Mrs. Grace L. Harmon
Mrs. Grace L. Harmon, 86, of Hogansville, died Sunday at Florence Hand Home.
Mrs. Harmon, born January 29, 1916 in Walker County, was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lena Hilton Lupo. A resident of Hogansville for the past 22 years, she was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was the wife of the late Earl H. Harmon. She was always active in the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and had served as a leader for Camp Fire Girls.
Survivors include three daughters and sons - in - law, Patra and Bob Murphy of Joliet, Ill., Elaine and Brooks Shelhorse of Hogansville and Dawn and Mark McCord of Gainesville; six grandchildren, Michelle Singleton, Rob Murphy, Annica Ritchie, Lance McCord, Ian McCord, and Llana Shelhorse, and two great - grandchildren, Nathan Singleton and Juliana Singleton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wayne Hester and Rob Singleton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 this evening at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

Mrs. Hallie A. Reid
Funeral services for Mrs. Hallie A. Reid, 92, of Luthersville, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Luthersville United Methodist Church with burial in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

Mrs. Lura P. Wilson
Mrs. Lura Prince Wilson, 78, of Woodland, Ala., died Tuesday at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Wilson, born December 21, 1923 in Randolph County, Ala., was the daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Scott Prince of LaGrange and the late James Foster Prince. She was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, Bryant J. Wilson; four sisters, Lavelle Parker of Breman, Ruth Maharry of LaGrange, Alice Ann Thompson of LaGrange, and Betty Jean Scott of Round Rock, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Prince.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Napoleon Church of Christ with Brothers W.C. Cofiled and Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kirby, Bill Prince Jr., J.W. Morgan, Gregg Moore and Donald Thompson.
Benefield Funeral Home in Wedowee, Ala., is in charge of arrangements.

Sara Middlebrooks Morrow
Mrs. Sara Christine Middlebrooks Morrow, 83, of 1346 Mooty Bridge Road Hilltop Apartments, died Monday evening at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Morrow, born December 21, 1918 in Troup County, was the daughter of the late John Wiley and Lettie Virginia Hardy Middlebrooks. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and former Sunday school teacher. She retired from the Kex Plant of Callaway Mills Company after 20 years of service. Her husband, the late I.J. Morrow who died July 27, 2001, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two daughters and sons - in - law, Sonia and Vernon Presley of Coffee Springs, Ala., and Phyllis and Mark Bryant of Slocomb, Ala; a sister, Mrs. Sue Elizabeth Middlebrooks Phillips of LaGrange; two grandsons, The Rev. Rex Campbell of Marietta and Dusty Presley of Coffee Springs, Ala.; three special nieces, Elise Middlebrooks Cash, Glenda Livingston Givens and Patricia (Pat) Thompson Vessell, and two special sisters - in - law, Mrs. (Della) Joe Bob McManus of Roopville and Mrs. (Margie) Jack Moore of Des Monies, Iowa. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Clyde Middlebrooks Bailey, Lynda Mae Crawford, Grace Middlebrooks Thompson and Margaret Louise Middlebrooks Livingston, and three brothers, George Middlebrooks, Jesse J. Middlebrooks and Loyd Hillard (Shorty) Middlebrooks.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Chapel with The Rev. Bobby Robinson and The Rev. Rex Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 until 9.
It is requested that all flowers and food be omitted, and memorials be made to the Unity Baptist Church Building Fund or the Mercer University Georgia Baptist College of Nursing Christian Nurses Scholarship, 3002 Mercer University Drive, Atlanta, Ga., 30341 - 4115 in memory of Mrs. Morrow and her nurturing, caring and loving demeanor.

Mrs. Betty L. Moore, 60, of 5530 Highway 100 in Hogansville, died Saturday at Fayette Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville with the Rev. Joseph McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Willard Knight
Willard Knight, 84, of 695 Vernon Ferry Road in LaGrange, died Tuesday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Knight, born July 28, 1918 in Randolph County, Ala., was the son of the late Barton and Mattie Lee Pitts Knight. He was retired from Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Company. He was an United States Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Knight of LaGrange; a daughter and son - in - law, Linda and Ron Humphries of LaGrange; a sister, Clara Rice; a brother, Rollie Wilkerson, both of Wadley, Ala.; three grandchildren, Dewayne Humphries and Robert Humphries, both of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Aylssa Long of St. Marys; four great - grandchildren, Warren Roberts, Chandler Humphries, Morgan Long and Carington Humphries, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hunter - Allen - Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Jay Knight and Dr. Paul R. Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his daughter and son - in - law, Linda and Ron Humphries at 677 Vernon Ferry Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 until 9.

A.D. Harry
A.D. Harry, 85, of 1503 1st Street in Lanett, Ala., died at home.
Mr. Harry, born April 25, 1917 in Glenn, was a member of Lanett Congregational Christian Church and a charter member of the Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Dollar Harry; Phillip (Elaine) Harry, Steven (Elaine) Harry. Pacita (Danny) Harry, William (Jeanie) Harry, Greg (Dana) Harry and Chris (Leigh) Harry; 15 grandchildren, and three great - grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lanett Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Bain officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 this evening at the funeral home.
The family requests that flowers be omitted, and those desiring may make memorials to Lanett Congregational Christian Church or Chattahoochee Hospice in memory of Mr. Harry.
Resthaven Funeral Home in Lanett is in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy R. Johnson
Jimmy R. Johnson, 56, of Dawson, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Johnson, born September 7, 1946 in Hogansville, was the son of the late Leroy and Effie Estes Johnson. Before making his home in Dawson earlier this year, he lived in Troup County most of his life. He was employed as a carpenter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Furlow and Melinda Ray Cauthen; a son, William Grady Johnson, all of Hogansville; four sisters, Linda Golden of Sasser, Dolly Bonner, Patricia Mooty and Gaynelle Spradlin, all of LaGrange; three brothers, Tommy Johnson of LaGrange, Benny Johnson of Hogansville, and Danny Johnson of Albany, and five grandchildren, Kacie Furlow, Chase Furlow, Hayley Cauthen, Dixie Cauthen and William Cody Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Driver.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening at the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

Mrs. Sara Christine Middlebrooks Morrow, 83, of 1346 Mooty Bridge Road Hilltop Apartments, died Monday evening at West Georgia Medical Center.

Steve (Hessy) Lesley
Steven Bruce Lesley, 46, of 239 Willowood Road in LaGrange, died Thursday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Lesley, born June 19, 1956 in LaGrange, was the son of the late Marion and Gladys Britt Partridge. He was a member of South Highland Presbyterian Church and a 1974 graduate of Troup High School. He was an electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Dede Cash Lesley; a daughter, Sunny Lesley; his mother, Mrs. Iris Burgess; a stepdaughter, Misty Storey; two grandchildren, Lacie Hudgins and Trae Hudgins; a step grandson, Salem Storey, and a halfbrother, Chris Otwell, all of LaGrange.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Restlawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Orman Harcrow officiating.
The family will be at their home at 239 Willowood Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 this evening.
Flowers will be accepted, or those desiring may contribute to their favorite charity in memory of Mr. Lesley.
Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
