Samuel Powell of 510B Alford St., died Wednesday at his home.

Dr. Ronald Henderson
Dr. Ronald Gordon Henderson, 67, of Dublin, died Monday in Dublin.
Dr. Henderson, born in Troup County, was the son of the late Arthur Roy and Verna Lee Chewning Henderson. He had been a resident of Laurens County for 23 years. He attended Berry College and the University of Georgia and received his Bachelor's degree for the Naval Post Graduate School, a master's degree from the University of Southern California, and his doctoral degree from Nova University. He was a Naval aviator, retiring as a commander having served in Korea and Vietnam. He taught at Brewton Parker College and the United States Naval Academy. He was the former president of the Heart of Georgia Technical College and served on the board of director for the Advocates for Alzheimers Care, Inc., and Easter Seals of Middle Georgia. He was a former mason and was a past member of the Rotary Club. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Dublin.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Elinor Daniel Henderson of Dublin; two sons, Samuel Gordon Henderson of Dexter and Daniel Roy Henderson of Dublin; a grandson, Cory Ryan Henderson of Kennesaw; a brother, Leon Henderson of LaGrange; two nieces, Lisa Queen of Epworth and Ellen Henderson of LaGrange; and a nephew Walter Henderson of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Dublin. Burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin is in charge of arrangements.

Kai Malek Haynes
Kai Malek Haynes, infant son of Kevin Haynes and Clarissa Jenkins, died Saturday at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Graveside services will be at 3 this afternoon in St. Mary United Methodist Church cemetery in Hogansville with the Rev. Gregory Williams officiating.
Thrash and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harry Richburg
Thomas Harold (Harry) Richburg, 63, of LaGrange, a loving, caring husband, father and brother died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Richburg, born Dec. 30, 1939, in Greenville, Ala., was the son of the late Harold and Susie Copeland Richburg of Columbus. He attended Columbus College, received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Georgia and a master's and specialist degree from Georgia State University. He retired as a classroom teacher and school psychologist with Crisp County Schools, LaGrange City Schools and Muscogee County Schools. He was a committed Christian and faithful member of Franklin Road Baptist where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and a member of the church choir.
Survivors include his wife, Corrie Gaston Richburg of LaGrange; three daughters and a son - in - law, Amy and Brock Parker of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Melanie Richburg and Sara Richburg, both of LaGrange; a sister, Mrs. Sue Richburg Williams of Alpharetta; a brother, Dr.. James R. Richburg of Niceville, Fla.; an aunt, Mrs. Gertrude Richburg Williams of Niceville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at Franklin Road Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Sledge and Bob Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends this evening at Striffler - Hamby Mortuary from 6 until 8.
Striffler - Hamby Mortuary at 1010 Mooty Bridge Road is in charge of arrangements.

Jackie Bonita Tucker of 108 Belk St., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The family will be the home of Denise Moody at 129 Youngs Mill Road and at the home of Juanita Davis at 120 Royal Court.

Mrs. Frances Jones
Mrs. Frances Holliday Jones, 85, of 129 North Page St., died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Jones, born September, 23, 1917, in Roanoke, Ala., was the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Etta Tomlin Holliday. She had lived here since 1978, retired from West Point Pepperell and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons - in - law, Cecile and Wayne Keeble of LaGrange and Sue and Walter Rosso of Cusseta; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Patti Keeble, Leigh and Bill Swann, Lori and David McClung, Jennifer and Scott Koleff, Todd and Tammy Keeble, Kim Harralson, Kevin and Grace Harralson and Krystal and Paul Coleman; 16 great - grandchildren; a special friend, Faye Buttrum and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman T. Jones, a grandson, Kendall Harralson and a son - in - law, Ray Harralson.
Funeral services will be at 11 Tuesday morning in the Hunter - Allen - Myhand chapel with the Revs. Jimmie L. Willis and Michael Hornsby officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at her home and will receive friends this evening at the funeral home from 6 until 8.

Doris Cole - Hardaway
Mrs. Doris McCrary Cole - Hardaway of 1988 Willa Drive in Decatur, formerly of LaGrange, died Jan. 4, 2003, at Dekalb Medical Center.
Mrs. Cole - Hardaway, born in Troup County, was the daughter of the late Bill and Leila Howell McCrary.
Survivors include her husband, Worthy Hardaway; a son, Jerry Haralson; an adopted son, Mark Page; a special great niece, Charrell Thomas; another niece, a nephew, several other great - nieces and nephews, several cousin, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 this morning at Midway Missionary Baptist Church at 2280 Godby Road in College Park with the Rev. Edward S. Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Wehadkee Baptist Church cemetery at 572 Old School Road in Abottsford.

Margaret B. Whitten
Margaret Boggs Whitten, 71, of LaGrange died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Whitten, born Sept. 8, 1931, in Randolph County, was the daughter of the late James and Annie Lou Burdette Boggs. She worked in textiles and was a waitress. She was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joel Whitten of LaGrange; a son and daughter - in - law, Fred and Judy Boggs of Dahlonega; two sisters, Mary Swanson of LaGrange and Diana Hackett of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jerry Boggs of LaGrange and Larry Boggs of Douglas; four grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Whitten and a granddaughter, Michelle Davis.
Funeral services will be this morning at 11 in the Hunter - Allen - Myhand Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Kevin Buttrum officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 102 Mountville St.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring can make contributions to the family.

William F. Lee
William F. Lee, 87, of Newnan, died Friday.
Mr. Lee, born October 1, 1915 in Newnan, was the son of the late J. Frank Lee and Frances Herring Lee.
He graduated from Newnan High School and also receive a degree in pharmacy from Auburn University in 1937 where he was head cheerleader and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Upon his graduation from Auburn, he began work as a pharmacist for Lee - King Drug Company in Newnan with his father and his uncle, the late John Robert King. He became the proprietor of the Lee - King Drug Company and continued to work there until his retirement at the age of 81. For many years he was in partnership with his son, Robert L. Lee who still operates the business which now consists of three stores.
On August 15, 1940, he married Martha Park Culpepper, to whom he was married for 50 years and who preceded him in death.
His work was interrupted when he served as an officer in the United States Army during World War II. He was discharged with the rank of captain.
He was president of the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association, a past president of the Newnan Rotary Club, a member of the Newnan Country Club and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Judge William F. Lee Jr., Robert L. Lee and Martha Lee Child; seven grandchildren; two great - grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. W.Y. Ellis.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill cemetery with the Dr. Joel Richardson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Central Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1221, Newnan, Ga., 30264, in memory of Mr. Lee.
McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan is in charge of arrangements.
