Mrs. Marie S. Williams
Mrs. Marie S. Williams, 96, of Louisville entered into rest on Thursday, July, 29, 2010, at her residence.
A native of Jefferson County, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Joseph Jefferson Sheppard and Fannie Walden Sheppard. After high school she took a business course and in 1935 married
George Franklin Williams Sr. She was a former member of Vidette Methodist Church, and for the last 32 years, was a member of Louisville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Williams served as a Pink Lady at Jefferson Hospital for 20 years and was a member of the Homemaker’s Club, United Methodist Women, the Barwick Sunday School class and Bible study groups.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Louisville United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Hibberts, Rev. Beau Taylor and Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial followed in Burke Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, George Franklin Williams Sr.; sister, Helen S. Thomas; brothers, Herbert Cleon “Cy” Sheppard, Rev. Harold Sheppard and Lamar “Fuzz” Sheppard; and daughter in-law, Mary Ann Williams.
Survivors include her son, George Franklin “Frank” Williams Jr., of Waynesboro; two daughters, Hilda Williams (Tony) Musgrove of Martinez, and Esther Williams (David) Boggs of Louisville; brother, J. Ferris “Tag” (Lois) Sheppard of Louisville; sister, Jewell “Judy” Tanner of Louisville; stepsister, Diane (Gary) Rhodes of Wrens; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Jeanette Thompson, Mary Fields, Keyla Thompson, Erica Cox and Mary Francis Thompson.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Lee Webster, Ken Webster, Barry Webster, Frank Williams III, Ford Williams, Hal McKinney and Michael McKinney.

Mrs. Mildred Bradley Seigler
Mrs. Mildred Bradley Seigler, 83, of Augusta entered into rest on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Seigler was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and was a member of St. Augustines Episcopal Church. She was named Woman of the Year of the Merry Weeders Garden Club, where she served as president and secretary. She was also a member of the Metropolitan Women’s Club, where she served in many offices, including president and as chairperson, of the Tallulah Falls School project.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Augustines Episcopal Church, Augusta, with Rev. Billy Alford and Father Neal Phelps officiating. Interment followed at Westover Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Bill” Seigler Sr.; daughter, Robin Lee Seigler; parents, Vandy and Ruth Raffini Bradley; and brother, Billy Bradley.
Survivors include her son, William Thomas “Thom” Seigler Jr. of Augusta; daughters, Angela Seigler of Augusta, and Norma S. Wallace of Wrens; granddaughter, Sarah S. Yates (Seth) of Atlanta; and sister, Ada B. Miller (Gerald L.) of Augusta.

Mrs. Shirley Ann Vickery, 63, of Waynesboro entered into rest on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Burke Medical Center.
Mrs. Vickery was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Richmond County. She attended First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at DeLoach-McKerly Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Ernest Gay; and mother, Vivian Earline Gay Barrow.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd O. Vickery Jr.; son, Floyd O. “Trey” Vickery III (Monika) of Sardis; daughter, Kim Vickery (Patrick) of Sardis; father, John Turner Barrow of Waynesboro; three brothers, John Barrow (Ollie) of Hephzibah, Larry Barrow of Wrens, and David Eugene Barrow of Wrens; and six grandchildren, Chris Vickery, Angel Vickery, T. J. Vickery, Jasmine Vickery, Callie Johnson and Adrian Johnson.

Mr. William R. Wilcher, 65, of Norwood entered into rest on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the McDuffie County Regional Medical Center in Thomson.
Services were held on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Mitchell, with Pastor Rev. Louis Neal as eulogist. Burial was in church cemetery.
Survivors include her three sisters, Pauline Baker of Mitchell, Rosa Mae Gibson of Augusta, and Josie Gatson of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Ollie WIlcher Jr. of Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Jeff Mitchell Wade Sr.
Mr. Jeff Mitchell Wade Sr., 45, of Thomson entered into rest on Friday, July 2, 2010.
Mr. Wade, son of the late Willie Wade and the late Louise Bell Wade, was born in Richmond County, but had lived in Thomson most of his life. He was a painter and a member of Living River Church of God in Blackshear.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2010, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. R.B. Gaskins officiating.

Mrs. Juanita Welmaker, 80, of Thomson entered into rest on Friday, June 18, 2010, at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Wellmaker was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She had attended the Thomson Church of God. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating. Burial was in Westview cemetery.

Mrs. Sharon Carstarphen Wilson of Lincolnton entered into rest on Saturday, June 13, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Mrs. Wilson was born on Aug. 29, 1967, in Richmond County. She was a native of Augusta, and was a respiratory therapist at Aiken Regional Hospital.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at 3 p.m. at 2034 Indian Road in Lincolnton.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Fontaine Reeves; and stepfather, Sam Reeves.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Wilson; daughters, Jacqueline Diane “Tad” Wilson and Ashley Burton; father and stepmother, Frank and Linda Carstarphen; sister, Charissa Carstarphen; aunts, Connie McLaney and Sandra Clarke; and two grandchildren.

Mr. James Williford, 72, of Stapleton entered into rest on Monday, June 18, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Williford was born in Glascock County, but lived many years in Princeton, Ind.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2010, at Stapleton Memorial Garden Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Defore officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Parrish and Ray Williford; and sister, Nora Williford.
Survivors include his three children, James Dale Williford (Bobbie) Princeton, Ind., David J. Williford (Glenna) Fort Myers, Fla., and Joni Marie Williford (Kedrick Duffey) Conyers; and seven grandchildren, Hanah, Todd Gentry, Zack, Turner, Hunter, Reagan and Sterling.

Mrs. Nora Perkins Wood
Mrs. Nora Perkins Wood, 90, of Parksville, S.C., entered into rest on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Wood was born in Matthews, and was a member of Parksville Baptist Church. She was the retired lunchroom manager for Plum Branch Elementary School.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Parksville Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. “Lovin” Wood.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Buck, Parksville, S.C.; and one sister, Mary Rhodes, Augusta.

Mr. Joseph Michael Waters
Mr. Joseph Michael Waters, 66, of Augusta entered into rest on Thursday, June 3, 2010.
A private memorial service will be held at the Dent Family cemetery in Columbia, S.C.
Mr. Waters was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 10, 1944, and graduated from Troy State University with a B.S. degree in business. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. He was an instructor helicopter pilot for 12 years in the Army and also served as a Major in the Army Reserves for five years. He spent two years in Viet Nam, flying rescue missions. He was shot down twice. Mr. Waters was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross, 24 air citations, and two Army Commendation awards. While in the Army he also obtained his commercial airplane license. He worked as a foundry foreman for Crucible Steel in Elizabethtown, Ky., from 1976-1977. From 1977-1983 he worked as supervisor of production control and was promoted to regional distribution manager of the Central Customer Service Center in Bardstown, Ky., for the Burroughs Corporation. In 1983-1987, Mr. Waters transferred to Tolland, Conn., to be Burroughs customer service manager for two printing plants and assumed additional duties as production and inventory manager. From 1987-1988 he was manager of production and inventory control for Brown Bovari in West Columbia, S.C. He also planned consolidation of plants and movement of materials. From 1989-1992, Mr. Waters was material supervisor and buyer for MRO items and raw materials in Columbia, S.C., for Ambac Corporation. From 1992-2009, he served as purchasing manager/assistant plant manager at Air Balance, Mestek, in Wrens. He was a member of the Viet Nam’s Helicopter Pilot Association, the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, the VFW, and the NRA.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dent Waters of Columbia, S.C.; daughter, Amber Waters Sobieraj of Charleston, S.C.; grandson, Andreas Michael Sobiaraj of Charleston, S.C.; son-in-law, Damian Andreas Sobieraj of Charleston, S.C.; brother, David Samuel Waters of Rehobath Beach, Del.; brother, Bruce Malcom Waters of Lancaster, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Margaret Hall Little
Mrs. Margaret Hall Little, 83, of Wadley entered into rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville.
Mrs. Little, a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and Wadley, was retired from Oxford Industries and sold Avon products for more than 39 years. She was a member of the Wadley Baptist Church, where she was a member and treasurer of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was a member of WMU.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Wadley Baptist Church, with Rev. Rusty Manning and Rev. Tom Harrison officiating. Interment followed in the Wadley Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit T. Little Sr.; parents, James Marcus and Thelma Hall; and a sister, Carolyn Hall Hutchin.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Jones (Randall), Martha Mays (Floyd) and Cecelia Dye (Bruce); son, Kermit Little Jr.; two brothers, James Marcus Hall III (Julia) and Don E. Hall (Glenda); a sister, Ann Hall Wilson (Jerry); six grandchildren, Rodney Mays (Leigh), Heather James (Bobby), Melisa Partridge (Jeff), Julie Anna Koch (Bryan), Kasey Maxwell (Kevin) and Brent Dye; seven great-grandsons, Bowden, Bryant, Carson, Grayson, Graham, Hudson and Riley; one great-granddaughter, Ella Kay.

Mr. Bobby Gene Waters, 55, of Sandersville entered into rest on Saturday, May 15, 2010.
Mr. Waters was a native of Washington County. He was a logger for Albert Brown Logging Company and a member of the Union Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, in the Brownwood cemetery in Sandersville.
Survivors include his children, Bobby Gene Waters Jr. of Sandersville, and Jeff Shane Waters of Stapleton; parents, Franklin Waters and Marie Waters of Sandersville; grandchildren, Tyler Waters, Triton Waters, Tiffany Waters, Price Waters and Paige Waters; sister, Teresa (Billy) Williford of Tennille; four brothers, Ronnie (Cheryl) Waters of Warthen, Buddy Waters of Tennille, Dean (Betty) Waters of Warthen, and Donnie Waters of Warthen.
