Mary Anne Hamby McAllister
Mary Ann Hamby McAllister, age 67, of Hampton, Georgia died June 30, 2007. She was born icon in Covington to the late Edward Lane Hamby and Gertrude George Hamby. She retired from the Henry County Probate Court and was a member of Community Bible Church. MaryAnne enjoyed gardening and most of all she loved her family and her Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda Butler of Locust Grove, Robyn McCurry of Hampton, Ryan McAllister of Hampton, Randy McAllister of Jackson; siblings, Jeanne Hardwick of Covington, Margaret Marechale of McDonough, Linda Martin of Sparta, Thomas Hamby of Covington, Mike Hamby of Stockbridge; and 9 grandchildren.

Regina E. Tanner
Regina E. Tanner, formerly Rodney E. Tanner, age 38, of Carmichael, California died June 15, 2007. Ms. Tanner was born icon in Atlanta, to the late William E. Tanner, Jr. and Peggie Craig Tanner. Regina was preceded in death by her daddy, Claude Grant; and little mama, Drusilla Craig.
She is survived by her mother, Peggie Tanner of Hampton; mama and stepfather, Delia G. and Michael Lance of Riverdale; brothers, Robby Tanner of Sunnyside, Ronald Tanner?of Spokane, Washington ; sisters, Roeshell M. Lillard of McDonough, Renee M. Bellew of Attalla, Alabama; and grandmother, Kathleen P. Lance of Riverdale.
Services were held June 21 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Charles Bellew officiating. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Bunn Brannan
Evelyn Bunn Brannan, age 88, of McDonough, Georgia died June 15, 2007. Mrs. Brannan was born icon in Henry County, the daughter of the late Andrew Parker and Myrtice Fields Floyd.She was a member of Flippen United Methodist Church, where she previously taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and family was most important in life to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. (Buck) Bunn; her husband, David A. Brannan; and her son, James Harold Bunn, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Andrew Carey (Paulette) Bunn, Sr. of Locust Grove, Lynda Bunn (David) Almand of McDonough; Alan Paul (Leanne) Bunn of Ellijay; David Carey (Jane) Brannan of Kennesaw; Donald A. Brannan of McDonough; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 18 at Flippen United Methodist Church, with Rev. Gary DeMore officiating. Interment Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Flippen United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3707 Jodeco Road, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Maude L. Tingle
Maude L. Tingle, age 92, of Jackson, Georgia died June 16, 2007. Mrs. Tingle was born icon in 1914 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of the late Roy L. and Eva Estelle Boling Moore. She worked for Rich’s in Atlanta for 15 years and then another 15 years for Atlanta Gas Light and was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Fue Tingle, Jr.; and sister, Annbelle Moore.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Lee Tingle of Locust Grove, Johnny and Shirley Tingle of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 19 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Beersheba Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Salvation Army, 1000 Center Place, Norcross, Georgia, 30093-1725 in memory of Mrs. Tingle. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Amanda Claudette Lankford
Amanda Claudette Lankford, age 70, of McDonough, Georgia died June 16, 2007. She was born icon in 1936 in Spalding County, the daughter of the late James and Alma Evans. She was of the Baptist faith; was retired after 32 years with the Keebler Company; and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her children, Danny and Kathy Lankford of Waleska, Randy and Susan Lankford of Griffin, Kristi and Donald Crawley of McDonough, Rodney Lankford of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Tony, Todd, Robbie, Matthew, Randi Leigh, Greg, John, Joshua, Jonathan Lankford, Amanda and John Blackerby, Nicole Crawley and Skylar Lankford; great-grandchildren, Madison Duvall, Gyana and Gadyn Lankford, Jacob, Joshua and Jonathan Lankford.
Services were held June 18 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Lankford officiating. Please make contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 934048, Atlanta, Georgia, 31193-4048 in memory of Ms. Lankford. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Homer Hobson Howard Jr.
Homer Hobson “Hop” Howard, Jr. age 80, of Hampton, Georgia died June 18, 2007. Mr. Howard was born icon in 1926 in Fulton County, the son of the late Homer Hobson Howard, Sr. and Lizzie Frances Rivers Howard. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hampton and was a 60 year member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge. Hop enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, spending times at the beach, sports and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise Echols Howard of Hampton; children, Bill and Cynthia Howard of Locust Grove, Deborah H. and Steve Williams of Hampton, Sandra H. and Kim Braswell of McDonough, Elaine H. and Mike Ridgway of Hampton; grandchildren, Michele Barfield, Michael Howard, Amanda Blake, Jim Williams, Andria Lamp, Blake Wallace, Kayla Wallace, Karen Daniel and Chad Ridgway; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Dan Howard of McDonough; nieces, Nancy Gallups and Danielle Stanford.
Services were held June 20 at Hampton First Baptist Church. Interment Berea Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice or American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Howard. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

W. J. Hooten
W.J. (Jay) Hooten, age 80, of McDonough, Georgia died June 17, 2007. Mr. Hooten was born icon in McDonough, the son of the late Fred Lee and Florie Bell Martin Hooten. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He retired from civil service at Fort Gillem in Forest Park with 35 plus years of dedicated service. A jack-of-all-trades, he enjoyed working with his hands. He was a strong family man who put others before himself. He was a simple man with simple needs and pleasures, and enjoyed helping others in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Verbie Jo Hooten; son, Mike Hooten; and daughter, Gayle Johnson, all of McDonough; grandson, Jeremy (Jessie) Johnson; and great-granddaughters, Ruby and Violet, all of Decatur; sisters, Sylvia Edge of Covington, Ethel Piper and Mary Sims, both of McDonough; brothers, Eddie Hooten of Rex, Bernard Hooten of McDonough; sister-in-law, Lilly Hooten of Riverdale; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 20 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Rick Statham officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Georgia, 30253. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Joseph T. Williams, IV
Joseph T. Williams, IV, age 16, of Stockbridge, Georgia died June 18, 2007. Joseph was born icon January 17, 1991 in Stockbridge. He was a member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church and an honor student at Eagles Landing High School where he received several academic awards and an honorable mention in the science fair. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing football. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to help others.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Cyndi; and sisters, Amanda and Rebecca, all of Stockbridge; grandparents, J.T. Williams of Stockbridge, Peggy Williams and C.A. and Mable Cooksey all of Tallahassee, Florida; aunts and uncles, Carol and Hank Cochran, Nancy and Mike Chavez, Kay and Scott Dick, Peggy and Mark Folmar, Mary Lu and Richard Winchester, Julie and Marcus Fountain, Mavis and Joey Clifford, Jacki and Judd West, David and Beverly Williams, Bert and Renee Williams; and 30 cousins.
Mass was held June 21 at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church, with Father John Murphy officiating. Interment Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Hendley Adrian Lunsford, Sr.
Hendley Adrian Lunsford, Sr. age 67, of McDonough, Georgia died June 7, 2007. Mr. Lunsford was born icon in Henry County, the son of the late Carlene Ruby Mitchell and Adrian Ellis Lunsford. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, he enjoyed his grandchildren and hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Fogg Lunsford; and son, Hendley A. Lunsford.
He is survived by his granddaughters, Heather and Crystal Lunsford of McDonough; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jenkins of McDonough; brothers, Ellis Lunsford of Loganville, Cartlon Lunsford of McDonough; sister, Ruby Lunsford of Eatonton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 9 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Andrew Reagan officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

George Edward Brown
George Edward Brown, age 73, of Locust Grove, Georgia died June 7, 2007. Mr. Brown was born icon in Jamaica, the son of the late Maudline Rose Lynch and Mahlon Edward Brown. Rev. Brown served as a pastor for 54 plus years, served as a missionary, and volunteered part-time as a dentist. He founded, chartered and was the principal of Triumphant Rehobeth Center. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and baking. He was preceded in death by siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Zellah Brown of Locust Grove; and sons, daughters and grandchildren.
Services were held June 16 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. David Yancey officiating. Interment Rose Garden Cemetery in McDonough. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
