Mrs. Mollie Sue Williamson Sims, 68, of Davisboro entered into rest on Saturday, May 22, 2010.
Mrs. Sims was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Jordan Williamson Sr. and the late Mollie Smith Williamson. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Rev. Chad Watkins officitaing. Burial was in the Brownwood cemetery in Sandersville.
She was preceded in death by her brother, J.S. “Buddy” Williamson.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Sims Sr. of Davisboro; sons, Victor Sims Jr. (Coleen) of Buckhead, Brian Sims (Shana) of Davisboro, Larry Sims (Tara) of Sandersville, and Garry Sims (Bonnie) of Sandersville; grandchildren, Jordan Sumner Sims, Victoria Sims, Katie Sims, Abby Sims, Mallie Sims, Kaden Sims, Jacey Sims, Logan Sims, Taylor Sims and Douglas Sims.
Pallbearers were Tim Chapman, Carl Chapman, Jim Claxton, Jordie Williamson, Matt Evans and Chip Evans.

Mrs. Mary E. Skinner of Wrens entered into rest on May 15, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Skinner, a native of Aiken, S.C., lived in Wrens for the past seven years. She was a homemaker and a member of Your Hope Baptist Church.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Your Hope Baptist Church at 5 p.m., with Rev. Joe B. Walden officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, George Donald Skinner; one son, Richard D. Burch, Clayton; three daughters, Judy W. Taylor and Tina M. Wilkie Burch, both of Grovetown, and Pamela M. Leframboise, Canada; one brother, Benjamin W. Swaringen, Graniteville, S.C.; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews; three great-nieces and two great-nephews; two nieces, four great-nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews-in-law.

Mrs. Evelen Walker Vaughn of Keysville entered into rest on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the residence of her daughter.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Queen V. (William) Johnson, Keysville, Deloris V. Curtiss, Hephzibah, and Annette V. (Isaiah) Hodge, Keysville; one son, Arthur Vaughn, Keysville; two daughters-in-law, Mildred S. Vaughn, Miami, Fla., and Evelyn S. Vaughn, Wadley; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives; and caregiver of three years, Deborah Terrell.

Survivors include his parents, Willie and Felicia Batts; one brother, Willie Lee Batts III, all of Macon; grandparents, Willie and Viola Batts of Louisville, the late Essie Mae Hilton, Shirley Brown of Albany, the late Willie Ruth Brown, and the late Gilbert Jones; great-grandparents, Horace and Pearlie Batts of Louisville; and two aunts, Sylvia Batts and Lanisa Brown, both of Atlanta.

Mr. Alton Gardner Fredericks Sr., 82, of Augusta entered into rest on Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home.
Mr. Fredericks served his country in the Navy and was retired from insurance sales.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, with Rev. Joe Walden.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Daisy Gardner and Cecil Fredericks; son, Byron Steven Fredericks; brother, Jimmy Fredericks; and sister, Erlene Fredericks.
Survivors include his children, Randy Fredericks (Nancy), Cathy Ford (Manuel), Clark Fredericks (Jane), Valerie Landrum (Jeff), Alton Fredericks II and Holly Redman; daughter-in-law, Joy Fredericks; brother, Ray Fredericks; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Ana Guerrero
Miss Ana Guerrero, 4, of Louisville entered into rest on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia.
Miss Guerrero was born June 30, 2005, in Augusta. She had just finished Pre-K at Louisville Academy, and attended Saint Joan of the Ark Catholic Church.
Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2010, at Saint Joan of the Ark Catholic Church in Louisville, with Father Matthew Ericksen serving as celebrant.
Survivors include her parents, Jose Guerrero and Evelia Hernandez; sister, Arleth Guerrero; brother, Jose Guerrero, all of Louisville.

Mrs. Pamela Sue Hart
Mrs. Pamela Sue Hart, 53, of Gibson entered into rest on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Alan Tillman and Rev. Loy Whitten officiating.
Mrs. Hart was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and was the daughter of the late Amos Arnold and the late Valerie Reinicke Arnold. She lived in New Jersey for many years before making her home in Gibson for the past 10 years. Mrs. Hart was retired from Wal-Mart in Thomson. She also attended Open Door Baptist Church in Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Matthews.
Survivors include her husband, William T. Hart of Gibson; brothers, Edward Arnold (Penny) and Michael Arnold, all of Gibson; friends and caregivers, Barbara Arnold and Marcia Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. William Luther “Bill” Hill
Mr. William Luther “Bill” Hill, 91, of Wrens entered into rest on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Keysville Nursing Home.
Born to the late Emma Elizabeth Moore and James Roland Hill II in Riverview, Ala., Mr. Hill grew up in Atlanta. He was a man of various experiences and occupations in Atlanta, ran the trolley and drove a passenger bus; in Miami, worked at Hill Brothers Coffee as a buyer and blender; in Wrens, opened a coffee shop and later Hills BBQ. He retired in 1992. He was a member of Wrens Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at James Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Hill and Rev. J. Scott McKinney officiating. Interment followed in the Blythe UMC Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Roland Hill III; and his sister, Sarah Watkins.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Frances Phillips Hill; children, William Baxter Hill (Hilma) and Elaine H. Walden (Ray), all of Augusta; six grandchildren, Sheri Dill (Stacey), Dearing, William Timothy Hill (Joy), Graceville, Fla., Scott Walden (Jennifer), Savannah, Mark Walden (Jennifer), Augusta, Ryan Walden (Holly), Martinez, and Alicia Walden Jett (David), Richmond, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Brittany S. Norton (Kyle), Ian Sproat, Katelin Dill, Brandon Hill, Cody Hill, Emma Walden, Rachel Walden, Gracen Walden, Kate Walden, Talmadge Walden, Raleigh Walden and Tyler Jett; one great-great-grandson, Evan Norton; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Miss Paula Edwina Allen
Miss Paula Edwina Allen, 71, of Louisville entered into rest on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Glendale Nursing Home.
A native of McNeil, Miss., Miss Allen was a daughter of the late Edwin Curtis Allen and Anne Elizabeth Smith Allen. She was a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta as a medical records librarian. She worked many years as a medical records librarian in several leading hospitals. She then taught medical records librarian in the University of Missouri. Moving to Louisville in 1981, she worked for Jefferson Hospital in the medical records department. It was from there she retired. She was a member of Episcopal Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Louisville.
Graveside funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, in the Wrens City Cemetery, with Rev. David Davis officiating.
Survivors include her sister, Joy Cummings of Louisville; nephews, Timothy Cummings of Atlanta, and Stephen Cummings of Elizabeth, Tenn.; a niece, Dawn Wins of Wilmington, N.C.; great-nephew, Dr. Christopher Cummings; great-nieces, Stephanie Lionberger and Kim Wins.

Mrs. Edna Hildebrant “Princess” Newsome
Mrs. Edna Hildebrant “Princess” Newsome, 84, of Blythe entered into rest on Thursday June 3, 2010, at University Hospital.
Mrs. Newsome was born July 11, 1925, in Augusta, the daughter of the late Edna Mohrmann and Nicholas Hildebrant, she attended local schools and graduated from Tubman Girls School in 1942. She worked in her family’s grocery store, was involved with the Girl Scouts and the American Red Cross as a swim instructor, as an adult she attended nursing school and graduated from Barrett School of Nursing in 1961. She worked at local hospitals and retired from the V.A. Uptown Division in 1971. She resided in Blythe for 41 years.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Our Redemer Lutheran Church, Augusta. Interment was in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gibson, at 2:30 p.m.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Bridges; a son, Rodney Newsome Jr.; three sisters, Margurite Marschalk, Louise Bartling and Henrietta Averett; and three brothers, Louis, Billy and Henry.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Frank “Punk” Newsome; son, Larry (Marci) Newsome Sr. of Lyons; six grandchildren, Paige Newsome, Joe Newsome, Rodney F. Newsome, Ryan Newsome, Randy Cook Jr. and Jaime Scarce; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Julia (Ed) Bohlmann of Aiken, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Henry (Carlin) Scarber of Richwood, W.V.
