Dot Mama has been telling all of her family that she was ready to go home. On Sunday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2003, Gerald walked into her room and realized that the time was a hand for Dot Mama to make her departure from this world. He walked over to her bedside and told her "Mama you go on, I will be all right." She just needed that confirmation from him that he would be all right. The around 2:30 p.m. Dot Mama took her wings and quietly and peacefully flew away with the angels to be at rest.
