Mary Chamlee
LaFAYETTE - Mary P. Chamblee died Monday, March 5, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 91.
She was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church and the widow of John Carl Chamlee.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Guest, Rossville, Nell Ott, LaFayette, and Jane Chapman, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 11;30 a.m. in West Hill cemetery with the Rev. Tom Russell officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home, Summerville, Ga.
Barbara Chastain
ROSSVILLE - Barbara J. Chastain died Monday, March 29, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 63.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana L. Nevell, Tunnel Hill, Ga.
Services were private.
Arrangements were made by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
Catherine Cochran
DALTON - Catherine Ellis Cochran died Monday, April 5, 1999, at her home. She was 72.
She was a graduate of Dalton High School Class of 1946, the widow of Felton M. Cochran Sr. and the mother of the late Donnie Cochran.
Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Cunningham, Boynton Beach, Fla., Connie Crisp, Dalton, and Edith Kendrick, Varnell, Ga.; three sons, Michael Cochran, Ringgold, Ga., Allen and Michael Cochran, both of Dalton; two sisters, Marie Padgett, Dalton, and Helen Wade, Chatsworth, Ga.; a brother, William Ellis, Florida; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Odell Cochran, the Rev. Daniel Hocker and the Rev. Wayne Cofield officiating.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.
Sybil Cox
ROSSVILLE - Sybil L. Cox of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Rossville, died Friday, April 2, 1999, at her home. She was 92.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

SUMMERVILLE - Bill Espy died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his home. He was 71.
A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. in Lyerly cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Harris officiating.

Corrie Grigsby
DALTON - Corrie Mae Ray "Nannie' Grigsby died Monday, April 5, 1999, at her home. She was 97.
She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Gordon Grigsby; a daughter, Euncie Wallace; and a son, Thomas C. Grigsby.
Survivors include a son, John Luther Grigsby, Dalton; five grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Eton Cemetery.
Martha Hale
CHATSWORTH - Martha Jean Henry Hale died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at her home. She was 72.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Cecil Hale; a son, Cecil Hale, Jr., Chatsworth; and a brother, Joe Henry, Dalton.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Robin Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in Murray Memory Gardens.
Carl Hall
ROME - Carl Denton Hall died Monday, March 5, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 68.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at noon at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Stinson officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Exie Hammitt
TRION - Exie E. Hammett died Monday, April 5, 1999, at her home. She was 77.
She was a member of South Commerce Church of Christ and was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Browning.
Survivors include her husband, R.L. Hammitt; a daughter, Karen Warren, Rome; several half sisters; one half brother; and two grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at J.D. Hill Funeral Home in Summerville, Ga., with minister Clark Sosebee officiating.
Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens.
