Little Quentaveous Cortez Shropshire died Oct. 8, 1997 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.

He was born Oct. 8 to Tiffany Caldwell and Quentin Shropshire.

Graveside services were held Sunday at Senoia City cemetery in Senoia, Ga. with Brother Wilbert Cruver officiating.

Survivors include parents, Tiffany Nicole Caldwell and Quentin Shropshire; grandparents, Carolyn Shropshire and Shirley Maynard; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Jesse Warner

Mr. Jesse Warner of Newnan died Oct. 11, 1997.

He was the son of Mrs. Emma Warner.

Funeral services will be announced later by Sellers-Smith Funeral Home, Inc., Newnan.

Mrs. Katherine Moore Wright

Mrs. Katherine Moore Wright, 85, of Hogansville, died Oct. 12, 1997, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Mrs. Wright was born Oct. 1, 1912 in Upson County, daughter of the late Steven and Lila Salter Moore. She lived at Stovall for many years before making her home in Hogansville in 1979 and was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Stovall. She was wife of the late Joe Wilbur Wright, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Jane Futral of Newnan.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Lamar Truitt and the Rev. Jerry Cross will officiate. Interment will be in the Wright Family cemetery in the Stovall Community of Troup County.

Pallbearers will be Devin Waldrop, Kevin Waldrop, Jeff Wright, Michael Wright, Todd Wright and Bobby Joe Wright.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Mary Waldrop of Hogansville; sons, Render Wright of Mountville, Charles Wright of Prattville, Ala. and Joe Robert Wright of Thomaston; sister, Mrs. Ruby Gilmore of West Point; brother, W. J. Moore of Thomaston; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Miss April Lynn Lewis

Miss April Lynn Lewis, the infant daughter of Terry and Janice Lewis, died Oct. 11, 1997, at Southern Regional Hospital.

Graveside services were held Oct. 13 at Sargent Cemetery.

Survivors other than her parents include grandparents, William B. Foster, Dorothy Smith and Frank and Joann Lewis.

Mr. C.G. Hutson

Mr. C.G. Hutson, 74, of Newnan died Oct. 14 at Columbia Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Born April 11, 1923 in Wesson, Miss., Mr. Hutson was a retired operations superintendent for Mississippi Power and Light and a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 16 (today) at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. C.G. (Marjorie) Hutson of Newnan; sons, Michael Ray Hutson of Newnan, Richard Mack Hutson of California; daughter, Melissa Jane Blamire of Newnan; sisters, Ruby Lee Pipes of Louisiana and Helen Robinson of Oklahoma and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 6997, Marietta, Ga., 30065-6997.

Kaylee and Kaylin Matthews

Kaylee and Kaylin Matthews, twin daughter and son of Yashunda Beasley and Darrell Matthews, passed away Oct. 15, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Sellers-Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Jessie Lee Warner

Mr. Jessie Lee Warner, 45, of Country Club Road in Newnan passed away Oct. 11, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1951, Mr. Warner was the son of the late Armour Warner Sr. He was a member of New Life Community Worship Center in Newnan.

Funeral services were held Oct. 15 from Clark Chapel United Methodist Church in Luthersville with the Rev. J. Neal and the Rev. R.W. Sutton officiating, assisted by Azell Warner, Warner's brother. Interment followed at Eastview cemetery with nephews and cousins serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his mother, Emma Lee Warner; sons, Calvin Lamar, Deon, Victor, Emanuel; step-daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Kat) Bell; step-grandsons, Demarrio and Deante; sisters, Mollie Louise Johnson, Jennie Brown; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Armour Warner Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Willie Casper Warner, the Rev. and Mrs. Azell Warner, Clifford Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Warner; uncle Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Warner Sr.; aunt Della Pearl Martin; nieces and nephews.

Mr. James Nelson McKnight, 63, of Fayetteville died Oct. 15, 1997.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 18 (today) at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Couch McKnight of Fayetteville; sons, Mr. and Mrs. Scot (Shelli) McKnight of Stockbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Greg (Donna) McKnight of Senoia, Chris McKnight of Fayetteville; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Sonja) Embrey of Senoia; and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Al (Carol) Fossett of Greensboro, N.C.

Mr. J.L. Moody, 66, of Lynn Circle in Newnan died Oct. 17, 1997 at his home.

Born June 1, 1931 in Marietta, Mr. Moody was a retired jailer with the College Park Police Department and a U.S. Army veteran.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 18 (today) at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Waldon officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Annette (Tony) Lee Moody of Newnan; mother, Lucille Foster of Fairburn; sons, J.L. Mr. Andrew J. Pullen

Mr. Andrew J. Pullen, 86, of Grantville died Oct. 16, 1997 at Georgia Baptist medical Center in Atlanta.

Born July 17, 1911 in Randolph County, Ala., Mr. Pullen was the son of the late William and Margaret McCollough Pullen. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Grantville and the Grantville Senior Center and was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 19 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with the Rev. Chris King and the Rev. Gene Minix officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Shirley Smith of Grantville; step-sons, Billy Freeman of Atlanta, Jimmy Freeman of Sharpsburg; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Mr. Edgar "Ed" Strickland

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar "Ed" Strickland, 89, of Newnan passed away Oct. 15, 1997 at Starcrest of Newnan.

Born June 9, 1908 in Troup County, Mr. Strickland was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 18 (today) at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Corinth with the Rev. W.R. Favors officiating, assisted by the Rev. Billy Glanton and the Rev. R.W. Sutton. Interment will follow at Eastview cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Strickland; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. George (Elnora) Long, Lucille Strickland, Mattie P. Strickland, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Eloise) McGruder, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie L. (Lugenia) Dukes, all of Newnan, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Lundell) Addison of Carrollton; step-daughter, Josie Mae Smith; sons, the Rev. and Mrs. Johnny C. (Gloria) Strickland, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Grace) Strickland; step-sons, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Frank (Carrie) Pritchett, Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Thresa) Pritchett of Newnan; brother, Mr. and Mrs. Warner (Louise) Strickland of Miami, Fla.; 57 grandchildren; 72- great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Survivors other than their parents include their sister, Lyric; brother Shaquille; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James (Patricia) Matthews, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Kathy) Beasley; great-grandparents, Madene Williams, Mrs. Cecil Hopkins, Cora Matthews; aunts, Phyllis Matthews, Kim Beasley, Sonya Matthews; uncles, William Matthews, Carlos Matthews, Antoine Matthews; and cousins.

Mr. W.F. "Penney" Maxwell

Mr. W.F. "Penney" Maxwell, 82, of Sharpsburg died Oct. 16, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Maxwell began his career with Chicago and Southern Airlines, which later merged with Delta Air Lines. He retired after 35 years of services. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newnan.

A private memorial service was planned in Mr. Maxwell's home state of Mississippi.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Elliott Maxwell; and sons, Sam Maxwell of Birmingham, Ala. and George Maxwell of Sharpsburg.

Memorial contributions can be made to Camp Smile A Mile, P.O. Box 550155, Birmingham, Ala., 35255.
