Bill McVey
Bill McVey, age 61, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 29, 2006. Mr. McVey was born in Anderson, Indiana, the son of William K. and Effie Wilhoite McVey. Bill donated his time and services to churches and enjoyed gardening, horseshoes, fishing, hunting and traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, William K. McVey; and sister, Janet Neff.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Stephanie McVey of Stockbridge; sons, Paul (Susan) McVey of McDonough, Stephen (Alicia) McVey of Stockbridge; mother, Effie McVey of Stockbridge; and grandchildren, Gracie and Sarah McVey.
Services were held August 1 at Oak Park Church. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Richard Lewis Collins
Richard Lewis "Dick" Collins, age 66, of McDonough, Georgia died July 30, 2006. Mr. Collins was born May 15, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Mary Ann Gilbert and Richard Lewis Collins, Sr. He graduated from Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina; graduated from the University of North Carolina; served his country in the National Guard; retired from Sanwa Foods; and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Collins of McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Terry Venable of Roswell; son, Mike Collins of Jackson; grandchildren, Cody and Kayla Collins of McDonough, Evan Venable of Roswell; sister, Marilyn Arnold of Charleston, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 2 at Glen Haven Baptist Church, with Pastor Ralph Easterwood officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lois Adams Skinner
Mary Lois Adams Skinner, age 82, of McDonough, Georgia died July 30, 2006. Mrs. Skinner was born September 17, 1923 in Winder, the daughter of the late Eula Mae Reynolds and George Adams. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, knitting, bingo, cards and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Skinner; and sons, James and Milton Skinner.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Sorrows of Conyers, Thomas Skinner of Fayetteville, Diane Owens of Forest Park, Louise Jones of Locust Grove, Sammy Skinner of DeKalb; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 1 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Forest Park, with Pastor Allen Mays officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Albert Mayhue
Jimmy Albert Mayhue, age 74, of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 31, 2006. Mr. Mayhue was born August 9, 1931 in Milstead, the son of the late Mattie Ruth Scott and Guy Wesley Mayhue. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park, had been a Clayton County Recreational Department baseball umpire, and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Mayhue Delay.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Cawthon Mayhue of Locust Grove; children; grandchildren; sisters, Rosalyn Mayhue Boggs and Evelyn Mayhue Garrison, both of Griffin; brother, Gene Mayhue of Doraville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 2 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Willie Thomas Sapp
Willie Thomas Sapp, age 92, of Stockbridge, Georgia died July 31, 2006. Mr. Sapp was born September 14, 1913 in Bleckley County, the son of the late Nancy Barrentine and James W. Sapp. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1929 to 1932, retired from Atlanta Steel Company as an electrician, and was a member of Flippen United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Verna M. Sapp of McDonough; children, Deborah and Rick Ewing of Stockbridge, Jean and Cliff Hendrix of Columbia, South Carolina, Raibon Saip of California; grandchildren, Darlene and Kenny Byrom of Stockbridge, Dale Trevethan and Tammy and Ron McCathern, all of Columbia, South Carolina, Rovi Saip, Ruby Riepenhoff and Rachel Lineberry, all of California; great-grandchildren, Kenny and Kristen Byrom; sisters, Lois Staples of Byron, Mary Sims of Cordele; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held August 3 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert Brown and Rev. Gary DeMore officiating. Interment Flippen Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Todd Caldwell
Jerry Todd Caldwell, age 43, of McDonough, Georgia died August 2, 2006. Mr. Caldwell was born in Atlanta.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Caldwell; parents, Jerry and Mary Akin Caldwell of Stockbridge; daughters, Elizabeth Wagnon of Kennesaw, Amanda Caldwell of Stockbridge; stepson, Preston Ball of McDonough; siblings, Terri Smith of McDonough; Travis Caldwell of Stockbridge, Tony Caldwell of McDonough; and maternal grandmother, Maedelle Akin of Covington.
Services were held August 4 at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Dr. Tim Dowdy officiating. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Doyle Ross Tomberlin
Doyle Ross "Beaver" Tomberlin, age 47, of Jonesboro, Georgia died July 5, 2006. Mr. Tomberlin was born September 10, 1958 in Bibb County. He earned his Eagle Scout Rank with Troop 13 in the Atlanta Area Council. He had worked in the sign business most of his working career.
He is survived by his mother, Lucile Jinks Tomberlin of Jonesboro, father, Eugene Tomberlin of Southhaven, Mississippi; brother, Scotty Eugene Tomberlin of Deland, Florida; niece, Crystal Tomberlin of Daytona Beach, Florida; nephews, Scotty E. Tomberlin II and Daniel Tomberlin of Daytona Beach, Florida; step-grandmother, Margaret Tomberlin of Dallas, Georgia and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held July 8 at McDonough City Cemetery, with Pastor Irvin Pearre officiating. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Leslie June Courtney
Leslie June Courtney, age 26, of McDonough, Georgia died July 20, 2006. Miss Courtney was born September 6, 1979 in Hamilton County, Ohio, the daughter of Marcella Jean Courtney. She was a student at Griffin Tech, studying to be a Radiology Technician. She enjoyed her computer, collages, shopping, movies and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her sisters, Amanda Curl of McDonough, Tammy Carter of Stockbridge; grandmother, Phyllis Courtney of Florida; extended parents, Tommy Collins, Katy and Bill Crane, Beth and John Martin; extended family, Kay and Tony Witscher, Chris and Kristy Speed, Michelle and Leslie Micah Amarra, Anna Stillwell; boyfriend, Eric Hardiman; aunt, Ann Sanders of Ohio; and Lungs for Leslie volunteers.
Services were held July 23 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Leslie and Pastor David O’Steen officiating. Interment Berea Cemetery. For those who wish contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Reaching Out Foundation, P.O. Box 870747, Stone Mountain, Georgia, 30087. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Doyle Jenkins
Doyle Jenkins, age 64, of McDonough, Georgia died July 22, 2006. Mr. Jenkins was born in Hawkinsville, the son of the late Hurdle and Bessie Mae Coleman Jenkins. He loved to ride his Harley and visit the Waffle House on Jodeco Rd.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Jenkins of McDonough; children, Van Boswell of Monroe, Skip Jenkins of Macon, Troy Jenkins of Barnesville, Heath Jenkins of Hampton, Shane Jenkins of McDonough, Scott Murphy of Griffin; brothers, Jeff Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark Jenkins of Charleston, South Carolina, sister, Kathy Rainey of Macon; and several grandchildren.
Services were held July 24 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Rev. Reed Benson officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens. Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Chadwick Philip Lunsford
Chadwick Philip "Chad" Lunsford, age 31, of Locust Grove, Georgia died July 24, 2006. Mr. Lunsford was born October 8, 1974 in Fulton County, the son of Russell and Patti Thompson Lunsford. Chad was a great person with a heart of gold, loving husband, father and son.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lunsford; and children, Amber and Justin Lunsford, all of Locust Grove; siblings, Rhonda and G.W. Wright of McDonough, Terry Lunsford of Stockbridge, Stacy and Tina Lunsford and families, all of Locust Grove; grandmother, Nellie Thompson of McDonough; mother- and father-in-law, Anna and Bray Tuck of Hampton; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jinny and Craig Allison of McDonough, Jimmy Langston of Hampton; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 27 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Joseph Reed officiating. Interment McDonough City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the trust fund for Amber and Justin at the Park Avenue Bank of McDonough. Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
