Dewitt Franklin Rachels, Sr., 61, of Coxville Road, Thomson, Georgia entered into rest Tuesday, December 26, 2006 in Augusta, Georgia.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29 at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton with the Rev. Paul Reviere officiating.

Mr. Rachels was born in Aiken, South Carolina and he was a member of Raysville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Linda Rachels; a son, Dewitt Franklin (Frankie) Rachels, Jr. and wife, Linda; a daughter, Debra Denice Johnson and husband, David; grandchildren, Christina Kenzel, Skylar R. Johnson, and Savannah Rachels; and a great-grandchild, Jenna Kenzel.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Frank Dempsey Guillebeau, MD

Frank Dempsey Guillebeau, MD, 77, a beloved Albany, Georgia physician, died of complications of cancer on January 9, 2007. His funeral service were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 11 at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William D. "Biff" Coker and Rev. Timothy Olds officiating.

Lena Reese Cliatt

Mrs. Lena Reese Cliatt, 86, wife of the late John Thomas Cliatt, Sr., formerly of Double Branches Road, entered into rest on Friday, January 12, 2007 at South Hampton Nursing Home, Huntsville, Ala. Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 15, at Double Branches Baptist Church

Robert Terhune

Mr. Robert Joyce Terhune, 83, entered into rest Saturday, January, 20, 2007. The son of the late Henry Martin and Maggie (Talbot) Terhune, he was born October 27, 1923 in Liberal, Missouri. Mr. Terhune was a World War II veteran and retired employee of Pet Milk Dairies of Washington, Ga.

Elizabeth H. Waters

Mrs. Elizabeth H. Waters, 79, of Hidden Harbor Road, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Rosa Mary Hawes

Rosa Mary Hawes, 64, entered into rest on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at MCG in Augusta.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 25 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Jackson Parks officiating. Interment followed in Prices Grove Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hawes was born in Lincoln County October 20, 1942 to Lillian Murray and the late Jessie J. Freeman. She was a member of Prices Grove Baptist Church and a member of the usher board.

She was preceded in death by her husband, JB Hawes.

Survivors include two sons, Mitchell (Polly) Hawes and Weems I. Hawes, all of Lincolnton; her mother, Lillian Murray of Lincolnton; three sisters, Willie M. Parks, Alma (Stanley) Key and Annie Anthony, all of Lincolnton; three brothers, Ervin (Lula) Murray and Charlie (Syvaleen) Murray, both of Lincolnton, and Douglas (Mary) Murray of McCormick, S.C.; an aunt, Annie Mae Mims of McCormick; an uncle, Otis (Mary) Davis of Tignall, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Pearlean McCord of Lincolnton; a brother-in-law, Terry Hawes of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Deacon Joseph Brown, Tryson Hawes, Ricky Hunter, Greg Murray, Benjamin Parks, Jr., and Albert Tennant, Jr.

Wright & Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jennifer T. Mims

Mrs. Jennifer Lyn Tootle Mims, 54, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 30, 2007 after a sudden illness, in Athens, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment followed at 4 p.m. in Mrs. Mims' hometown of Glennville, Ga. in the Glennville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mims was born February 17, 1952 in Reidsville, Ga. She graduated from Glennville High School in 1970. She received her B.S. Degree from Georgia Southern in 1973, her Masters of Education from Augusta College and her Specialist in Education from University of Georgia. She began teaching in Lincoln County School System in 1973 and taught there until 1997. After moving to Hoschton, she continued her career at Ft. Daniel Elementary School in Dacula. She was a teacher there until 2002 and then became an assistant principal. She was the Teacher of the Year for Ft. Daniel and one of the six finalist for Gwinnett Public Schools in 2001-02. She retired in 2005 but continued to work part-time at the school. She was an advocate for children all of her career and was highly regarded as an expert about the developmental needs of children. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Lincolnton. Jennifer will be remembered for her love for her family, children, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Delaney Tootle.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Paul Mims; two daughters, Delaney Mims of Atlanta, Ga. and Lindsay Mims of Athens, Ga.; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Bob Price of Prattville, Ala.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frances and Billy Mims of Lincolnton; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beth and John Fazio of Martinez, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Ashley Hall, Whitney, Hillary, Annabeth and Tyler Fazio; and great-nephew, Fleming Hall.

Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society Relay for Life c/ o Ft. Daniel Elementary School, 1725 Auburn Rd., Dacula, Ga. 30019

Mrs. Doris Maynard Davis, 88, wife of the late William C. Davis, entered into rest on February 6, 2007 at Kentwood Nursing Home in Augusta, Ga. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 9 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church cemetery with Bishop Cullen Hicks officiating.

Marian D. Dawkins

Mrs. Marian Neely Deason Dawkins, 68, wife of Lewis A. Dawkins, of North Augusta, S.C., entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5 at Belvedere United Methodist Church with Revs. David Templeton and David Lee officiating. Interment followed at Pineview Memorial Park.

Charlie Marshall Raffini

Mr. Charlie Marshall Raffini, 89, of Washington, entered into rest on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Wills Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 11 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Rainer officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Aubrey B. Ruff

Mrs. Audrey Boatwright Ruff, wife of the late Fletcher Ruff of Biscayne Drive, entered into rest Sunday, February 11, 2007 at DDEAMC, Ft. Gordon, Ga. Funeral service were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 15 at Goshen Baptist Church with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Interment followed in the Langley Cemetery, Langley, S.C. at 4 p.m.

George Lee Murray

Mr. George Lee Murray, of Washington Road, entered into rest on Saturday, February 10, 2007.

Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 17 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Rev. DaNang A. Rockett officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Murray was a native of Lincoln County and lived in Appling, Ga. for many years. He was the owner of Murray Logging Company and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Essie "Flossie" Johnson (Donald) and Stephanie V. Garnett, both of Appling; three sons, Bobbie Lee Murray and Christopher A. Perry, both of Appling, and Curtis Wright of Lincolnton; five sisters, Reva M. Bennett (Allen) of Lexington, N.C., Mildred Elam and Emma R. Harris, both of Lincolnton, Peggy Maddox and Fanny Faye Pete, both of Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Jessie L. Murray of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Harold Jasper Johnson

Mr. Harold Jasper Johnson, 83, entered into rest on Friday, February 23, 2007. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 25 at Loco Baptist Church with Revs. Aaron Aycox and Cullen Hicks officiating. Interment followed in Washington Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Katie Prevatt Vickery, 83, of Jacksonville, Fla., entered into rest on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Jacksonville. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 at Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating.

Ottieree Allen Easler

Ottieree Allen Easler, 100, passed away in her sleep from natural causes Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Graveside service were held at 2 p.m. on Fri., March 23, at Westview Cemetery. She was a lifelong resident of Richmond County.

Mr. Richard M. "Ricky" Garrard, 57, of Swainsboro, entered into rest on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at Lincolnton United Methodist Church with Revs. John M. "Dusty" Rhodes and Dave Hinson officiating.

Joel Ray Myers, Sr.

Mr. Joel Ray Myers, Sr., 68, of Ralph Goolsby Road, entered into rest on Monday, March 19, 2007 at Heartland Hospice in Augusta. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at New Hope Church cemetery with Bishop Cullen Hicks officiating.

Jessie Davis Scott

Mrs. Jessie Davis Scott, 98, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Harper's Personal Care Home in Washington. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, at Martin's Crossroad Congregational Holiness Church with Bishop Cullen Hicks, Rev. Terry Casper and Rev. James James officiating.

Cehoy V. Spires

Mrs. Cehoy V. Spires, 83, of Mc- Cormick Hwy., entered into rest on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington. Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at Bethany United Methodist Church with Revs. T.G. Hall, Elton Lawson and Walton McNeal officiating.

Mr. Thomas Ferdinand Poss, 74, of Elberton Hwy., entered into rest on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at MCG, Augusta. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at First Assembly of God with Revs. Lanis Lewis, Terry Bonds, and Jim Leonard officiating.

Anne Kate Lane Kelley

Mrs. Anne Kate Lane Kelley, 94, of St. Mary's, Ga., entered into rest on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Camden Campus. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at Double Branches Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Manis Teasley Davis

Mr. Manis Teasley Davis, 79, of McLeroy Dr., entered into rest on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta. Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Revs. Bobby Farmer and John McCoy officiating.

Ella Jane Beard

Mrs. Ella Jane Beard, 55, of Bethany Church Road, entered into rest on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Perriman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

William "Bill" Neimann

William 'Bill' E. Niemann, MSgt., USAF, retired, entered into rest on April 5, 2007. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gale Seibert officiating. Interment followed in Resthaven cemetery with full military honors.
