Mrs. AnnBonney Kinnear
Mrs. AnnBonney Kinnear, 68, of Morrisville, Pa., died Saturday, on a cruise ship in Maui, Hawaii, while on vacation.
Mrs. Kinnear was born
in Flemington, N.J., on September 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Robert and Irma Apgar Hall. She resided in Flemington until 1967 when she moved to Morrisville, Pa. She was a 1947 Graduate of Flemington High school and started her advertising career with the Star-Ledger in Newark, N.J. and in 1965 went to Lewis Advertising Agency in Newark, specializing in nationwide sales of recruitment classified advertising. In 1991 she was promoted to executive vice president at Lewis Advertising and retired three years ago. In 1963-64 she was active in the Goldwater Association of Hunterdon County, N.J.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Kinnear; a son, Richard Cole of LaGrange; a stepson, Robert T. Kinnear of Philadelphia, Pa.; a step-daughter, Barbara Addis of Bensalem, Pa; two brothers, Robert A. Hall of Flemington and Richard hall of Sergeantsville, N.J.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home at 147 Main Street in Flemington. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery
in Newtown, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Arlene Owens
Mrs. Arlene Grace Owens, 63, of 206 21st St., in Phenix City, Ala., died Thursday at Columbus Medical Center.
Mrs. Owens was born
September 24, 1934, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of the late Reginald Sr. and Grace Wahl Barr. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1957.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Marion Owens of Phenix City; four daughters, Donna Allen of Carrollton, Kathy Bockman and Christina Miller, both of Phenix City, and Deanna Leigh Smith of LaGrange; a son, Earl Owens Jr. of Phenix City; two sisters Georgia Eiland of Vero Beach, Fla., and Barbara Pritchett of Columbus; two brothers, Reginald Barr of Montgomery, Ala., and Robert Barr of Columbus; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 this afternoon at Grace Baptist Church in Columbus with the Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lizzie Mae Reese
Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Mae Reese of 906 Kelley St., will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church at 506 Hamilton St. The Rev. J.W. Russell Jr. will officiate with burial in Southview Cemetery.
Mrs. Reese, the widow of the late Henry Reese, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Mattie Hall) Robinson. She was a very faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Senior Choir and the Missionary Society.
Survivors include devoted cousins, Mrs. Lucille (Bennie) Adams, Mrs. Laura (Henry) Hurston, Roger Robinson, Melvin Robinson, Roy Robinson, Mrs. Minnie (Joseph) McCord, all of LaGrange, Mrs. Della Mae Ferrell of West Point and Emma Robinson of Long Beach, Calif.; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Doris (Frank) Bagley, Mrs. Linda Washington and Mrs. Carol E. Washington , all of Lanett, Ala., Mrs. Hattie Washington of Valley, Ala., and Mrs. Sarah (Lamar) Madden of Kleen, Texas ; 13 step-grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Mary Rose (Thomas) Goss and family; and a number of other cousins and friends and a special niece, Porchia Hurston.

Mrs. Rena T. McMillian died Wednesday at Bethesda Nursing Home in Fayetteville, N.C.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church on Dunn Road in Fayetteville.
Local survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lorene T. Byrd of Hogansville; two nephews, Olin Byrd III of Hogansville and Maurice Byrd of Newnan; and two nieces, Lynette Byrd of LaGrange and Patrice Benson of Auburn, Ala.

Mr. John Bonner of 312 Ware Street died Friday at West Georgia Medical Center.

Miss Eleanor Wheeler
Miss Eleanor “Cookie” Wheeler, 80, former resident of Amberwood Apartments, died Friday at Carrollton Manor Nursing Home, Carrollton, following a lengthy illness.
Miss Wheeler, born
November 25, 1917 in Marion, Va., was the daughter of the late Louis Curtis and Josephine Cleaveland Evans Wheeler. She retired from Linden Vogue Dress Shop in Daytona Beach, Fla., and had lived in LaGrange from 1981 until moving to Carrollton in 1995. Miss Wheeler was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Gerri Jones of LaGrange and Larry Mercer, of Atlanta and a brother-in-law, Clarence M. Mercer, of LaGrange.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Shadowlawn Cemetery
with the Rev. Max McCord officiating.

Miss Juanita Cannon
The funeral service for Miss Juanita Cannon of 939 Burks Chapel Road, formerly of 206 Keyes Street, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Burks Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Felton James will officiate with burial in Southview Cemetery.
Miss Cannon was a native of Troup County. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gerry (Augusta) Cannon of Newnan; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Cannon of LaGrange; two sisters, Magline Gilbert and Lillian Knight, both of LaGrange; three brothers, Walter L. McCollough, Robert Cannon and George (Earnestine) Cannon, all of LaGrange; a brother-in-law, Robert Stamps of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren, Cheri Ransom and Antonio Johnson; an uncle, Addis Cannon of Flint, Mich; nieces, nephews and special friends, Virginia Render and family and Christine Hanner and family.
The family will be at the home of her mother, Mrs. Maggie Cannon, at 819 Burks Cahpel Road and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 until 8:30.

Mrs. Adell Ingram
Mrs. Adell Ingram, 67, a former resident of Wood Glen Apartments, died this morning at West Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Ingram was born
February 2, 1930 in Etowah County, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Tillman Elisha and Lillie Belle Ray Ingram. She had lived in LaGrange since 1950 and was retired from Southern Bell and a member of First Assembly of God.
Survivors include a brother, William Marvin Ingram of LaGrange.

Mrs. Grace Carter
Mrs. Grace S. Carter, 82, of 107 Beechwood Circle died Friday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Carter, born
September 2, 1915 in Columbus, was the daughter of the late Jesse F. and Mattie L. Ryls Storey. She had lived in LaGrange for the past two years and had lived in Conyers prior to moving to LaGrange. Mrs. Carter had lived most of her life in Columbus where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and the widow of Marvin A. Carter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Mulford of LaGrange and Judy Morrell and her husband, David, of Seale, Ala.; a son, Joel Carter and his wife, JoAnne, of LaGrange; two sisters, Georgia Storey and Mary Harrison, both of LaGrange; a brother, Frank Storey and his wife, Sally, of Conyers; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Carter will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Parkhill Cemetery
in Columbus with the Rev. Gary Tankersley officiating.
The family will be at the residence of her daughter, Mary Mulford, 107 Beechwood Circle and will have visitation Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary’s LaGrange Chapel.
Flowers are appreciated, but those desiring may make a donation to the American Lung Association in memory of Mrs. Carter.

Mrs. Lola Civers
The funeral services for Mrs. Lola Civers of 117 Fendig Street will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Leete Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Thompkins will officiate with burial in Southview Cemetery.
Mrs. Civers, a native of Troup County, was the daughter of the late Joe and Florence Rivers and the wife of the late James “Dude” Civers. She was a homemaker and a member of Leete Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Louise Ward of LaGrange; a brother, Leroy (Mable) Rivers of East Point; her niece, whom she raised as a daughter, Betty Wright of Albany and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
The family will be at the home of her niece, Etrusha Rivers at 209 Fendig Street.

George Funderburk Jr.
George William Funderburk Jr., 79, of West Point died Saturday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Funderburk was born
June 3, 1918 in Manchester, the son of Flora Bell Funderburk and the late George W. Funderburk Sr. He moved at an early age to LaGrange where he attended public schools, graduating from LaGrange High School. He was an honor graduate of North Carolina State University College of Textiles in 1942. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order and Phi Psi professional textile fraternity. He was a veteran of World War II, earning battle stars while serving in Air Sea Rescue with the 13th Air Force from the New Hebrides to the Philippines in the Pacific theater of operations.He worked 22 years with Uniroyal's Textile Division, followed by a long association with West Point Manufacturing Co. and was with West Point-Pepperell from 1960 to his retirement as division manager of quality assurance in 1983. He was active in many industry-related organizations, including the Textile Industrial Engineering Association, Textile Quality Control Association, American Society of Quality Control, and the America Society of Testing and Materials.
Past civic community activities include Hogansville Church Building Fund chairman, president of Methodist Men, Methodist district stewards, vice chairman of Troup County Red Cross, vice chairman of McIntosh District of Boy Scouts and lieutenant governor of the 2nd Division of Georgia Kiwanis. Currently, he was a member of the First Methodist Church of West Point. He formerly was a member of Encore Investment Club and West Point Rotary Club.
Other survivors include his wife, Margaret Dodd Funderburk, West Point; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and W. Ennis O’Neal, Marietta, and Frances and Stephen W. Ward, Salisburg, N.C.; a sister, Sara Funderburk, LaGrange; two grandchildren, William Ennis O’Neal, Marietta, and Mary Elizabeth Ward, Salisburg.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at West Point First United Methodist Church, with Drs. James N. Thompson and William Burch officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the West Point First United Methodist Church.

George Lakes of Alvista Nursing Home in Greenville died Sunday.

Mrs. Ella Jo Blackburn
Mrs. Ella Jo Blackburn, 58, of Valley, Ala., died Saturday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Blackburn was born
May 24, 1939 in Clay County, Ala. She was retired as a teacher in the LaGrange City School System and was employed by Charter Federal Savings and Loan in West Point. She was chairperson of the Day Care Steering Committee at First Baptist Church in Shawmut. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, West Point Pilot Club and First Baptist Church of Shawmut.
Survivors include her husband, Danny L. Blackburn, Valley; a sister, Joyce D. Walden, Columbus; a brother, John Davis, Ashland, Ala.; four nieces, a nephew, a great niece and a great nephew.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Shawmut, with Dr. Jerome King, the Rev. Clayton Scott and Chaplain Gerald Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church of Shawmut or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Lois Estelle Henry
Mrs. Lois Estelle Henry, 85, of Newman died Saturday at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Henry was born
Feb. 14, 1912 in Mississippi and was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Henry and two sons, Danny and Charles Randall Henry.
Survivors include: five daughters, Gwenda Boone, June Hill, and Patricia Robinson, all of Newnan, Jackie Ponder, Moreland, and Martha Sumrall, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at the McKoon Funeral Home with the Revs. Don McGaha and Ken Formby officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery.
Charlie A. Hunt
Charlie A. Hunt, 76, of 4133 Hamilton Road, died Monday at West Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness.
