Mrs. Dorothy McLeod
Mrs. Dorothy Owen McLeod, 86, of 4889 East Happy Valley Circle in Newnan, formerly of LaGrange, died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. McLeod, born November 1, 1914, in LaGrange, was the daughter of the late Sig Oliver and Sally Lou Lancaster Owen. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square where she was a member of Merry Makers.
Survivors include two daughters, Owen McLeod of Savannah and Sally McLeod Wood of Newnan; five grandchildren, Charles Solomon III of Athens and Ida Owen Solomon, Mark McLeod Wood, Morgan Alexander Wood and Joanna Wood Janas, all of Newnan; five great - grandchildren; a sister and brother - in - law, Sarah and Bob McGarity of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander McLeod. 
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul R. Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Welcome Center of the church Tuesday afternoon from 1 until 2.
Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Minnie Morgan
Mrs. Minnie Ollie Morgan, 95, of 1009 Park Ave., died Sunday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Morgan, born October 28, 1905, in Lexington, was the daughter of the late Luther and Clara Cunningham Harrison. She had lived here most of her life and retired from the Elm City Plant of Callaway Mills Company. She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Gussie Patterson of Danielsville and Mrs. Kathalene Graham of Colbert; a stepdaughter, Rudine Morgan of Slidell, La; a niece and her husband, Ruth and Charles Bailey; a nephew and his wife, James and Betty Walls, all of LaGrange; and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home with the Rev. John R. Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Hillview East Cemetery.
The family will be at the Home of her niece and her husband, Ruth and Charles Bailey, at 1222 New Franklin Road and will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 3 until 4 at the funeral home.

Charley L. Brown
Charley L. Brown, 74, of LaGrange died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
The son of the late Curtis and Viola Whitehead Brown, Mr. Brown was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Randolph County, Ala. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had lived in LaGrange since 1952. He was retired after 30 years of service at Milliken and Co., where he worked as a manager.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Eva Jane Brown; two daughters, Janet Ann Brown of Montgomery, Ala., and Stephania Hester of LaGrange; two sons, Charley L. Cafarelli Sr. of Dallas, Texas, and William Campbell of North Carolina; his mother - in - law, Martha Smith of LaGrange; and four sisters, four brothers, nine grandchildren, one great - grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Walters and Cynthia Brown.
Graveside funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Shadowlawn cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary, 1010 Mooty Bridge Road.

Fuller Hubbard Sr.
Fuller Hubbard Sr., 66, of 968 Drummond Road in West Point died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Hubbard was born Aug. 23, 1934 in Troup County. He was retired from West Point Stevens.
Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Hubbard; his mother, Mary Cotton; four sons and two daughters in - law, Albert Hurston, Ashley and Katherine Hubbard, all of LaGrange, Harold Hubbard of West Point, and Fuller Jr. and Janice Hubbard of Brocton, Mass.; three daughters and one son - in - law, Ollivie Hubbard of Savannah and Patricia A. Wortham of LaGrange, and Jacqueline and Calvin Gray of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph Hubbard of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Thomas Hubbard of LaGrange; one aunt, Wylene Smith of Ypsilanti; and 14 grandchildren and five great - grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Shellie Hubbard.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point. The Revs. Alfonzia Simpson and W.T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in Union Spring Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at his home.
A service by Mackey - Wilson - Jennings Funeral Home.

William Lewis
William Delmar Lewis, 94, of Woodland, Ala., died Friday in Traylor's Nursing Home in Roanoke, Ala.
The son of Wiley Edward Lewis and Emma Rice Lewis, Mr. Lewis was born March 9, 1907, in Heard County. He was a self - employed farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Flat Rock Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Era Bailey Lewis of Woodland; a son, William T. Lewis of Woodland; a sister, Mary Meadows of LaGrange; two brothers, Luther Lewis of Woodland and Georgia Lewis of Smiths, Ala.; four grandchildren, Tommy Lewis of Woodland, Keith Lewis of Graham, Ala., Patti Sweet of Collerville, Tenn., and Wanda Crow of Pine Mountain; and 10 great - grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. CST at Flat Rock Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Ernest Lipham and Leron Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Corrie Spradlin
Mrs. Corrie Hay Spradlin, 91, of Hogansville died Friday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Spradlin, born August 12, 1909, was the daughter of the late Carl and Ira Gamble Hay. A Hogansville native, she retired from Jabaley’s Department Store in Hogansville. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons and daughters - in - law, George Jr. and Edwin Spradlin, Kenneth and Betty Jo Spradlin and Charles and Sherry Spradlin, all of Hogansville; a brother, J.C. Hay of Tallahassee, Fla.; six grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Spradlin.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Claude A. McKibben & Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with Dr. Jimmy Brown and the Rev. David Pickard officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 until 9.

Scott G. Mahan
Scott G. Mahan, 45, of Ipswich, Mass., formerly of McDonough, died Sunday in Burlington, Mass.
Mr. Mahan, born in Wyandotte, Mich., was the son of Mrs. Opal Powell Mahan and the late Gerald Mahan. He had lived in Ipswich since 1998 and was a graduate of Stonehill College in Massachusetts. He was employed by Shaw Industries of Dalton.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mrs. Jane Newman Mahan of Ipswich; a son, Connor Scott Mahan; two stepchildren, Jonathan Newman McRae and William Scott McRae; and two brothers, Bryan M. Mahan of Colorado and Kurt R. Mahan of Michigan.
Memorial services will be at First United Methodist Church of LaGrange at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scott G. Mahan Memorial, P.O. Box 1244, LaGrange, Georgia, 30241.

Mrs. Dorothy Carter
Mrs. Dorothy Carter, formerly, of LaGrange died Tuesday in New York City.
Local survivors include a sister, Gaynelle Newman; a nephew, Gary Newman; and two nieces, Angela Pace and Sharon Brooks, all of LaGrange.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in New York City.
George Weldon Funeral Home at 3343 East 116th St., in New York City is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Edith Reed
Mrs. Edith Granberry Reed of West Point died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Reed, born July 27, 1926, in Chambers County, Ala., was the daughter of the late Zachary and Winona McCann Granberry. She retired as a secretary from the West Point Housing Authority after 10 years and had worked for Peabody Manufacturing Company. She was also a homemaker and gardener.
Survivors include a daughter and son - in - law, Susan and Greg Brookshire of LaGrange; a son and daughter - in - law, Jeffrey and Yvonne Reed of West Point; three grandchildren, Jessica Reed and Jim Reed of West Point and Nathan Brookshire of LaGrange; and a sister Mary Jo Owens of Lanett, Ala.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Marseilles cemetery in West Point with the Rev. Ray Warner officiating.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point.

Mrs. Frances Hightower
Mrs. Frances Beatrice Hightower, 87, of 704 South Lee St., died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Hightower, born January 5, 1914, in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Orren Felton and Bernice Beatrice Gilbert Godfrey. She had lived here most of her life and retired from the Elm City Plant of Callaway Mills Company. She was a former Avon representative and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Pete Hightower of West Point; three sisters, Mary Spraggins of West Point, Merle Schipul of LaGrange and Vera Joiner of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers and a sister - in - law, Tom Godfrey of Gatesville, Texas, and Jim and Lorrene Godfrey of Acworth; a brother - in - law, Don Ramsey of West Point; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home is with the Rev. Kenneth Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at her home and will receive friends Friday afternoon from 4 until 5 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lucille Darden
Mrs. Lucille Darden, 85, of LaGrange died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Darden, born April 28, 1915, in Langdale, Ala., was the daughter of the late Nathan and Lizzie Smith Hornsby. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was a member of Loyd Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Frank Darden Sr.; a son and daughter in law, Frank Jr. and Janice Darden, all of LaGrange, a brother, Calvin Hornsby of Roanoke, Ala.; three sisters, Ruth Outland, Christine Stitt and Jackie Anglin, all of LaGrange, and Ann Johnson of Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Loyd Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Garrett Arnold - Hoffman officiating.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Loyd Presbyterian Church cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Darden.
