Nicholas Gibbons

Services for infant Nicholas Gibbons will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in White Springs Baptist Church in Twiggs County with burial in the church cemetery. Nicholas died Saturday, June 17, 2000.

Survivors include his parents, Valerie and Bernard Gibbons; brothers, JaHarion Parker and Bernard Parker, both of Macon; maternal grandparents, Mable K. and James C. Parker of Dry Branch; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Johnny Lee Gibbons of Macon; great-grandmother, Roberta Gibbons of Macon.

Esther Gibson

VIDALIA - Services for Esther Winge Gibson will be held at 2 p.m. today in Murchison Funeral Home with burial in Pinecrest Cemetery. Gibson. 93, died Monday, June 19, 2000. A native of Toombs County, she was retired from Page's Department Store. She was the widow of Dick Gibson and a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia and the Fidellis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughter Jean Watson of Vidalia; sisters La Vera Thompson of Mt. Vernon, Clara Sosko of Vidalia, Jackie McElroy of Union City; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Mollie Horne

HELENA - Services for Mollie H. Horne will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Lowe's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Harrelson Cemetery, Wheeler County. Horne, 88, died Monday, June 19, 2000. A native of Wheeler County, she was the daughter of the late Bradley and Janie Watson Harrelson. She was a member of Community Church of God and a homemaker. She was the widow of Troy William Horne.

Survivors include her children Lemmie Horne of Alamo, Wauweeze Dennis, Randall Horne and Bobby Horne, all of Helena, Bernard Horne and Ralph Horne, both of Milan, Mary Sue Purvis and Joan Brown, both of Alamo and Ruby Towns of McRae; 28 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Lowe's Funeral Home.

Harold Jones

UNADILLA - Services for Harold J. Jones will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Snow United Methodist Church, Unadilla, with burial in the church cemetery. Jones, 60, died Monday, June 19, 2000. A native of Dooly County, he was the son of the late Gordon Jones. He was a member of Snow United Methodist Church and lived in Unadilla all of his life.

Survivors include his mother, Bernice P. Jones of Byronville; brother and sisters Ronnie Jones of St. Simons Island, Ellen Parker, Brenda Thomas and Merle West, all of Unadilla, and Ann Culpepper of Griffin.

The family may be contacted at the Jones residence on New Street. Bowen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of the arrangements.

Trevor Kelley

Services for Trevor James Kelley will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Kelley, 18, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. Born in Catawba County, N.C., he lived in Macon most of his life. He was a member of South Side United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Windsor Academy. He was preceded in death by three of his grandparents, James Doyle Kelley Sr. and Thomas and Edythe Whitchurch. He was employed by Kroger in Perry as a stock clerk.

Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Corrine Kelley of Macon; and his grandmother, Louise Kelley of Macon.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 3514 Jones Road.

John A. Kemp

JESUP - Graveside services for John Allen Kemp were held Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Buckhorn Cemetery in Dexter. Kemp, 83, died Thursday, June 15, 2000. Born in Laurens County, he was a retired barber, a former construction worker and a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Crossroads Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Pearl Kemp; children Jacquelyn Ash, Joanne Thomas, Melba Prince, Tracy Reed and Raymond Kemp, all of Macon; stepchildren Shirley Sheffield, Buddy McReady, Bennie McReady, Herman McReady and Lamar McReady, all of Screven, Genell Roberson of Jesup, Linda Hughes of Ludowici, and Wayne McReady of Meldrim; 45 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Gordon-Harrison Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Hillery Logue

DUBLIN - Services for Hillery Logue will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with burial in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Logue, 71, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. A lifelong resident of Laurens County, he was the son of the late Asa Lorenza and Lugene Othelia Peavy Logue Sr. He was retired from the Army where he received the Korean Service Medal, Purple Heart, Occupational Medal in Japan and Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of Pine Hill Forest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gearlene D. Logue; his children Doyle Logue and Marie Shores of Orlando, Fla.; stepchildren Richard Guinn of Warner Robins, Annette Darsey of Dublin, Vernon Guinn, Quinton Guinn and Albert Guinn, all of Alamo; bother and sisters Jack Logue of Warner Robins, Bessie Lindsey of Tennille and Kelli Bell Duggan of Sandersville; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Stanley Funeral Home Inc.

Mary McGarity

REYNOLDS - Services for Mary Frances McGarity will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson. McGarity, 90, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. The widow of James P. McGarity, she was a native of Dublin and had lived in Dawson most of her life. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Dawson,

Survivors include her children James P. McGarity of Louisville, Ga., John A. McGarity of Reynolds, Guy McGarity of Tupelo, Miss., Bobby McGarity of Navarre, Fla., Faye Milner of Cleveland, Ga. and Patsy Jackson of Vass, N.C.; brother and sisters, Shelton S. Mackey of Cobb, Annie Dixon and Julia Herrington, both of Dublin; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Goddard Funeral Home of Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylor County Health Care, P.O. Box 2400, Butler 31006.

Annie Middlebrooks

VIENNA - Service for Annie Mae Middlebrooks will be at 1 p.m. today in Vienna City Cemetery. Middlebrooks, 100, died Saturday, June 17, 2000. A native of Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh N. and Sara Ward. She was the widower of Calvin A. Middlebrooks. A member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, she was a resident of Dothan, Ala.

Survivors include her children V.C. Middlebrooks and Johnny Middlebrooks, both of Dothan, Ala.; bothers and sisters Carl Ward and Earl Ward, both of Adel, Gladys Purvis of Dublin and Pearl Castleberry of Moultrie; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Fund, 1231 Fortner St., Dothan, Ala. 36301 or any charity of the donor's choice. Ward-Wilson Funeral Home of Dothan, Ala. has charge of the arrangements. Bowen-NeSmith Funeral Home has charge of the local arrangements.

Johnny Moffett

Services for Johnny Lee "Crunch" Moffett will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Jones Brothers Eastlawn Memorial Chapel with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Moffett, 51, died Friday, June 16, 2000. Born in Macon, he was the son of the late James Moffett. He was educated in Bibb County public schools and was a retired truck driver with the Macon Beer Co. He was a member of Griffin Gift Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cecielia Moffett; children Alicia Moffett, Rosetta Stafford, Atravia Williams and Aundre Carswell, all of Macon; stepchildren Selenthia Stafford and Yolanda Stafford, both of Macon; sisters and brothers Doris Cornelius of Savannah, Angela Orr, Audrey Moffett, James Moffett, Willie Moffett, Samuel Moffett, Kenneth Moffett, Ronnie Moffett and Otis Moffett, all of Macon; mother, Myrtle G. Moffett; and nine grandchildren.

William Ridley

Services for William Thomas "Billy" Ridley will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery. Ridley, 15, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. Born in Macon, he lived here all of his life. He attended Avondale Baptist Church and was a student at Southeast High School. He was active in Junior R.O.T.C. and loved sports, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his mother, JoAnn C. Ridley and stepfather, Donald Hall, both of Macon; brothers and sisters, Frank Anderson of Youngstown, Ohio, Samuel Ridley of Macon, Luaquette Rini of Florida and Renne Ridley of Waycross.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to JoAnn Ridley, 8410 Hawkinsville Road, Lot 37, Macon 31216.

Bobby Smith

MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Bobby A. Smith will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of All Faiths with burial in Pine Ridge Church Cemetery. Smith died Thursday, June 15, 2000. He was a native of Baldwin County.

Survivors include his daughter Caitlin Brianna Smith of Milledgeville; his parents, Bobby Smith and Sherry Richards, both of Milledgeville; his stepmother, Betty Smith of Milledgeville; brothers and sisters Georgio Richards, Quandrell Smith, Shanoca Smith, Devonshay Smith and Shaiquay Smith, all of Milledgeville; paternal grandparents, Joe and Albertine Smith Jr. and Grace Solomon, all of Milledgeville; paternal great-grandmother Marie Tarwick of Milledgeville.

Wilson Thomas

DUBLIN - Services for the Rev. Wilson Thomas will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Rice Hill Baptist Church with burial in Moore Station Cemetery. Thomas, 50, died Friday, June 1, 2000. He was the son of the late Felton Pross and was pastor of Zion Baptist Church and assistant pastor of Montford Grove. He was retired from the Carl Vinson Medical Center and was a veteran. He was the owner of Wilson's Do It Yourself Pest Control.

Survivors include his children Angelique Thomas, Elliott Thomas and Emmanuel Thomas, all of Dublin, Cantina Holder of Brunswick; stepchildren Andrea Gibson and Jessica Storr, both of Albany; mother, Doretha Charleston of Dublin; sister and brothers Shirley Smith, Nathaniel Charleston, Ellis Charleston, Eddie Griffin, all of Dublin, James Labor of Madison; and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Dudley Funeral Home, and may be contacted at the home of Doretha Charleston, 713 Brantley Homes. The body will be placed in the church one hour before services.

Lester Usry

ELLAVILLE - Services for Lester Harold Usry will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Ellaville City Cemetery. Usry, 73, died Monday, June 19, 2000. Retired from the Army, he had served 20 years. He served in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He was retired from civil service at N.A.S. in Jacksonville, Fla. He returned to Ellaville in 1988 and was a member of V.F.W. in Albany and a member of the American Legion Post #191 in Ellaville. He was a member of the Sheriff's Association, the United States Golf Association and the Disabled American Veteran Post #38, Albany.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Usry; brothers and sisters Marvin Eugene Usry, Bobby Lynn Usry, Mildred Dobbs and Brenda Todd, all of Ellaville, and Kathryn Thomas of Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Memorials may be made to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 100 Mill Creek Road, Americus 31709.

Lyman Watson

MARIETTA - Services for Lyman Franklin Watson Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. today in Northside Christian Church and at 2 p.m. today in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Caldwell with burial in the church cemetery. Watson, 67, died Sunday, June 18, 2000. A native of Orange County, Fla., he was retired from AAA Cooper Motor Lines. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Northside Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Watson; son Lyman Watson, Jr. of Ducula; stepsons Harrell Davies of Jackson, Richard Davies of Red Oak, Iowa; brother and sister Daniel Watson of Moultrie, Mary Gross of New Castle, Ind.; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
