CHATSWORTH - Hershel Lawrence Davis died Friday, May 21, 1999, in an Atlanta hospital. He was 61.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Williams Davis; two sons, Curtis and Eddie Davis; daughter, Joyce Pieczynski, all of Chatsworth; four brothers, James Davis, Chatsworth, Howard Davis, Oklahoma, Russell Davis, Rupert, W.Va., and Jewel Davis, West Virginia; two sisters, Mary Haley, Oklahoma and Juanita Suttle, Buckeye, Ohio.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Morgan officiating.
Burial will be in Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

DALTON - Vernon J. Lee died Wednesday, May 19, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 72.
Services will be today at noon at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

McCAYSVILLE - Josie Lena Magness Parsons died Friday, May 21, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 89.
Mrs. Parsons was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Parsons; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Finch Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Fisher officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CARTERSVILLE - Mose Lee Royal died Friday, May 14, 1999, at his home.

Marie Sindersine
DALTON - Marie Comer Sindersine died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 69.
She was a former airline stewardess and model and a member of Sylvania, Ga., First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol S. Sandvi, Dalton, and Sharon S. Lassiter, New Orleans, La.; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home in Sylvania, Ga. with the Rev. B. Sonny Mason officiating.
Burial will be in Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

CALHOUN - Gregory Todd Walker died Thursday, May 20, 1999, in a Chattanooga hospital from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 36.
Mr. Walker had lived most of his life in Gordon County and was employed by Candlewock Inc.
Survivors include a daughter, Michele Walker, Calhoun; parents, Drexel and Ann Walker, Calhoun; sister, Traci Floyd, Calhoun; three brothers, Alan, Daryl and Jeff Walker, all of Calhoun.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Norris Sexton and the Rev. Mitch Philips officiating.
Burial will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

DALTON - Troy Joe Beasley died Thursday, May 13, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 67.
Survivors include his wife, Billy Jean Beasley; daughter, Rebecca Caldwell, Dalton; four sons, Paul, David, Richard and Jerry Beasley, all of Dalton; six sisters, Ruby Teasley, Dalton, Jessie Sawan, Chattanooga, Edith Bradley, Betty Withrow, Barbara Durden and Dorothy McMichael, all of Chatsworth; two brothers, P.O. Beasley and William Troy Beasley Jr., both of Dalton; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Guffey officiating.
Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery.
Lucky Childress
TRENTON - Lucky Truitt Childress, owner and operator of L & V Saddlery on Sand Mountain, died Friday, May 14, 1999, at his home. He was 55.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Allen Childress.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Childress; two daughters, Mary Ann Waters, Trenton, and Vickie Atchley, Bryant, Ala.; three sisters, Helen McDow, Ider, Ala., Faye Gore, Higdon, Ala., and Glenda Griffith, Flat Rock, Ala.; two brothers, Troy Vann Childress, Higdon, and Sonny Childress, Trenton; three grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sand Mountain Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens in Trenton.
The family will receive friends all day today and Sunday at Moore Funeral Home, Higdon.
Betty Gilreath
KENSINGTON - Betty Sue Gilreath died Friday, May 14, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 67.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Gilreath, and a daughter, Deborah Gilreath.
Survivors include a son, Franklin D. Gilreath Jr., Kensington; five brothers, Bob, Bill, Charles, Tommy and Jimmy Bohannon, all of Kensington; three grandchildren.
