Leesa Gail McClung Brooks
Ms. Leesa Gail McClung Brooks, age 50, of Conyers, Georgia died September 25, 2007. Leesa was born in Fulton County the daughter of the late Mary Louise Hincliffe and Joseph Max McClung. Leesa was a member of the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove. She had retired as Deputy Clerk in the State Court of Fulton County. Leesa enjoyed her family, was a devoted Atlanta Braves Fan, enjoyed animals and decorating.
Survivors are her son, Jack R. Brooks III of Conyers; sisters, Deborah Salguero of Stone Mountain, Pamela Ann Storey of Locust Grove and Sharon Smith Lamb and husband Jim of Barnesville, several nieces and nephews.
Services were held September 29 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Calleiro officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Rita Myers Todd
Mrs. Rita Myers Todd, age 53, of McDonough, Georgia formerly of Albany died September 26, 2007. Rita was born July 8, 1954 in Albany. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. She graduated from Riverview Academy 1972, and earned a Master Degree in Education from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. Rita was an Associate Director, AT&T, Online Customer Operations and had worked for Bell South/AT&T since June 1990.
Survivors are her husband, Raymond Todd of McDonough; a son, Matthew Griffin and his wife Jessica of Calhoun step daughter Cindy Langley and husband Brandon of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; parents Earl and Annette Myers of McDonough (formerly of Albany); sister, Connie Davis and husband Conner of Alpharetta; brother E. Dwight Myers and his wife Carol of Macon, grandson Dylan Langley; mother-in-law, Ellen Todd of Roopville; brother-in-law, Roger Todd and his wife Lou from Roopville; sister-in-law, Renee Bergeron and her husband Ernesto from Atlanta; niece, Anna Myers of Macon; nephews Stephen Davis and Michael Davis of Alpharetta and Christian Myers of Macon; niece-in-law Elena Bergeron of Atlanta; nephews-in-law Alexander Bergeron of Atlanta; Randy and Aime Todd of Dallas; Robert and Lori Todd of Conyers.
Services were held September 29 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Al O’Quinn officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Those who wish may make donations to Bethany Baptist Church, 4 N. Bethany Rd., McDonough, GA 30252. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Lemar Ford
Ronald Lemar Ford, age 61, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 27, 2007. He was born in Fulton County the son of the late Leartine Haney and Gaston Lee Ford. Mr. Ford retired as a chemist with Dekalb Water Authority.
He is survived by Aunts, Martha Morris of Springfield, Virginia, Betty Jenkins of Lawrenceville, Juanita Wike of McDonough and Mary Bobo of Alpharetta and numerous cousins.
Services were held October 1 at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Angerl officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Gladys Elizabeth Wilder
Gladys Elizabeth Wilder, age 93, of Stockbridge, Georgia died September 30, 2007. She was born in McDonough the daughter of the late John T. and Bessie Mae Hale Woodward. Mrs. Wilder was a charter member of the Philadelphia United Methodist Church which she joined in 1929. She was a life long resident of Henry County and was retired from Arrow Shirt Company. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Obie Wilder.
Mrs. Wilder is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wilder of Stockbridge; granddaughter, Melissa Santos of Thomaston, ; grandson, Jason Atkinson of Stockbridge; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Devante Brooks

Infant Devante Brooks, of Jonesboro, Georgia died September 14, 2007. He was born in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Devante is survived by his parents, Heather Leigh Geohagan and Jason Keith Brooks, of Jonesboro.

Graveside services were held on September 22 at Sherwood Memorial Park. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Robert Lee House

Mr. Robert Lee House, age 77, of McDonough, Georgia died September 14, 2007. Mr. House was born in Hall County the son of the late Francine Mealor and Charlie Thomas House. Mr. House was retired from his own business in Railroad Construction. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City. He served his country in the US Army. Mr. House enjoyed his family, friends and golf. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edith Chumney House; brothers, Junior and Weyman House and a sister, Faye Simmons.

Survivors are his children, Harold and Dona Wright of Richmond, Virginia, Bobby and Nancy House Jr. of Mt. Airy, Georgia, and Missy Hodges of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren, Harold Wright Jr., Cassie Wright, Megan Anderson, Lee House, Charlie House and James Hodges; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Charlesean Bennett and husband Tom of Rome, Mary Brown and husband Bruce of Cornelia and Margie Watts of Cornelia; loving friend and companion, Sadie Chumney and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held September 18 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Westminster Cemtetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jonathan (Johnny) Glenn Smith

Jonathan (Johnny) Glenn Smith, age 45, passed away September 14, 2007. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union #225 and did volunteer work for Rebuild Atlanta. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the US Navy.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Glen Smith and stepfather, Grady Burnett.

Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Felicia Smith of Maine; mother, Ruby Burnett of Conyers; sister, Jennifer Spann of Marietta; brother, Jeff Smith of Covington; partner in life, Tracy Cash of Jonesboro; nieces, Elise Spann; nephew, Noah Spann.

Funeral services were held September 24 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel with Pastor Brooks Lindsey officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Fairview Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy “Dee” Clark

Dorothy “Dee” Clark, age 64, of Jonesboro, Georgia died September 17, 2007. She was born the daughter of the late Herman and Angeline Clark. Ms. Clark enjoyed gardening and traveling, but most important to her was family.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her children, Janice Lynne Jones of McDonough, Michael L. Zuback of Flowery Branch, Melanie Michelle Edmonson of Molino, Florida; eight grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Clark of Bonifay, Florida, Herman Eugene Clark of Norcross, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held September 21 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn McDaniel Crawford

Mrs. Evelyn McDaniel Crawford, age 80, of Hampton, Georgia died September 20, 2007. She was born in Waynesville, North Carolina to the late William C. and Essie McClure McDaniel. She retired after 20 years with the United Postal Service, was a former Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Griffin, was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved to shop at thrift stores and yard sales. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Carey C. Crawford and by four sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Crawford is survived by her children, Sharon (William) Daws of Stockbridge, Carolyn Brown (Richard) of Hampton and Linda Wheeler (James) of Molena; grandchildren, Michael C. (Buddy) Payne, Bonnie S. Rutledge, Reinhart (Feller) Schauer, IV, Shawna Kraft, Jason Wheeler and Ashley Hicks; ten great grandchildren; sister, Jeri Woody of Camilla; special caregiver, Mike (Dude) Corbitt; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held September 23 from the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Garrison officiating. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the doctors and staff of St. Francis Hospital and Hughston Rehab Hospital, Columbus, Georgia. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
