TUNNEL HILL, Ga. - Nancy Dossett died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999 in a North Georgia hospital. She was 54.
She was retired from Whitfield County School System as a school teacher with 24 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Adie and Gertrude Dossett and sister Janice Patterson.
Survivors include a nephew, Jamey Patterson, Lexington, Ky.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. in Roselawn cemetery in Rosspoint, Ky., with the Rev. Daniel Williams officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Sarah Edwards
ATLANTA, Ga. - Sarah Joann Edwards died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in a hospital there. She was 77.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwards Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Nelson, Chattanooga, and Jimmy Edwards, Atlanta; one daughter, Gail Parsons, Marietta; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Douglas Chapel of J. Allen Couch Funeral Home in Douglasville, Ga., with the Rev. Wesley Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
Felton Brown
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Felton Brown died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at his home. He was 64.
Arrangements will be announced by Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home in Ringgold.
Jerry Cornett II
TUNNEL HILL, Ga. - Jerry Woodrow Cornett II died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Cornett, Dalton, Ga.; three sons, Jerry III, Carlos and William Cornett, Tunnel Hill; one daughter, Annette Dawson, Dalton; three brothers, Eddie, Ralph and Ray Cornett, Dalton; two sisters, Bobby Bishop, Dalton, and Zenalee Graves, North Carolina; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Tunnel Hill.
Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
Bess Matthews
TRION, Ga. - Bess Matthews died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 87.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Morehead and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Old LaFayette Cemetery.
Ruth Oliver
McCAYSVILLE, Ga. - Ruth Oliver died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999.
She was the mother of the late Sharon Boggs.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Oliver; four sons, Danny and Steve Oliver, Morganton, Ga., Ted Oliver, Marietta, Ga., and Lonnie Oliver, Dial, Ga.; one daughter, Sondra Castle, Lawrenceville, Ga.; two brothers, Tom Hyde, Copperhill, Tenn., and Eddie James Hyde, Chicago; two sisters, Betty Lou Edwards, Blue Ridge, Ga., and Mary Nell Hyde, Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest German officiating.
Burial will be in Copper Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
G.T. Smith
McCAYSVILLE, Ga. - G.T. "Red' Smith of Wolf Creek, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999 at his home.
He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church where he served as a Lector. He was also a member of Wolf Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Sruvivors include his wife, Margaret Smith; four children, Glen Smith, Wolf Creek; Debra Murnan, West Palm Beach, Fla., Greg Smith, Hot House, Ga., and Randy Smith, Elkton, Md.; two brothers, Thomas W. Smith, Torrington, Conn., and Bruce Smith, Gramby, Conn.; one sister, Carol Ann Abraham, Torington; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Hostettler officiating.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home, McCaysville.
William Spada
RINGGOLD, Ga. - William Joseph Spada died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 83.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home Battlefield Parkway.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flossia Stafford
CRANDALL, Ga. - Flossia Brewer Stafford died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at her home. She was 92.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stafford Sr., and two sons, Joe and Bill Stafford Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Cloer, Marietta, Ga., and Barbara Byrd, Mount Pleasant, N.C.; two sons, Jack and Richard Stafford, Crandall; half sister, Faye Quade, Decatur, Ga.; stepsister, Idell Tate, Crandall; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Chatsworth with brother Edwin Puckett officiating.
Burial wll be in Summerour Cemetery.
