Nina Clifton
RAINSVILLE - Nina Faye Clifton died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 68.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Richey, Prattville, Ala., and Sheila Long, Birmingham; a brother, Verlon Whited, Michigan; two sisters, Lorene Dill, Chickamauga, Ga., and Ruby Lee Boling, Michigan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Nazareth Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Graham and the Rev. Doyle Shirey officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Thomas Durham
RAINSVILLE - Thomas J. "Jeff' Durham died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 90.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile Durham; two sons, Richard Durham, Birmingham, and David Durham, Nashville; a daughter, Faye Wagoner, Rainsville; three sisters, Mary Schallock and Hazel Scott, both of Rainsville, and Syble Hall, Augusta, Ga.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin McCreless and the Rev. Nolan Ford officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Charles Hairell
HENAGAR - Charles D. Hairell died Saturday, May 8, 1999, in Fort Payne, Ala. He was 65.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Owens and Larry Haynes officiating.
Burial will be in New Home Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar.
Bessie Harrison
FLAT ROCK - Bessie Nellie Harrison died Sunday, May 9, 1999, at her home. She was 80.
She was the widow of Roosevelt Harrison and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Henagar, Ala.
Survivors include two sons, James L. and Wayne Harrison, Flat Rock; a daughter, Wanda Wilson, Flat Rock; brother, Norman Oakes, LePinto, Ark.; two sisters, Nolea Durham, Arab, Ala., and Sadie Collins, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. CDT at Kerby Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Sears officiating.
Burial will be in Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
Ada Hulsey
ODENVILLE - Ada Lou Hulsey died Monday, May 10, 1999, at her home. She was 57.
She was formerly of Chattanooga and was a member of East Gadsden (Ala.) Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elliott Felton Crane.
Survivors include her husband, Elton P. Hulsey Jr.; two daughters, Cindy Croffut, Gadsden, and April Chapman, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Elliott Patrick Hulsey, Odenville; her mother, Melva Pemberton Crane; a sister, Joy Crane, Chattanooga; brother, Hugh Michael O'Neal, Huntsville, Ala.; five grandchildren.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Richard Croffut officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends today from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Laresta Bowen
DALTON - Laresta Hammontree Bowen died Monday, May 10, 1999. She was 79.
She was widowed by Paul M. Bowen, Wendell T. Stowe and Randall Dodd, and was preceded in death by three sons, Charles E. and Randall Dodd and Wendell T. Stowe.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Sisk, Dalton, and Sandra Mayfield, Dallas, Ga.; two sons, Tommy and Jimmy Stowe, both of Dalton; a sister, Eva Burnette, Dalton; brother, James Hammontree, Dalton; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond McCranie officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Miriam Cascone
FORT OGLETHORPE - Miriam "Lois' Cascone died Friday, May 7, 1999. She was 66.
Formerly of Bristol, Conn., she had lived in the Fort Oglethorpe area for the past four years and was a member of New Manna Baptist Church.
She was a real estate broker for 16 years.
Survivors include her husband, Salvatore "S.A.' Cascone; two daughters, Linda Roberge, Bristol, Conn., and Carol Jane Cascone, Ringgold, Ga.; two sisters, Jean Wise, Chelsea, Mass., and Barbara Winegardner, Fort Oglethorpe; five grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Lynn officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends all day today at the funeral home.
Robert Chandler
LaFAYETTE - Robert E. "Bobby' Chandler died Monday, May 10, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 69.
Mr. Chandler was formerly employed at Dubbies and later Piggly Wiggly as the meat market manager. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of LaFayette and its Men's Bible Class. He was a member of LaFayette Golf Club.
Survivors include a sister, Gwendolyn Williams, LaFayette, and a brother, Jerry Chandler, LaFayette.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with the Rev. Woody Lee and the Rev. Cecil Bryant officiating.
Burial will be in LaFayette City Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
