Mr. James Robert Glass, 56, of Panama City, Fla, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in National Healthcare Center. He was a lifelong resident of this area coming here in 1976 from East Point. He was the manager of Rosalis Seafood in Southport and was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1389. Mr. Glass is preceded in death by his father, Buddy Glass. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Glass of Panama City; his parents, Chari Lynn and Charles Rosalis of Southport; one daughter, Fonda Ashton and fiance Mark Baker of Ocala; one brother, Gerald T. Glass and wife Joann of East Point, Fla.; one sister, Keri Wells of Southport; three grandchildren: Alyssa Evans, Beverly Ashton and Justin Ashton. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in First Assembly of God Church Southport with the Rev. Nixon Miller and the Rev. Darwin Glass officiating. Interment will follow. The following gentlemen will service as pallbearers: Bill Mielke, Rusty Kyser, his lifelong friend Ray Little, Winford Langley, Walter Ellis, Jessie Miller and Hubert Kyser. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Mr. Glass.

Funeral services for Catherine Herndon Lasseter, of 830 Florida Ave., Panama City, who died Saturday, April 8, 2000, in her home, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Wendell Owenby officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the medical association of your choice in memory of Catherine Lasseter.

ERNEST WHALEY JONES
Ernest Whaley Jones, Lt Col (Retired) USMCR, 83, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at his home. Born in New Orleans, La., he was a longtime resident of Panama City Beach. He was a member of St. Thomas By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Laguna Beach, was a graduate of Tulane University and was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps in 1939. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Nell of Panama City Beach; three sons: Charley and wife Marsha of Houston, Texas, Brian and wife Sandy of Yorktown, Va., Michael and wife Denise of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren: Chuck, Kelly, Nicki, Katie and Diana; one great-grandchild, Guinevere; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14, at 2 p.m. in St. Thomas By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, First Avenue, and Wisteria Lane, Laguna Beach, with the Rev. Charles R. Floyd, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in memory of Mr. Jones.

FLOYD B."TOBY" MEAD
Mr. Floyd B. "Toby" Mead, age 69 of Callaway, died Tuesday, April 11, in Panama City. Mr. Mead was a native of Susquehanna, Pa., and had lived in Panama City for 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had worked for Paulk Moving and Storage for eight years. Mr. Mead was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Seamans and her husband Elbert of Pennsylvania, and Vickey Welch and husband Walter of Hallstead, Pa.; a sister, Frances Fox and husband J.V. of Callaway; a sister-in-law, Betty Mead of Panama City; grandchildren Lydia, Harry, Krista, Stacy, Jennifer and Kimberly; great-grandchildren: "Little Paul", Johnny, Cassandra, and Amanda; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special niece, Kathleen McCard. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Wayland D. Whitton officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will meet at the home of Frances Fox, 121 Fox Avenue, in Callaway.

WILLIAM L. ROBINSON
Mr. William L. "Roy" Robinson, 92, of Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday evening, April 11, 2000, at his residence. Born in Berrydale, Fla., he moved here in 1942 from Pensacola, Fla. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. He was also a member of International Union of Operating Engineers and St. Andrews Masonic Lodge. Mr. Robinson is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Brake Robinson. He is survived by three daughters: Betty J. Weeks and husband Charlie, Joanne R. Douglas and husband Bill, all of Panama City; Barbara J. Robinson of Tallahassee; one sister, Lela Mae Sanders of Pensacola; ten grandchildren: Billy Douglas, Jennifer Douglas, Kay Douglas, Pam Douglas, Esther Douglas, Debbie Douglas, Cynthia Capps, James Capps, Bob Capps and Richard Capps; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

JOCELYN B. CHEDISTER
Jocelyn Brieger Chedister, 76, of New London, N.H., died Tuesday, April 11, at the Clough Center in New London. She was born Feb. 17, 1924, the daughter of August Brieger and Carolyn Frank, in Michigan City, Ind. Jo, as she was known to friends, grew up in Michigan City, where she graduated from Michigan City High School. She married Warren Chedister on Jan. 25, 1946, in Michigan City. She lived with her husband and children in several locations including Dekalb, Ill., and Panama City, Fla. Jocelyn was a longtime member of Christian Science Mother Church in Boston, Mass., and of local Christian Science Branch Churches in the areas where she lived. She is survived by her five children: Robert (Gayle) Chedister of Carmichael, Calif.; Paula (Allen) Bresnick of Grantham, N.H., William (Lori) Chedister of Geneva, Ill., Alice Chedister of Boston, Mass., and James Chedister of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service was held Thursday, April 20, at Elkins Chapel in Elkins, N.H. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Garden Fund of Clough Center at New London Hospital, 270 County Rd., New London, N.Y. 03257.

J. FRANK CHURCHWELL
Mr. J. Frank Churchwell, age 78, of Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1922, in Holmes County, Fla., to George and Ruby Churchwell. He was the owner of Churchwell Insurance and Real Estate. He was a member of Bay County Independent Insurance Agent's Association, past member of Bay County Board of Realtors, the Panama City Association of Life Underwriters, a past board member of United Cerebral Palsy, a past member of Downtown Improvement Board, a member of Panama City Lion's Club with perfect attendance for 35 years, a Shriner, and a member and chairman of the board of deacons of Cove Baptist Church. Mr. Churchwell served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1941-1944, during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Churchwell of Panama City; sons: Stephen Churchwell and his wife Barbara of Panama City, Larry Churchwell and his wife Sharon of Panama City, and Mike Churchwell and his wife Janet of Greenhead, Fla., Gerald Prescott and his wife Frances, Erwin Prescott and his wife Merelene, and Tommy Prescott and his wife Judy, all of Panama City; daughters, Ann Speedy and her husband Ron of Stone Mountain, Ga., Robbie Culpepper of Lynn Haven; brothers: Guy Churchwell of Panama City Beach, Carl Churchwell of Panama City, and Paul Churchwell of Panama City Beach; sisters: Ethel Andrews of Panama City, Edith Harford of Sebring, Fla., and Frances Prescott of Panama City; grandchildren: Teresa Churchwell, Dawn Carty, Stephen Churchwell Jr. and his wife Christi, Jimmy Churchwell, Allison Culpepper and her fiance Jeffrey Camp, Melissa Culpepper , Lesley Churchwell, Tyler Churchwell, Jennifer Churchwell, Logan Churchwell, Michael Churchwell, Kriste Larmore, Shane Prescott, Patches Prescott, Matthew Prescott, Dawn Trawick, Heather Prescott, and David Trawick; great-grandchildren: Olivia Churchwell, Hannah Larmore, Christian Prescott, Casey and Corbin Larmore. Mr. Churchwell was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Churchwell, who died Feb. 13, 1973. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.W. Hunt and the Rev. Adolph Bedsole officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Tyler Churchwell, Stephen Churchwell Jr., Jimmy Churchwell, and Jeffrey Camp. HOWARD COBB
Mr. Howard Cobb, age 84, of 5806 Tram Rd., Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at a local nursing facility. He has been a resident of the area since 1938, coming here from Graceville, Fla. Mr. Cobb was a logging job foreman for International Paper Co., Woodlands Division. He was a member of Bear Creek Assembly of God and was Choir Leader for 35 years. Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife, Gladys Cobb of Youngstown, Fla.; daughter, Brenda Daniel and husband F.M. of Panama City; sons, Harry Cobb and his wife Martha of Tallahassee, Fla., and Michael Cobb and his wife Elethea Ann of Panama City; a brother, Al Cobb of Panama City; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 15 at Bear Creek Assembly of God with the Rev. Phil Daniels and the Rev. James Raley officiating. Interment will follow at Youngstown Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Bryan Cobb, Stacy Cobb, Andy Cobb, Eric Cobb, Keith Hall, Rick Robbins, Tony Teas, and Drew Robbins.
