Mrs. Sadie Lois Tolbert, 84, of Poplar Road in Newnan died June 24, 1997.
Born July 14, 1912 in Fayette County, Mrs. Tolbert was the daughter of the late Robert P. Couch and Claude Morgan. A member of the Baptist faith, she was retired from the William L Bonnell Company.
Funeral services were held June 25 at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Powers officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gary Howard. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery with Stanley Sutton, Morgan Couch, Jimmy Sutton, Jack David, Kenny Street and Gary Tolbert serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her daughter, Howard and (Joanne) Brown of Newnan; grandchildren, Debbie Duvall, Randy Brown, Jeff Brown, Tim Brown, all of Newnan; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ethel Lee Wagner, 69, of Hogansville died June 24, 1997 at her home.
Born Feb. 8, 1928 in Heard County, Mrs. Wagner was the daughter of the late James Robert Thomaston and Louellen Williamson Thomaston. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held June 26 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Dean, pastor Will Fisher and the Rev. R.C. Prescott officiating. Interment followed at Corinth cemetery with Bobby Gaddy, Wesley Gaddy, Chad Gaddy, Jerry Hammett Jr., Lance Gaddy, Chance Gaddy, Rusty Hammett and Danny Hammett serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband Edward J. Wagner of Hogansville; daughter, Lille Mae Gaddy, Louise Gaddy, both of Hogansville; sons Harvey Hammett, Jerry Hammett, both of Hogansville; step-daughter, Charmane Desrosiers of Rochester, N.H.; sisters, Frances Lewis of Norfolk, Va., Ruby Mae Cobb of Virginia Beach, Va., Mary Lee Hammett of Corinth; brothers, Jack Thomaston of Chicago, Earl Thomaston of Franklin, J.L. Thomaston of Warrenton; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bryan K. Deason, 18, of Woodland Trail in Newnan died June 23, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Born March 13, 1979, Mr. Deason was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jean W. Barker.
Funeral services were held June 24 at First Baptist Church of Newnan with Dr. Gene Tyre officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill cemetery in Newnan with Grover Carter, Skeeter Thompson, Chris Waller, Adam Brown, David Asher and Bob Stitt serving as pallbearers.

Born March 16, 1937 in Coweta County, Mrs. Hendrix was the daughter of the late James Robert Shoemake and Ruby Smith Shoemake Wiggins. She operated Hendrix Grocery.

Born March 29, 1914 in Gordon, Ga., Mrs. McDade was the daughter of the late Dora George and the widow of Sarles R. McDade.

Born Jan. 12, 1912 in Opelika, Ala., Mr. Scott was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Moreland. He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Scott.

Born Jan. 1, 1900 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Thompson was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, BTU, Heroines of Jericho and other Christian organizations.
