Mr. Al Tennyson, 54, of Augusta died Tuesday, March 7, 2006.
Mr. Tennyon, a native of Jefferson County, lived in Richmond County for several years. He was a member of St. Matthew AME Church. He received his education in the Jefferson County School system.
The funeral was March 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew AME Church in Louisville with the Rev. David Walker officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Scott Tennyson; children, Londya Carr and Demean Tennyson, Louisville, Alandrea Dorsey, Christopher Tennyson and Dexter Tennyson, Augusta; sisters, Sadie Sanders, N.J., Mamie Johnson, Augusta, Sara Holmes, Savannah, Joann McNeil, Atlanta, and Deloris Tennyson Holmes, St. Augustine; brothers, Tom Tennyson, Louisville, Lester Tennyson, Fla., Willie Tennyson, Isaac Holmes, Bobby Tennyson and Jerry Tennyson, Augusta, and Jerry Holmes, Augusta; mother-in-law, Cleophia Shaw, Louisville; 17 grandchildren; seven brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and several other relatives.

Booker T. Walker
Mr. Booker T. Walker of Louisville died Monday, March 6, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
Mr. Walker, a life-long resident of Jefferson County, was a member of Spring Bethel AME Church. He served as a class leader, a member of the trustee board, finance committee, senior choir, Family for Christ Gospel Group, Spring Bethel Benevolent Society and was a member of the NAACP. He was a 1961 graduate of Jefferson County Training School.
The funeral was March 11 at 3 p.m. at Spring Bethel AME Church with the Revs. Minnie Davis and David Walker officiating.
Survivors include his children, Patricia A. Thomas, Kunsan Air Force Base, Korea, Booker T. (Barbara) Walker Jr., Atlanta, Anton A. (KeKe) Walker, Augusta, and Calvin (Karen) Little, Wrens; a sister, Berthan Jordan, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and several other relatives.
Active pallbearers were Jefferson County Training School Class of 1961.
Honorary pallbearers were Stewards and Trustees of Spring Bethel AME Church.

Lettie S. Waller
Mrs. Lettie S. Waller, 69, of Augusta died Saturday, March 18, 2006.
Mrs. Waller was retired from Southern Bell with 30 years of service. She was a member of Fleming Baptist Church for 40 years and the Ruth Bible Sunday School Class, a former W.M.U. Director and Sunday school teacher.
The funeral was March 21 at 2 p.m. at Fleming Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Atkins, William T. Hammond and Joe Connor officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Jack L. Waller Sr.; her son, Jack L. Waller Jr., Martinez; daughter, Faye W. and Kenneth "Buster" Davis, Evans; sisters, Mildred Sheppard, Louisville, and Frances Dame, Danville; brothers, Charles H. Smith, Keystone Heights, Fla., Talmadge F. Smith, Kite, and Ernest C. Smith, Louisville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Cecil D. "Buck" Clark
Mr. Cecil D. "Buck" Clark of Augusta died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006,
He was born in Avera, but has been a lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a retired pipefitter with Local Union #150. He was a member of Lakemont Presbyterian Church in Augusta. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served his country during World War II. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Clark was the husband of the late Fannie Mae Fulmer Clark and son of the late Oscar James Clark and the late Rosa Covington Clark.
The funeral service was conducted Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Jagoditsch and Rev. Lester Clark officiating. The interment followed in the Graniteville Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Billy Beasley, Jr., Jimmie Beasley, Arthur Soares, Artie Soares, Jr., Michael LaFontaine, Dwayne Allen Whitaker, Jr., Rory LaFontaine and Richard LaFontaine.
The honorary pallbearers were members of Local Union #150.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Brenda Mitchell.
Survivors include two sisters, Myrtice Hillborne of Wildwood, Fla., and Janie E. Hawes of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, Ray C. Mr. Willie James "Boo Boo" Huff, age 39, of Thomson, died recently

Ms. Cassandra McKennie of Dublin died on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, in Dublin.

Roy Eugene Eskew
Mr. Roy Eugene Eskew, 73, of Waynesboro, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at Burke Medical Center in Waynesboro.
Mr. Eskew was born in Washington County on March 14, 1932, to the late Rufus Carry and Louise Guinn Eskew. He was a farmer and a Baptist.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the chapel of DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating.
Burial followed at Parkers Methodist Church cemetery in Bartow.
Pallbearers were Mike Hood, Bobby Posey, Willie Mack, Robert Chance, Charles Eskew and Michael Eskew.
Mr. Eskew was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Carlton Eskew.
Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Davis (Billy), Savannah; three brothers, Charles Eskew (Jackie), Fred Eskew (Sheila) and Julian Eskew (Shirley), all of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Glenn Hyman
Mr. Glenn Hyman, of Norwood, entered into rest Jan. 25, 2006, at University Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ruth May Hyman and the late Susie Hyman. Mr. Hyman was a lifelong resident of Warren County and the son of the late Samuel Thomas Hyman and the late Janie Reese Hyman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and received a European-African Service Medal with a Bronze Star for his service. Mr. Hyman also retired from civil service as a carpenter, was the Cattleman of the Year for 2004, a member of the Reese-Hyman American Legion, the VFW Post #7778, a member of New Providence Baptist Church where heserved as a deacon for over 40 years.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Crawford officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Reese-Hyman American Legion and VFW Post #7778 .
Mr. Hyman was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Edge, and a grandson, Brian Thomas Hyman.

Mr. William Lewis Paul, 36, of Wadley, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Paul was born in Richmond County, but had lived in Wadley most of his life. He was member of Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 3 p.m. at Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. Ray Garren officiating.

Mr. Kenneth Hudson of Hephzibah, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Doctors Hospital.
Mr. Hudson, a native of Warren County, was employed as a truck driver with ASI. He was a member of Word Alive Outreach Ministries.

He was a native of Jefferson County, a graduate of Georgia School for the Deaf, a member of the Deaf Council of Georgia, an employee of the V.A. Medical Center and a member of the Beulah Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olive Baptist Church cemetery in Louisville.

Mr. Joseph "Joe" Watts, 28, of Hephzibah died on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006.
Mr. Watts was born in Augusta to Terry and Shirley Simpson Watts and was owner-operator of Custom Maid Janitorial Services. He was of the Baptist faith.
Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hatcher, Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Billy Atkins officiating. Burial will be at later date.
