MR. HUGH DORSEY LEE
Mr. Hugh Dorsey Lee, 83, of Augusta died Sept. 11, 1997 at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home.
Born in Sharpsburg, Mr. Lee was a member of The Hill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two and was retired as a salesman from Yancey Brothers Inc. and Trax Inc.
Graveside services were held Sept. 13 at Oak Hill cemetery with the Rev. Fred Gunter officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice W. Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Janice C. Lee; brothers, William Harold Lee of Fayetteville, N.C., Phil Lee of Senoia; and sister, Jewel Breed of Opelika, Ala.

MR. CHARLES E. RICHARDSON
Mr. Charles E. Richardson, 72, of Senoia died Sept. 15, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Sept. 1, 1925 in Portage County, Ohio, Mr. Richardson was the son of the late William Thomas Richardson and Bernice (Inwood) Richardson. He was a member of Newnan Church of Christ.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War Two, Mr. Richardson was a retired security officer with the William L Bonnell Company.
Funeral services were held Sept. 16 at McKoon Funeral Home with Patrick Gill officiating assisted by Russ Fowler. Interment followed at Northview cemetery in New Martinville, W. Va. with the elders of Newnan Church of Christ serving as pallbearers and H.J. Little serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Survivors include his wife, Leona B. (Jackson) Richardson of Senoia; son, Mark W. Richardson of Massachusetts; step-daughter, Linda Wagner of Hogansville; step-son, Tony Jackson of Leisure City, Fla.; sister, Edith Porcase of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; brothers, Bill Richardson of Floral City, Fla., Don Richardson of New Smyrna Beach; sister-in-law, Joanne Fox, Moundsville, W. Va.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

MR. KEITH E. SAUCIER
Mr. Keith E. Saucier, 39, of Hogansville died Sept. 13, 1997 in Atlanta.
Born March 31, 1958 in Birmingham, Ala., Mr. Saucier was the son of the late Forrest E. Saucier Jr. and Peggy Larkin Saucier. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hogansville, where he served as organist.
Mr. Saucier studied at Peabody Conservatory, was a member of MENSA and Interpell and was a program review officer for the U.S. Department of Education.
Memorial services were held Sept. 16 at First United Methodist Church of Hogansville with the Rev. Charles Ritter and the Rev. Kevin Lobello officiating. Interment followed at Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church cemetery in Lone Oak.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Shea and Doug Williams of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Loretta Saucier of Lone Oak; and nieces, Amanda Anne Williams of Signal Mountain, Rachel Anne Saucier, Sara Kay Saucier, both of Lone Oak.

MRS. ERMA LOU TARLETON
Mrs. Erma Lou Tarleton, 95, of East Broad Street in Newnan died Sept. 13, 1997 at Beaulieu Convalescent Center in Newnan.
Born May 23, 1902 in Newnan, Mrs. Tarleton was the daughter of Louis and Alice (Sprayberry) Brimer and the widow of Earl Tarleton. She was a member of Andrews Chapel and a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Sept. 15 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Parrish officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Evans. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tolerson Watkins Jr. formerly of Newnan passed away Sept. 13, 1997 at Hospice Atlanta. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home in Newnan.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill cemetery in Newnan with the Rev. Fred Gunter officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice W. Lee; son Thomas H. Lee; and daughter-in-law Janice C. Lee, all of Augusta. Also, brothers, William Harold Lee of Fayetteville, N.C., and Phil Lee of Senoia, Ga.; and sister, Jewel Breed of Opelika, Ala.; three grandchildren.

MRS. EDNA LOIS PETTY
Mrs. Edna Lois Petty, 82, of Newnan died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1997, at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Mrs. Petty was born Sept. 13, 1914 in Carroll County, Georgia, daughter of Lewis Jefferson Helton and Della (Musick) Helton. She was a retired auditor and worked at Rich's Department Store. She was a member of the Methodist faith and was affiliated with a church in Carrollton, Ga. She was the widow of the late Clarence Petty.
Graveside services will be held at Lowell Methodist Church cemetery in Carrollton Saturday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. John Evans officiating. The family was receiving friends at McKoon Funeral Home on Jackson Street in Newnan Friday evening from 6-9 p.m.
Survivors include sisters Alline Allgood and Clara Duncan, both of Newnan; and step-daughter Hilda Petty Stewart of Loganville, Ga.

MRS. LORENA H. PLUNKETT
Mrs. Lorena Henderson Plunkett, 74, of Covington, Ga. and a long-time resident of Newnan, died August 25, 1997, at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Ga.
Mrs. Plunkett, the former Lorena Faye Henderson, was born June 7, 1923 in Cabell Co., West Virginia, daughter of the late John and Winifred Weed Henderson. A native of Huntington, West Virginia, she had previously lived in Newnan for 21 years. She had worked as head cashier at Evans Supermarket in Huntington for 18 years, and after moving to Newnan had worked as a medical records clerk at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and at Newnan Hospital. During World War II, Mrs. Plunkett was a part of the Liberty replacement job program, and took her husband's place as a ship welder after he went into the service. She worked at the Behlehem Shipyard in Baltimore, MD, and because of her participating in the Liberty program, she was featured on the cover of the January 1944 edition of Life Magazine. Mrs. Plunkett had lived in Covington since June of 1996, and was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church in Oxford.
A child, Conard Phillips Jr., preceded her in death, as did a brother, Ralph Henderson.
Funeral services were held the afternoon of August 28 at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, Covington. Officiating was the Rev. Lee Fullerton and the Rev. Mike Stanford. Interment was in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Robert W. Plunkett of Covington; children, Rodd Joe Phillips of Atlanta, Ga., Jerry Dale Phillips of Orlando, Fla., Sue Ann Clark of Gaithersburg, MD, Conard Phillips III of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Bonnie Jane Sanford of Atlanta, and Sharon Louise Plunkett of Covington; sister, Dorothy King, Jackson, MS; brothers, Don Henderson, Huntington, WV, John Henderson of Cocoa, Fla; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

MR. WILLIAM LAWSON COLE
Mr. William Lawson Cole, 75, of Roswell died Sept. 3, 1997.
Mr. Cole was a former president of Wells Fargo Armored Service Corporation having served with the company from 1949-1979. He become the owner of Risk Survey Services of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Atlanta.
He was also a sales representative for Procter & Gamble, Distributing Co. from 1946-1949, as well as the Consejero Delegado managing director of Transportes Blindados, S.A. in Madrid, Spain from 1974-1988.
Mr. Cole was a former member of the Miami Florida Rotary Club, the Miami Executives Association, the Miami Club, the Riviera Country Club of Coral Gables, the Memphis Country Club, the Five Lakes Outing Club in Hughes, Ark. and the Anniston Country Club.
Mr. Cole was also a former member of the European Security Transport Association, the Spain Security Transport Association, and the Ligue Internationale des Societe de Surveillance. He was the former vice chairman of the Private Security Services Council and the American Society for Industrial Security.
Mr. Cole was also the former president of the National Armored Car Association. He served as a deck officer with the U.S. Maritime Service, a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve and an officer/instructor for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
He served in the North Atlantic, the South Atlantic, Italy, Caribbean and European theaters.
Graveside services were held Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill cemetery with Dr. Watson Mills officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Cole of Roswell; sons, James W. Cole of Tampa, Fla. and Steven B. Cole of Street-Somerset, England; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

MR. PAUL ALEX LANE
Mr. Paul Alex Lane, 59, of Glenn, Ga., died Sept. 5, 1997 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Mr. Lane was born July 1, 1938 in Randolph County, Alabama, son of Thomas Alex and Charlie Will Freeman Lane. He was a plumbing contractor, and had been a licensed master plumber for 34 years. He lived in the Troup County area most of his life and was a member of Glenn Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Newnan Shriners Club and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Funeral services were held the afternoon of Sept. 7 at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel, LaGrange, with the Rev. Mike Hornsby and the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment was in Bacon Level Cemetery, Chambers County, Alabama.
Survivors include his wife, Shanna Lane, of Glenn, Ga.; daughters, Carol Lane Sprayberry, of Newnan, Crystal Lane Grant, of Senoia, and Melanie Lou Lane, of Glenn; sons, Charles Alex Lane, of Newnan, and Paul Alex Lane II of Glenn; sisters, Bonnie Lane Pritchett, Milford Delaware, Martha Lane Bennett, Athens, Ga., Tommie Lou Lane Roper, Dover, Delaware, and Lucile Lane Pope, Glenn, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

MR. RAY VOGT
Mr. Ray Vogt, 76, of Newnan, died August 26, 1997, in New York.
Mr. Vogt was born December 23, 1920 in New York, son of Maurice and Dorothy Vogt. He was retired from Allied Freight Service of New York. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Newnan with Dr. Joel Richardson, the Rev. Billy Burks and the Rev. Harry Barrow officiating.
Mr. Vogt is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Bash) Vogt; daughter, Joyce Cook of Fairfax, Virginia; son, John Vogt of New Jersey; sister, Doris Deasey, Valley Stream, New York; and four grandchildren.
