Betty Dixon
MARTINEZ - Services for Betty Johnson Dixon will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Poteet Funeral Home, Augusta, with burial in Westover Memorial Park. Dixon died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Jack L. Dixon Sr.; children, J. Lamar Dixon of Milledgeville and Kim Dixon Hall of Martinez; mother, Edith J. Johnson of Millen; sisters, Isabella J. Moxley of Augusta and Frances J. Deas of North Augusta, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Lorene Duncan
UVALDA - Services for Lorene Duncan will be at 2 p.m. today in Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Chapel with burial in Mosley Cemetery. Duncan died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. She was a homemaker and member of Charlotte United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Janice Miller and Randy Duncan of Uvalda; and two grandchildren.

J.S. Geoghogan III
MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for J.S. Geoghogan III will be at 11 a.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn. Geoghogan, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998. He was a retired farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ashburn First Baptist Church and Sycamore Masonic Lodge 210.

Survivors include his children, Randy Geoghogan and Susan McCard, both of Ashburn, and Larry Geoghogan of Titusville, Fla.; brothers and sister, H.L. Geoghogan of Ashburn, Jim Geoghogan of Tampa, Fla., and Doris McDaniel of Macon; and four grandchildren.

Perry Funeral Home in Ashburn has charge of arrangements.

Melba Hardwick
Services for Melba Rowland Hardwick will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, north gate. Hardwick, 77, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. The widow of Kelly Hardwick Jr., she was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and attended Cross Keys United Methodist Church. She was a member of Cross Keys Lions Club.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Hardwick III of Bartow, Fla., and Michael Hardwick of Gray; brothers and sisters, Dan Rowland and Mary Slaughter, both of Macon, Harry Rowland and Shirley Palmer, both of Franklin, N.C., Sam Rowland of Las Vegas, Nev., Jackie Sergenti of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Nancy Sharpshire of Jackson, Miss.; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home and may be contacted at 3617 Jeffersonville Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Keys Lions Club.

Riley Harris Jr.
FORT VALLEY - Services for Riley Harris Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Edwards Funeral Home with burial in Willowlake Cemetery. Harris, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998. He was a member of Central Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Willie Harris of Belle Glade, Fla.; and sister, Iona Harris of Belle Glade.

Dave Higinbotham
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Dave J. Higinbotham will be at 3 p.m. today in Broad Street Baptist Church with burial in Orange Hill Cemetery. Higinbotham, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Wyl Higinbotham; children, Patty Nutt and Lewis Higinbotham, both of Eastman, Mike Higinbotham of Ellijay and Tommy Grinstead of Hawkinsville; sister, Irene Crowe of Eastman; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 1 Pettey Drive. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman and Clark Funeral Home have charge of arrangements.

Martha Jones
EASTMAN - Services for Martha Jones will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Mount Moriah Baptist Church with burial in Eastman City Cemetery. Jones, 59, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998. She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and senior choir and was a Sunday School teacher and missionary. She was the daughter of the late Horace Cadwell and Mary Love. A beautician and owner and operator of Kelli's Sandwich Shop, she also worked at the Dodge County Courthouse and was retired from Stuckey's Corp. She was the widow of Richard Jones.

Survivors include her children, Debra Dixon, Mary Brown, Judy Tuff, Shirley Jones, Laura Etheridge, John Tuff and Johnny Tuff, all of Eastman; sisters, Lula Wilcox of Eastman and Pamela Cadwell of Detroit; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family may be contacted at 317 Smith St., Eastman. The body will be in the church at 2:30 p.m. Hamilton-Burch Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

M.F. McCormick Jr.
HAYNEVILLE - Services for M.F. McCormick Jr. will be at 11 a.m. today in Perry Memorial Gardens. McCormick, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred McCormick; children, Jeannette Carignan of Westfield, Mass., and Betty Confer of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Laura Smith of Fort Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Bryde McDaniel
DUBLIN - Services for Bryde Mullis McDaniel will be at 11 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. McDaniel, 92, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. She was a retired principal and former boys basketball coach at Cottondale School in Eastman. She was a member of Dublin First Baptist Church and former pianist at Eastman First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Nannie Daniels of Eastman.

The family may be contacted at 204 Forest Lake Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bryde McDaniel Scholarship Fund, c/o Reggie Sheffield, Citizens Bank & Trust Co., Fifth Avenue, Eastman 31023. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman has charge of arrangements.

Duncan McRae Jr.
MOUNT VERNON - Services for Duncan Alexander McRae Jr. will be at 3 p.m. today in Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church with burial in Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery. McRae, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was director of Mount Vernon Bank, where he was president and chairman of the board. He was a member of Vidalia Rotary Club. He was a member, elder, clerk of the session and treasurer of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rose McRae; and brother, Harold McRae Sr. of Vidalia.

Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service in Vidalia has charge of arrangements.

J. Frank Miller
WARNER ROBINS - Services for J. Frank Miller will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church. Miller died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and DAV.

Survivors include his companion, Mary Sanders; and sisters, Mildred Gagne of Ocala, Fla., and June Ritch of Macon.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Hart's Mortuary, Macon. Memorials may be made to Vista Care, 750 Baconsfield Drive, Suite 115, Macon 31211.

L.Z. NeSmith
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for L.Z. NeSmith will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Broad Street Baptist Church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, with Masonic rites. NeSmith, 71, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. He was a retired self-employed oil jobber. He was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church and the finance committee and was Sunday School superintendent and pulpit committee chairman. He was past president of Hawkinsville Rotary Club, member of Masonic Lodge in Cochran. He was past Citizen of the Year and Man of the Year for Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty NeSmith; children, Lane NeSmith of Macon, David NeSmith, Len NeSmith and Kevin NeSmith, all of Hawkinsville; five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Clark Funeral Home and may be contacted at Route 3, Hawkinsville.

Tommy Nolan
ASHBURN - Services for Tommy Nolan will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn. Nolan, 46, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. He was formerly employed at Golden Peanut Co.

Survivors include his sister and brother, Mary Ann Nolan of Ashburn and Cecil Nolan of Jacksonville, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn.

Martha Peacock
EASTMAN - Services for Martha Lou Peacock will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Southerland Funeral Chapel with entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Peacock, 78, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998. She was a seamstress. She was a homemaker and member of Mount Ararat Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Doris Simmons of Hawkinsville and James Peacock of Eastman; sister, Gertrude Ivey of Macon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight in the chapel and may be contacted at 904 Wood Valley Drive. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

William Phillips Sr.
McINTYRE - Services for William Lamar Phillips Sr. will be at 2 p.m. today in White Columns Funeral Home, Gordon, with burial in Ramah Cemetery. Phillips, 58, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. A retired mechanic, he was a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Phillips; children, Lisa Schneider, William Phillips Jr. and Kerry Phillips, all of McIntyre; brothers, Willie Phillips, George Phillips, Herschel Phillips, Herman Phillips and Art Phillips, all of Wrightsville; half sisters, Pauline Hammock of Florida, Mary Lord of Dublin and Lorine Copeland of Wrightsville; stepsister, Ralphene Harris of Irwinton; and two grandchildren.
