Ms. Dianna Wilson, 47, of Augusta died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Medical College of Georgia.
The funeral was May 15 at 3 p.m. at Lofton AME Church with the Rev. Bobby Hanerson officiating. Burial was in Lofton AME Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Dorothy Mae Carswell and James Foley Wilson Sr., both of Augusta; a brother, James Foley (Michelle) Wilson Jr., Miami Fla.; two daughters, Shaneisha (Jerald) Hobbs and Shavondrea Harris, Augusta; four grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

Aubrey C. Williams
Mr. Aubrey C. Williams, 95, of Avera died Friday, May 14, 2004.
Mr. Williams was a 1930 graduate of the first class that graduated from Avera High School. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seth S. Williams; a brother, Mr. Lamar S. Williams Sr.; and two wives, Mrs. Leslie Reese Williams and Mrs. Lucille Corley Williams.
Graveside services were May 16 at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Donald Lumpkin officiating.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia W. Rooks, Edna W. Norris, Augusta; a special sister-in-law, Alma Williams, Avera; one nephew and several nieces.

Emory Joseph "Bull" Williams
Mr. Emory Joseph "Bull" Williams, 79, of Waynesboro died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Williams was born in Jefferson County and spend 51 years in Burke County. He was a retired heavy equipment contractor. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro and of the Brinson-Coleman Sunday School class. He was a former member of the Burke County Democratic Committee.
The funeral was May 8 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, with Dr. David Carter and the Rev. Henry Erwin officiating. Burial was in Burke Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Bates Williams; a daughter Monica Williams (Michael) Mahoney, Martinez; a son, Joseph B. "Jody" Williams, Waynesboro; three sisters, Myrtis W. Thigpen, Greenwood, SC, Cleo W. Grissett, Gibson, and Emolyn W. Norton, Brandon, Ms.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ray Brown, Frank Griffin, Ernest Johnson, Porter Cohen, Lon Hankerson, Bob Bolton, Preston Lewis Jr. and Luther Robinson.

Byron Bert Lewis Jr.
Mr. Byron Bert Lewis Jr., 73, of Louisville died Thursday, May 13, 2004.
Mr. Lewis was born in Richmond County, the son of the late Byron Bert Lewis and Elizabeth Rowland Bethea. He was a salesman for Fulghum Industries, a Methodist and had served in the United States Air Force.
Graveside services were May 16 at 2 p.m. at the Louisville City cemetery with the Revs. Pat Mahan and Ed Dean officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Bunn Lewis; a son, Ron Lewis, Pembroke; two daughters, Mrs. Penny McNeely, Louisville, and Mrs. Kathy Rushing, Brooklet; and four grandchildren, Samuel and Anna McNeely and Haley and Matt Rushing.
Memorials may be made to the A.L.S. Foundation or to the Louisville United Methodist Church.

John Herman "J.H." Thompson
Mr. John Herman "J.H." Thompson, 72, of Warrenton died Tuesday, May 4, 2004.
Mr. Thompson was a lifelong resident of Warren County. He was the owner and operator of Thompson Brothers Dairy for 29 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of Little Briar Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral was May 6 at 2 p.m. at Little Briar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Kennedy Thompson; a son, Gary M. and Melinda Thompson; a daughter, Vickie T. and John Dunham; a brother, Alton Thompson; and three grandchildren, Jason Dunham, Jonathan Dunham and Hannah Thompson.

Mrs. Margaret Hall Gibbons of Louisville died Monday, May 3, 2004, at University Hospital.
Mrs. Gibbons, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church where she serve as an usher for many years and was with the Ushers Union.
The funeral was May 8 at 11 a.m. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church cemetery with the Revs. Fredrick Ricks, Connie Allen, Abraham Gibbons, Charlie Reese and Alexander Ingram officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Robert Ashley Stavely
Mr. Robert Ashley Stavely, 72, of Louisville died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Stavely was born in Washington County to the late Willie Riley and Ethel Cooper Stavely. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a retired business owner.
A memorial service was held May 10 at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Montgomery and Steve Kenner officiating. Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Cobb Stavely, Louisville; one son, Tony and Angela Stavely, Louisville, two daughters, Pam Blount and Debra and Don Evans, all of Louisville; two step-brothers, L.A. Ms. Willie Mae Givens, 90, of Keysville died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Keysville Nursing Home.
Ms. Givens, a native of Burke County, was a member of Keys Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Maggie Roundtree, Millen, and Lillie Beth Owens, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Oscar Jenkins, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Miss Connie Moore, 80, of Wadley died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at Glendale Nursing Home.
Miss Moore, a native of Emanuel County, was a homemaker.
Graveside services were May 6 at 2 p.m. at Wadley cemetery with the Rev. Louis Pearce officiating.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Albert Harold Wren
Mr. Albert Harold Wren, 80, of Gibson died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center in Thomson.
Mr. Wren, a native of Glascock County, was the son of Honorable Charlie Ross Wren, a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, and Gertrude Hadden Wren of Gibson. He was a 1941 graduate of Warrenton High School and graduated from Georgia-Alabama Business College of Macon. He was employed by Buckeye Cotton Oil Company in Augusta prior to service in the Army. He was a veteran of World War II and served in Patton's Third Army, 4th Armored Division and was a participant in the famous Battle of the Bulge. At the death of his father, he moved back to Gibson to operate the family farm. He was a farmer and cattleman since 1949.
He was a member of the Iron Hill Advent Christian Church of Dearing for a number of years where he served as Deacon and Treasurer. He attended Warrenton First United Methodist Church and was a member and former President of the Sarah G. Clary Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau, American Legion Post No. 96 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Thomson. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Agnes Wren Lankster and brother Charlie Roswald Wren.
The funeral was May 11 at 2 p.m. at Warrenton First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ted Miller and Gary Hadden officiating. Burial was in Johnson cemetery in Warrenton.
Survivors include his wife, Calene Rahn Wren; a son, Donald Ross and Rhonda Wren, Gibson; five grandchildren, Johna Wilkes, Columbia, SC, Tara Wilkes Smith, Macon, Jay Wilkes, Athens, Tara Searcy, Gibson and Travis Braswell, Thomson; and three great-grandchildren.
