LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Ellena Lieker Pettigrew died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 87.
A memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. at LaFayette Funeral Home with Dr. Woody Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service.
Madolyn Ward
RINGGOLD, Ga. - Madolyn Virginia Ward died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at her home. She was 80.
She was employed by the University of Chattanooga as a PBX operator for more than eight years and was a retired nurse from Moccasin Bend Hospital after 13 years.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church Woodmore and was active in the Joy Sunday School Class.
She was the widow of Joe Ward.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Johnson, Chattanooga and Doris Kittle, Ringgold; one son, Terry Lee Ward, Nashville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Farris and the Rev. Billy Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruby Chadwick
Ruby V. Chadwick of Flintstone, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, in an area nursing facility. She was 81.
She was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga Valley area, a member of Lookout Baptist Church and the widow of Robert L. Chadwick.
Survivors include one son, Robert Larry Chadwick, Berea, Ky.; one daughter, Kathy Humphrey, Fairbanks, Alaska; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lookout Cemetery.
Arrangements are by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home, Chickamauga, Ga.

Cleola Adams Johnson of Rossville, Ga., and formerly of Summerville, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 54.

Patricia Johnston Patricia Lemlyn Johnston died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999.
A memorial service will be held today at 7 p.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wolfe cemetery in Oppelo, Ark.

CHATSWORTH, Ga. - The Rev. Donald Howard 'Don' Anderson Sr. died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, in Fannin County, Ga. He was 53.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Stamper and the Rev. Bill Phelps officiating.
Burial will be in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church cemetery in Murray County.

ELLIJAY, Ga. - Amos D. Beasley died Monday. Jan. 11, 1999, in North Georgia Medical Center. He was 82.
Survivors include two daughters, Sybil Johnson and Edna Southerland, both of Ellijay; two sons, Troy Beasley, Chatsworth, Ga., and David Beasley, Ellijay; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mary Castleberry
CHATSWORTH, Ga. - Mary Castleberry died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at a relative's home. She was 92.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth with the Rev. Charles Carnes officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Wanda Edwards
LaFAYETTE, Ga. - Wanda Lee Vanderford Edwards died Monday, Jan. 11, 1999, at her home. She was 73.
She was the widow of Richard Phillip Edwards.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Collie, LaFayette; two sisters, Ardis Shepp, Lakeland, Fla., and Ginger Marlow, Jacksonville, Fla.; one half-sister, Shelly Burgett, Durango, Colo.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Trion, Ga., with the Rev. King Oehmig officiating.
There will be no visitation at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
John Matthews
TRION, Ga. - John Franklin Matthews died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, in an area medical center. He was 52.
He was a native of Hamilton County, Tenn., a son of the late John A. Matthews.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Matthews; one daughter, Rhonda Sneed, Trion; one son, Franklin Matthews, Trion; his mother, Ann Lee Austin, Chickamauga, Ga.; one brother, Bud Matthews, Tennessee; and four grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2:30 p .m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. George Ashburn and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
