Funeral services for S.E. Denny, 81, of Panama City, who died Saturday, March 18, at a local hospital, will be held today at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Britton and the Rev. Henry Hazard officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, 18328 Gulf Boulevard, Indian Shores, Fla. 34635-2097 or to Save-the-Redbirds League, 114 Sansome, Room 605, San Francisco, CA 94104 in memory of Mr. Denny.

Mr. Charles Draper Sr., 89, of Lynn Haven, died Saturday, March 18, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. Draper and son, Charles Draper Jr., both of Panama City. BERNICE THOMAS FAULK
Mr. Bernice Thomas Faulk, 84, formerly of Dothan, Ala., died Sunday, March 19, in Florida after an extended illness. Mr. Faulk was born in Dale County on Oct. 19, 1915, the son of William Thomas Faulk and Annie Mae Faulk. Mr. Faulk served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Bernice was a devout Christian and a longtime member of the Assembly of God Faith. Mr. Faulk spent the majority of his life as a resident of the Dothan Community. He is preceded in death by wife, Nancy Lois McClendon Faulk; two sisters, Belle Lizana and Annie Will Scott; two brothers, Rofus Faulk and James Dewitt Faulk. He is survived by three sons: Bernice Faulk and wife Carolyn of Panama City, John Faulk of Dothan, Ala., and James Faulk and his wife Elizabeth of Dothan, Ala.; five grandchildren: Ronnie Faulk and his wife Kristen, JD Baker and his wife Gloria, Wendy Hall and her husband Jack, Kristopher James Faulk and Brian Patrick Faulk; brother Joe Faulk of Graceville; sisters Mildred Shehane of Columbus, Ga., and Ollie Bea Sulgrove of Missouri; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at Gardens of Memory in Kinsey, Ala.. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kent-Thornton Funeral Home.

Mr. Bob Kirkland, 53, of 2308 Sweetgum Drive in Bonifay passed away on Saturday, March 18, at his residence. Burial will be held at Bonifay City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Mr. Kirkland is survived by his wife Sandra Lee Huff Kirkland of Bonifay; parents Warren and Charity Knight of Panama City; sons: Robert Earl Kirkland Jr. of Jackson, Tenn., Larry Marlin Kirkland of Greenhead, Fla., Kevin Lane Kirkland of St. Louis, Mo., Brad Scott of Collinsville, Texas, Noah Thomas Kirkland of St. Louis, and Shane Evan Kirkland of Bonifay; daughters, Becky Lynn Marallo of North Carolina and Misty Elaine Kirkland of Bonifay; brothers: Michael Knight of Virginia, Mather Knight of Athens, Ga., Warren Knight Jr. of Geneva, Ala., Russell Knight of Louisiana and Gregory Knight of Panama City; sister Virginia Sapp of Altha, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Kirkland is preceded in death by sister, Deborah Elaine Knight.

MRS. LILA B. McGLOCKLIN
Mrs. Lila B. McGlocklin, 54, of Panama City, died Saturday, March 18, at her residence. Mrs. McGlocklin was a native of Bicola Province, the Philippines, and moved here in 1982 from Angles City. She was a member of the St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She was in charge of public relations for the Filipino American Association. Mrs. McGlocklin is survived by her husband, Walton P. McGlocklin of Panama City; two daughters, Tina and Cherilyn McGlocklin, both of Panama City; son William McGlocklin of Panama City; grandson Elijah Hasty of Panama City; and 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Monsignor Ricardo Hernandez officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Funeral Home today, March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.

MILLARD 'JACK' MINCHEW
Mr. Millard "Jack" Minchew, 76, beloved husband of Juanita Minchew, of Callaway and Wewahitchka passed away on Friday, March 17, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City. Jack, a decorated veteran honored with The Purple Heart and Bronze Medal, was proud to have served his country during World War II. He served four years as a Callaway city commissioner and was known throughout the Southeastern United States as an avid sportsman. His memory will be lovingly cherished by his sons, Donnie Minchew and wife Angie of Wewahitchka, and Jimmy Minchew and wife Rachel of Callaway; daughter, Darla Wilson of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Greg Wilson and wife Tammy, Jory Blumer and wife Nicole, James Michael Minchew and wife Melody, Beth Wilson, Kevin Minchew, Stephanie Minchew, Stacy Minchew, Arielle Boye, Joel Gonzalez and Jocelyn Minchew; great-grandchildren: Jessica Norris, Miranda Wilson, Dallas Minchew, Austin Minchew and Kory Blumer. Jack also leaves behind a host of family and friends including his mother-in-law Trudie Dauphin, Aunt Detla Mathews, brothers William W. "Junior" Minchew and wife Verleen, and Gordon Minchew; sisters: Myrleen Culbreth, Minnie Lee Leneve, and Brenda Taggart; sisters-in-law, Ouida Ward and Jean Weirts; brothers-in-law, Mildon Dauphin and wife Sue, and Paul Dauphin and wife Ann; son-in-law Glen Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 20, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Panama City, conducted by the Rev. Gene Hodges and Mr. Mildon Dauphin. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The Bay County Sheriff's Dept. honor guard will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Minchew's telephone friends. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Mr. Minchew's son Donnie Minchew, 1181 E. River Road in Wewahitchka.

HAZEL SPEARS VAUGHAN
Mrs. Hazel Spears Vaughan, 67, of South Johnson St., Samson, Ala., and of Panama City Beach, died Wednesday, March 15, in Houston, Texas, after an extended illness. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, in the Gulf View United Methodist Church of Panama City Beach with her pastor, the Rev. Jim Fillingham, officiating. Internment will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Mrs. Vaughan's church, Gulfview United Methodist Church, 232 Rose Lane, Panama City Beach, Fla. 32413. Mrs. Vaughan was born on Aug. 14, 1932, in Samson, Ala. She was the daughter of the late Noah and Lillie Pearl Jones Spears and was a resident of Samson for most of her life. Mrs. Vaughan graduated from Samson High School and the University of Montevallo. She had worked as a retail ladies fashion buyer and later as owner of a ladies dress shop. She retired as supervisor of the Family and Children's Services Unit of the Geneva County Department of Human Resources. Mrs. Vaughan was a devoted wife and a Christian. Survivors include her husband, Glen Vaughan of Panama City Beach; stepson, John Glen Vaughan, Atlanta, Ga.; stepdaughter, Allyson Vaughan Morgan and her husband Ronnie of Dothan, Ala.; stepgrandchildren, Drew and Ross Morgan of Dothan, Ala.; sister-in-law, Frances Spears of Kinston, Ala.; nieces: Nyokia Bowdoin of Elba, Ala., Charla Adkison of Enterprise, Ala., Alice Ann Brewer of Tampa, and Halusa Owens of Minter, Ala.; nephews, Johnny Brewer of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Joel Brewer of Tampa; great-nephew Bruce Owens of Camden, Ala.; and great-niece Peggy Peak of Selma, Ala.
