Saundra Ellis Richbourg-Ashurst
Saundra Ellis Richbourg-Ashurst, age 68, of Stockbridge, Georgia died May 1, 2007. Mrs. Richbourg-Ashurst was born December 5, 1938, in Summerton, South Carolina, the daughter of the late J.B. and Dean Watkins Wieland Richbourg. She was a secretary for Forces Command, from which she retired in 1989, and was former owner of Elliott’s Florist in Columbia, South Carolina. She was former secretary for the president of Wheels Truing in Columbia, former secretary to the head of the United Methodist Conference Headquarters in Columbia, and attended high level conferences of the United Methodist Conference. She was an associate member of Anvil Block United Methodist Church in Ellenwood, where she served as historian, and was a member and former church historian forAndrews Chapel United Methodist Church near Silver, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Whetstone.
She is survived by her husband, Emory B. Ashurst of Stockbridge; son, Rusty Daniels of Sumter, South Carolina; stepson, James Ashurst of Columbia,
South Carolina; stepdaughters, Sharon Ashurst and Charlotte Goodie and her husband, Howard, all of Manassas, Virginia; brothers, Joseph P. “Billy” Richbourg and his wife, Sandra, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Charles P. “Butch” Wieland and his wife Paulette, of Great Falls, South Carolina; sister, Annette Martel and her husband, Andy, of Lincoln, California; grandchildren, Tiffany, Josh and Nicole; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 4 atAndrews Chapel United Methodist Church in South Carolina, with the Rev. Emily Allen officiating. IntermentAndrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made toAndrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Sara Coulliette, 15149 Panola Rd., Pinewood, South Carolina, 29125. Stephens Funeral Home and Crematory in Manning, South Carolina in charge of arrangements.

Richard Theodore Crumbley
Richard Theodore Crumbley, age 76, of McDonough, Georgia died May 14, 2007. Mr. Crumbley was born in Fulton County, the son of the late Matilda Stansell and William Raleigh Crumbley. He fought a good fight for many years with diabetes, lower body paralysis, and other related health problems. He always had a good attitude, and had very few complaints. He died of heart failure. He was a 1949 graduate of McDonough High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, was a member of Salem Baptist Church, and enjoyed camp meetings, his computer, camping, woodworking and electronics. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Carlton, Laverne and Murray Crumbley.
He is survived by his loving, caring wife of 49 years, Sylvia Austin Crumbley; sons, Mark D. Crumbley of Dallas, Texas , Brent A. Crumbley of McDonough; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nicole and Nolan Crumbley; sisters, Carolyn (John F.) Chastine, Louise (Blanton) Knight; brother, Dr. Gene (Norma) Crumbley and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 17 at Salem Baptist Church, with Rev. Dan McKay and Rev. Rick Statham officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Madeline Chirico
Madeline Chirico, age 17, of Stockbridge, Georgia died May 14, 2007. Madeline was born June 26, 1989 in Peru, Indiana. She was a member of St. James The Apostle Catholic Church and a senior at Dutchtown High School. She was an honor student and was active on the academic team, JROTC, the soccer team, Cross Country Team and numerous extracurricular activities. She enjoyed playing the guitar and going to movies with her friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, Stephen and Anne Chirico; brother, Stephen Dominick Chirico, Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Dominick E. and Joan M. Chirico, all of Stockbridge; maternal grandparents, George and Maureen Alig of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were held May 18 at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Andrew Santamauro officiating. Interment Springfield, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross and the American Kidney Association. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Doug Hill
Doug Hill, age 49, of Stockbridge, Georgia died May 14, 2007. Mr. Hill was a son, a brother, a father, a husband, family and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that loved him. There will never be another like him.
He is survived by his sons, William Devin Hill of McDonough, Skyler Chance Hill of Stockbridge, McKean Slater Hill of Stockbridge; wife, Marissa Lynn Bahr of Stockbridge; parents, Rosa and Bill Hill of Stockbridge; sister, Lynn Basadre and husband Kean Hamilton of Stockbridge; brothers, Joseph D. Hill and wife Kathy of Winder, Gregory S. Hill and wife Dianne of Stockbridge; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services were held May 17 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel, with Reverend Stan Jordan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up the Doug Hill Memorial Fund for his three sons, Devin, age 20, Skyler, 3, and McKean, 1 month. Funds may be remitted to North Henry Baptist Church, 1093 Flat Rock Road, Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281. Horis A. Ward Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn June Richards
Carolyn June Richards, died May 14, 2007. Born December 11, 1941 in Cannelton, Indiana, Mrs. Richards was the first born child to the late Chester and Sally Magdaline Garrett Powers. She attended and graduated high school in Cannelton, Indiana. She later married and moved to the Atlanta area where she became a devoted mother, and a cherished friend to many. She was a long time member of Pinecrest Baptist Church in McDonough for over 36 years, where she served faithfully in many capacities. She worked as a substitute teacher in area grade schools several years ago. She loved hummingbirds, her cats, and enjoyed sewing at home. The light of her life was raising her son who stands as her testament to the kind of person that she was, a loving, loyal, caring, sharing person who would give all she had if it would help someone. Carolyn retired from a job she enjoyed very much, Hancock Fabrics in Morrow.
She is survived by her husband, who cherishes her memory, Clarence; devoted son, Ethan and his wife Kelley; grandson, Ryan who was the apple of her eye; sister, Sharon and husband Keith Moseby of Evanston, Indiana; special brother, Gary Tuttle and his wife Glenda of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 18 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Roy Mack officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make donations to the Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.org. Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Guadalupe Sanchez-Castillo
Guadalupe Sanchez-Castillo, of Hampton, Georgia died May 8, 2007. Guadalupe was born on April 12, 2007 in Atlanta.
She is survived by her parents, Leticia Castillo Amezcua and Genaro Sanchez Lopez; sister, Mia Itzel Sanchez; and brothers, Rufino Sanchez and Luis Alfredo Sanchez, all of Hampton.
Services were held May 11 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Fr. Jose Duvan officiating. Interment Berea Cemetery. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Lewis Johnson
Joyce Lewis Johnson, age 59, of Locust Grove, Georgia died May 10. Mrs. Johnson was born in 1948 in Lowndes County. She enjoyed watching TV, especially game shows. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Rolston Johnson of Locust Grove; children, Dereck Johnson of South Carolina, Joey Johnson of Jackson; mother, Virginia Bowers of Cecil; grandchildren, Sophie and Chesney Johnson of Jackson; sister-in-law, Marie Margulis of Lawrenceville; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held May 12 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Mueller officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

William Thomas Harrison, Jr.
William Thomas Harrison, Jr., age 78, of McDonough, Georgia died May 10, 2007. Mr. Harrison was born in Fulton County, the son of the late Delma Mallory DeLoache and William Thomas Harrison, Sr. He was a member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church, and he served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Stowe Associates as an Insurance Broker with 27 plus years. He had been a member of the McDonough Lions Club, he enjoyed fishing and reading. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert DeLoache; and a daughter-in-law, Corky Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Rowland Harrison of McDonough; children, Ben Harrison of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Scott and Leigh Harrison of Stockbridge, Nan and Scott Mink of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Bryan Mink, Joey
Petrides, Clint and Will, Jake and Sally Harrison, Sam Mink; cousins, Nancy and Ray Stone of Hampton.
Services were held May 14 at Timberridge Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Matt Allison officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Timberridge Presbyterian Church, 2704 Conyers Rd., McDonough, Georgia, 30252. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Arthur John Barreiro,
Arthur John “Pete” Barreiro, Jr, age 42, formerly of Stockbridge, Georgia died May 12, 2007. Mr. Barreiro was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of the late Arthur John and Irene Barreiro. He lived every day to its fullest. He was a hard-working, giving person who brought great spirit, energy and humor to everyone he met and everything he did. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Most importantly, he was a devoted father to his precious Abby and Little Pete.
He is survived by his son, Peter Nicholas Barreiro; daughter, Abigale Jolie Barreiro; and former wife, Mary Mitchell Barreiro, all of Stockbridge; brother, Edward G. Hampson of Tucker; sisters, Elaine Hampson LeLaurin and Susan Hampson Smith, both of West Hartford, Connecticut, Lisa Barreiro Gonzalez of Caracas, Venezuela; and several nieces and nephews all of whom cherish the love and time they shared with Uncle Pete.
A private memorial service will be held. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Lewis Banks
Raymond Lewis “Uncle Bubba” Banks, age 64, of Locust Grove, Georgia died May 11, 2007. Mr. Banks was born in Fulton County, the son of the late Gertrude Burns and Johnny Lewis Banks. He attended Locust Grove Baptist Church, and he enjoyed fishing, singing and golf. He was preceded in death by siblings, Sandra Marlene Green and Marsha Jean Green.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Banks of Locust Grove; children, Alecia Gaines of Kansas, Raymond Lewis Banks, Jr. of Texas ; grandchildren, Zachary, Timmy and Elijah; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Tommy Higgins of Cummings; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 15 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Bowers officiating. Interment Locust Grove Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
