Tommie Scott Bray
Mrs. Tommie Scott Bray of Martinez died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006.
Mrs. Bray, a native of Swainsboro, was the daughter of the late Aubrey E. Scott and Pearl Brown Scott. She grew up in Wadley and was a graduate of Wadley High School and of Bolens Business School in Augusta. She retired from Georgia Regional Hospital in Augusta where she worked in the Education Department. She was previously employed at the Georgia Retardation Center in Atlanta. She was a member of Trinity On-The-Hill United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Adult Couples and Singles Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the University Hospital Volunteer Board.
The funeral was Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church with Dr. Steve Dodson and the Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Burial was at Westover Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Donald C. Bray; her sons, Christopher D. Bray, Charleston, SC, Joel S. Bray, Swainsboro, Marshall T. Bray, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Larry D. Bray, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; her brother, Aubrey E. Scott Jr., Martinez; her mother-in-law, Inez M. Bray, Martinez; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her sons, grandchildren and brother.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Couples and Singles School Class.

Julia Bell Rachels Pollette
Mrs. Julia Bell Rachels Pollette, 89, died Sept. 24, 2006, at Jefferson Hospital.
Mrs. Pollett was a native and lifelong resident of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and worked at Wadley Shirt Factory. She was a member of Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Pollette.
The funeral was Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Garren officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Ashley Pollette, Sneads, Fla., and Roy (Gwen) Pollette, Colorado Springs, Co.; and two daughters, Amy P. Salter, Sandersville, and Brenda P. (Wayne) Scott, Piscataway, NJ.
Pallbearers were David Pollette, Tim Pollette, Roger Holbrook, Clay Holbrook, Cliff Jones and Richie Hutchinson.

John Martin Lamb
Mr. John Martin Lamb, 72, of Davisboro died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Lamb, a native of Jefferson County, was the son of the late C.B. Lamb Sr. and the late Mae Lampp Lamb. He was retired from Georgia Kaolin Company and a member of the Davisboro Baptist Church where he served as a church deacon. He was a former City Councilman of the City of Davisboro and a member of the AIC retiree club.
A memorial service was held Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Davisboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraline Amerson Lamb; his son Larry Lamb and grandson John C. Lamb, Davisboro; and his brothers, Tom William Lamb, Wrens, and Frank Lamb, Louisville.

Ronnie Eugene Graham
Mr. Ronnie Eugene Graham, 53, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Graham was the son of the late Viola Gilmore and William Harvey Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Snow; one son, William Wilburn Graham, Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter, April Dawn Snow; six brothers, Glen Harvey Graham, Harold Graham, Larry Graham, Tom Graham, David Graham, and Fred Graham; three sisters, Barbara Porter, Debra Kaye McWaters, Diane Critchlow; two sisters-and brothers-in-law, Marcie and David Freed, and Kathy and Donnie Smith, Stapleton; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert O. Bickham
Dr. Robert O. Bickham, DVM, 77, of Sandersville died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Dr. Bickham, a longtime resident of Washington County, was a veterinarian and was active in several civic organizations in the county. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna "Billie" Lowry Bickham.
The funeral was Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Sandersville with the Revs. Marlon Lastinger and Lee Lacey officiating. Burial was in the Brownwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Mimi B. (Roger) Kicklighter, Sandersville, Robert O. (Julie) Bickham Jr., Rock Hill, S.C., Kelli B. Charlie Durden
Mr. Charlie Durden of Wadley died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006.
The funeral was Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Solomon Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Baker officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Brown (Barrett) Jackson, Hinesville, and Melissa Frazier and Sandra Frazier, Swainsboro; two sisters, Josie Durden, Wadley, and Lillie Durden, Petersburg, Va.; one brother, Jerome Jordan, Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Ira B. Faglier
Rev. Ira B. Faglier, 86, of Buford died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Rev. Faglier, a native of Jefferson County, lived in Buford for the past 43 years. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II where he served as Chaplain Assistant. During his many years of ministry, Rev. Faglier served as pastor to churches in Nashville, Asburn, Dearing, Leslie and Americus. While earning his degree from Mercer University, he was pastor to two churches in Macon. He retired from fulltime ministery after 21 years at First Baptist Church, Buford, where he served as Pastor Emeritus.
The funeral was Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Buford with the Rev. Charles W. Gilliland officiating. Burial was in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford.
Survivors include his wife, Ogle V. Faglier; his son, Keith B. Faglier, Marietta, Milton E. and Pat Faglier, Stockbridge, and L. Wayne and Margie Faglier, Athens; a daughter, Marsha and Todd Mathews, Sugar Hill; seven grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Claude and Mary Francis Faglier, Augusta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zora Mae Fair
Mrs. Zora Mae Fair, 81, of Macon died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Portsbridge Hospice Facility.
Mrs. Fair, a native of Jefferson County, was the daughter of the late Zade and Latha Rachels. She was a 1942 graduate of Bartow High School. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where she was WMU Director for many years and a member of Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. She later joined Victory Baptist Church, Fort Valley. She was an active member of the Rachels Girls First Cousin Red Hat Society. She was retired from McKesson and Robbins and had worked at Burlington Coat Factory. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Fair; her son, Ronnie Fair; her son-in-law, Bobby Mitchell; and her sister, Sara Jones.
The funeral was Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with the Revs. Len Woodard and Chet Cooper officiating. Burial was in Macon Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula and H.T. Short, Byron; sons, Ricky and Jane Fair and Randy and Connie Fair, Byron, and Reggie Fair, Indiana; her brothers, Alva and Mary Rachels, Rutledge, and Verlon and Dot Rachels, Meansville; her sisters, Alma and Pat Walker, Conyers, Jenny Merritt, Forsyth, Ellie and Carroll Chambers, Monroe, and Glenda Bond, Bolingbroke; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Rhodina Morgan Gamble
Mrs. Rhodina Morgan Gamble, 87, of Louisville died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006.
Mrs. Gamble, a native of Jefferson County, was the widow of the late Clarence Gamble and a member of the New Fleming Baptist Church.
The funeral was Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Ebenezer CME Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Eve R. Guy, 81, of Thomson died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Guy, a native of Glascock County, had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is preceded in death by a son, Roger W. Guy.
The funeral was Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Dunaway officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Barbara Peeples of Fayetteville died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006.

Mr. Walter “Pop” Smith Sr. of Louisville died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at the Medical College of Georgia.
Mr. Smith was a native of Jefferson County, a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, the Spring Bethel Benevolent Society and retired in 1989 from Union Camp as a truck driver after over 20 years.
The funeral was Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home Chapel and Spring Bethel Society Cemetery.

Mr. Roy “R.W.” Thigpen, 82, of Gibson died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Thigpen, a native of Glascock County, was a member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was retired from Borden Dairy. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Byrd Thipgen.
The funeral was Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Parrish officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Benny W.
