. 18, 1917. Mr. Whitesell relocated from Cleveland, Ohio, to Panama City Beach in 1982 when he retired as vice president of sales from Chromium Corp. of America. He was very active in the Cleveland Roamers Golf Association and had been a Mason for many years. George is survived by his daughters, Carolyn W. Roberts of Panama City Beach and Cathryn Sheridan (Cobb) of Orlando; a grandson, Derek Sheridan of Orlando; Ms. Bobbi Resser and Mr. Tom Brisse of Panama City Beach, who were like family and deeply loved by Mr. Whitesell; also survived along with a stepson, Henry O. Mins (Dell) of Birmingham, Ala. George led an active and interesting life virtually until his passing and his various interests included his lifelong love of the game of golf. He also leaves behind Mr. Sam Floyd and all of his friends and extended family at The Holiday Golf Club, whom he adored and where he worked as a Marshall. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, March 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We invite all who loved him and were touched by his life to attended the funeral service on Tuesday, March 14, at 4 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. CHARLES HENRY EGGERS
Charles Henry Eggers, 88 of Youngstown, Fla., died Saturday, March 11, 2000, in a local hospital. He had been a resident of Bay County for seven years moving here from Georgia. He was a truck driver for Bob Hall Trucking. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Willoughby and husband, Charles; a son, Edward Waites Sr. all Youngstown, Fla., five grandchildren: Patricia Ann Henderson and Darnell Green, Tonya Henderson and Mike Lingerfelt of Panama City, Eddie Waites Jr. and Shanna Odom of Lynn Haven, Fla., James Waites of Youngstown, Fla., Misty Waites of Lynn Haven; 13 great grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, Edward Willoughby, Michael Willoughby, and two stepdaughters, Sheila Grove and Tina Grove both of Daytona Beach, Fla. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating.

DORIS 'MAE' GARBUTT
Mrs. Doris "Mae" Garbutt, 86, of Marysville, Mich., died Monday, March 13, 2000, in Panama City Beach. Born in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, she was visiting with her son at the time of her death. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church-Marysville, was a member of Order of Eastern Star and the Church Women United. Mrs. Garbutt is survived by one son, Ted Garbutt and wife Patricia; two daughters, Ann Norton and husband Joseph, Barbara Garbutt; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Mae Garbutt. Funeral services will be held in Michigan. Pollock & Randall Funeral Home at 912 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron, Mich. 48060, will be in charge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Mrs. Garbutt.

HENRIETTA M. HARRIS
Henrietta M. Harris, 53, of Panama City Beach, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at her home. She had been a resident of Bay County for 17 years moving here from Moss Point, Miss. She was a tax preparer for H & R Block. She was a graduate of Moss Point High School and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by her husband, Wayne H. Harris of Panama City Beach; two daughters, Stephanie Leigh Harris of Pass Christian, Miss., Jennifer Harris Condiff and her husband, LeviVriah; mother, Henrietta Smith; three sisters, Sandra Gail Hardy, Blanche Opal Webb all of Panama City Beach, Mary Ellen Waller and her husband, Charles of Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6530 N. Lagoon Dr. Panama City Beach, with Alan Montopoli officiating. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of NW Florida or the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in memory of Henrietta Harris.

WILLIS 'PUNCH' HOUSTON HOLLEY SR.
Willis (Punch) Houston Holley Sr., 76, of Panama City, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in a local hospital. He was born March 14, 1923, in Cottondale, Fla. He was the owner of Holley Insurance Agency for 40 years. He was very active in the community. He served on the Board of Directors for the Heart Association and the Junior Museum. He was the past president and State Lt. Gov. for the Optimist Club. He was a past member of the March of Dimes and the Chamber of Commerce where he was named member of the year. He was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church. Mr. Holley was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Loren Holley; granddaughter, Vicki Harris Haupt; brothers, Earl and Wilburn Holley and sister, Alice Johnson. He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Holley Harris of Niceville, Fla.; son, Willis H. Holley Jr. and his wife, Pat of Panama City; grandson, Rob Harris; two granddaughters, Lin Holley Byrd and her husband, Dennis and Lori Holley; four sisters: Madine Owens, Gertrude Tharp, Kathleen Labrato, Aileen Wagnon, and two sisters-in-law, Nell Holley and Ann Holley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the American Heart Association in memory of Willis Holley Sr.

PAUL BRANNON HUCKEBY
Mr. Paul Brannon Huckeby, 79, of Port St. Joe, passed away Monday, March 13, 2000, in Bay Medical Center. Mr. Huckeby was born and reared in Atlanta, Ga., and served as a sonar technician in the Navy during World War II. After his enlistment, he attended the University of Georgia and earned a Doctorate of Law degree. He worked for the FBI and had a private law practice. Mr. Huckeby later earned a Doctorate degree in Education and taught in public schools. He worked for Dade County, Fla., as the Administrator of Dade County Public Schools Manpower Department until his retirement in 1986. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and was a meber of St. James Episcopal Church. Since his retirement, he was also an active woodworker. Survivors include his wife, Betty Huckeby of Port St. Joe and his son, Paul Brannon Huckeby Jr., of St. Petersburg. Memorialization will be by cremation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Hunt. Those that wish may make donations in his memory to the organization or charity of your choice.

WILLIS ALBERT McLEMORE JR.
Willis Albert McLemore Jr, 80, of Chipley, Fla., died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in his home. He had been a resident of Washington County for three years moving there from Panama City. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Engineering & Equipment in 1984 where he worked as a counter salesman. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by a daughter, Anita Waits and her husband, Johnny of Chipley, Fla.; three sons: Al McLemore and his wife, Shari of Ocala, Fla., Danny McLemore and his wife, Ruby of Perry, Fla., Mason McLemore of Panama City; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Umberger officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring to may make a contribution to American Cancer Society in memory of Willis McLemore Jr.
