Mr. Jimmy Paschall of Louisville died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003.
The funeral was Feb. 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. King Mack officiating. Burial was in Sugar Hill cemetery in Wrens.
Survivors include one son, Hakeem Paschall, Fla.; and siblings, Mary Paschall, Louisville, Sherri Hilson, Jacksonville, Fla., Ruby Neal and Albert Paschall, both of Augusta and Robert Brown of Wrens.
Willis Hollis Williford
Mr. Willis Hollis Williford of Augusta died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003.
Mr. Williford was born in Gibson. He had worked as an insulation journeyman with local #92 Asbestos Workers since 1960. He was a member of Fleming Baptist church, a navy veteran of six years and a member of the John Davison Masonic Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons.
The funeral was Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at Poteet Funeral Home South Chapel with the Revs. Larry Harmon and Bill Atkins officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Kennedy Williford; a son, Curtis (Sherry) Williford, Augusta; one daughter, Rosalind (David) Albright, McDonough; mother-in-law, Lucille Perry, Augusta; sister-in-law, Mary (Lonnie) Kuehl; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Kuehl, Lee Kuehl, Keith Kuehl, Victor Lowe, Chris Howard and Don Pullum.

Nancy Davis Fleming
Mrs. Nancy Davis Fleming, 88, of Louisville died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Jefferson Hospital.
Mrs. Fleming, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Jones Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board for many years. She was also a member of the Lone Star Society.
The funeral was March 2 at 1 p.m. at Jones Grove Baptist Church and cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Parrish officiating.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Fann, Augusta, Margaret and Rev. Willie Lawson, Milwaukee, Wis., Hattie and Rev. Cecil Parrish, Nashville, Tenn., Judy (Arthur) McClinton and Ben Davis Jr., Orlando, Fla., and Charlie (Jackie) Davis, Wadley.

Mary Kitchings Brady
Mrs. Mary Kitchings Brady, 82, of Thomson died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.
Mrs. Brady, a native of Bullock County, lived in Wadley following her marriage in 1941. She was a member of Wadley First Methodist Church and the Easter Stars and served two terms as Wrothy Matron. She was president of the PTA for two years and served on the remodeling committee of the church parsonage and building committee of the church. While in Thomson she was a member of the First Methodist Church and the J.O.Y. Sunday School class. She was a licensed beautician and operated Thomson Beauty Shop since 1956. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Eugenia Marsh Kitchings and John Buneon Kitchings of Statesboro, and her husband, James Eads Brady "Toad".
The funeral was Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at Thomson First Methodist Church. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Pat Shannon, Dr. George Freeman and the Rev. Jon Nelms officiating.
Survivors include a daughter, Joye Brady (Jerry) Baker, Watkinsville; a son, James Eads (Suzanne) Brady Jr., Fairfax, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Nan Nelms, Bartow; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews in Georgia, Florida and SC.
Pallbearers were Robby Fullerton, Jay Harris, Scott Tonneson, Billy Kitchings, Tommy Newton, Jon Nelms, Ben Nelms and Lannis Kitchings.

James Hollis Cooper
Mr. James Hollis Cooper, 64, of Louisville died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003.
Mr. Cooper served and retired after 47 years with the National Guard. He was a member of the Young Farmers and also volunteered his time with the Active Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
The funeral was March 1 at 11 a.m. at Old Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Thigpen officiating. Burial was at the Parker Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cooper, Louisville; one daughter, Jill and Mitchell Powell, Aiken; one son, Jim and Ali Cooper, Bartow; one stepdaughter, Karyn and Terry Young, North Augusta; two stepsons, Clay and Selena Grace, Bartow, and Robbie and Theresa Grace, Avera; two brothers, William "Billy Cooper, Bartow, and Larry Cooper, Louisville; seven grandchildren, Carson James Cooper, Haley and Hannah Grace, Jesse and Cassidy Grace and Gunner and Ryker Young.

Mrs. Jewel Perdue Usry, 98, of Albany died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Usry, a native of Jefferson County, lived in Albany for 11 years where she attended Avalon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She was a graduate of Wrens High School.
The funeral was Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. at Avalon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dale Thornton officiating. Burial was in the Stapleton Baptist Church cemetery at 4 p.m.
Survivors include a son, John K. Usry, Augusta; a granddaughter, Jill Usry Boyd, Albany; two great-grandchildren, Meghan Jewel Boyd and Evan Michael Boyd, Albany, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thomas "Speedball" Lewis Evans, 61, of Wrens died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at his residence.
Mr. Evans was employed at Deerfield Specialty Paper Company for 29 years.
The funeral was Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at Wrens United Methodist Church with the Revs. Roy White and Russell Davis and Dr. James Ford officiating. Burial was in the Wrens City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Harriett "Jerry" Lamb Evans; one son, Harry Lamb and Michelle Evans, Wrens; his father, James Melvin Evans Sr., Wrens; two brothers, James Melvin and Marion Evans Jr., Matthews, and William Bob and Tina Evans, New Port News, Va.; one sister, Ann Evans and Gene Arrington, Wrens; one grandchild, Rabun Thomas Evans, Wrens; sister-in-law, Sydney Lamb McGahee and brother-in-law Maurice McGahee, Wrens; and several nieces and nephews.

Bernice Marie (Punkin) Robinson
Mrs. Bernice Marie (Punkin) Robinson of Wrens died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003.
The funeral was March 2 at 3 p.m. at Thompson Springhill AME Church in Matthews with the Rev. Charlie Myrick officiating. Burial was in the New Zion cemetery in Wrens.
Survivors include her husband, C.W. Robinson; one son, Eric Patterson, Wrens; three daughters, Penny Mathis and Tammy Daniels, both of Wrens and Shun Robinson, Augusta; four step-children, Regina, Christin and Herbert Robinson, all of Ohio, and Deborah Farmer, Wrens; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren and one sister, Annie Pearl Bland, Augusta, and other relatives.

Katherine Eason Dailey
Mrs. Katherine Eason Dailey, 71, of Clinton, SC, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Dailey, a native of Jefferson County, was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Lillie Stanley Eason of Keysville. She was a 1948 graduate of Hephzibah High School, attended Berry College and was co-owner of Dailey's Nursery. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Administrative Board and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a former chairman of the Laurens County Farm Bureau Women's Committee and a former Poll Manager with Laurens County Elections Commission. She was also an instructor of cake decorating at the University of South Carolina in Laurens.
Graveside services were held March 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Rosemont cemetery in Clinton by the Rev. Charlie Short of St. James United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Leonard Francis (Frank) Dailey Sr.; two sons, Thomas P. and Sheila Owen Dailey and Len F. and Deborah Lanford Dailey, Clinton; one brother, Thomas Stanley Eason, Martinez; two sisters, Lois E. Woodcock, Martinez, and Frances E. Gunn, Keysville; three grandsons, Leonard Parker and Kimberly Larue Dailey, Andrew McAlister Dailey, Jonathon Eason Dailey, and their mother, Beth McAlister Dailey; two granddaughters, Sarah Lee Dailey and Anna Alane Dailey, all of Clinton; three aunts and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Adell Avery of Wrens died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2002.
Mrs. Avery, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Lofton AME Church.

Mrs. Ruby S. Poole, 93, of Matthews died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2002.
Mrs. Pool, a native of McDuffie County, was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and a homemaker.
The funeral was Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Ford and the Rev. Randall Whitaker officiating. Burial was in Powell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnnie F. Padgett Sr.
Mr. Johnnie F. Padgett Sr., 75, of Avera died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003.
Mr. Padgett, a native of Jefferson County, was an Army veteran of WWII where he served as a military policeman and received a victory medal and an occupation medal. He was retired from Thermo King Corp. where he worked in maintenance as an electrician. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
The funeral was March 2 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Lumpkin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Malene Story Padgett; three sons, Johnny F. and Sherry Padgett Jr., Avera, David Wayne and Marsha Padgett Sr., Gibson, and Charles M. and Sue Padgett Sr., Avera; one brother, Lanier and Glenda Padgett, Avera; one sister, Ogle Aiken, Gibson; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
