DANIELS

Ollie Ree Beckham Daniels, 90, of Waynesville died Friday morning, April 24, 2009 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Wrightsville, her parents were Joe B. Beckham and Omie Dell Christiff Beckham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Daniels Sr.; two daughters, Ellen Chavis and Mary Esther Daniels; a grandchild, Jimmy Chavis; a great-grandchild, Brittany Daniels; five brothers; and two sisters.

Daniels was a homemaker and attended the Church of God. She had lived in Camden County for 50 years.

She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Freddie Clemons of Swainsboro, Wiley and Patty Daniels of Woodbine, Annie and Herman Moore of Midville, C.L. and Karen Daniels of Woodbine, Joe and Debbie Daniels of Waynesville, Russell Daniels of Waynesville and Alice and Charles Anderson of Midville; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Homeward Cemetery in Camden County, with Rev. Raymond Drury officiating.

Pallbearers will be the nephews of the deceased.

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.

Frye Funeral Home of Nahunta (formerly Chambless-Frye) was in charge of arrangements.

LOVEALL

Oral R. Loveall, 88, of St. Marys passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.

Loveall had resided in Camden County for the past seven months. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during World War II and was a member of St. Nicholas Park Christian Church in Jacksonville, Fla.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Loveall of St. Marys, and a daughter, Gloria Wilson of Kingsland.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

JACKSON

Machinist Mate Chief (Submarine Service) Michael G. Jackson, United States Navy, of Kingsland passed away Friday, May 22, 2009 at Kings Bay. Jackson was born March 2, 1959, in Aberdeen, Md., and had resided in Camden County for the past nine years. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1990 and reported to the USS Maryland (SSBN738) (Blue) in March 2008. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Jackson of Kingsland; daughters, Angelina Nash of Folkston and Gloria Edwards of Valdosta; a son, Ansel Jackson of Kingsland; father, Edwin Jackson of Kerrville, Texas ; brother, Robert Jackson of Maryland; sister, Cynthia Gensman of Texas ; and step-grandchild, Alyssa Nash.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita T. Jackson.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30 from the Church of God of Prophecy with full military honors. Pastor Randall Dockery will officiate.

GREGOIRE

Roger Gregoire, 90, of St. Marys, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at his residence. Gregoire was born in Lawrence, Mass., on June 30, 1918. He had resided in Camden County for the past six years and was retired from the federal government. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In Rochester, N.H., he was in the Knights of Columbus, VITA, and served on the church council.

A funeral mass was held Thursday, May 28 from Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 11 a.m., with Father Gabe Cummings officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Gregoire of St. Marys; children, Richard (Mildred) Gregoire, Alice (Robert) Sawyer, Judith (Rodney) Clark, Ginny (E. Paul) Brandis and Carol (Joel) Wagner; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

GLOVER

Carletha Fields Glover, 73, of Woodbine passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla., following a lengthy illness.

She was born to the late Buford and Ethel Mae Roberts Fields on Jan. 11, 1936, in Woodbine. Mrs. Glover was a member of Carnagie United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Corrine Hanford and Clara Taylor, and four brothers, Almond, Lando, Roscoe and Jerry Fields.

Survivors include her husband, Arie Glover of Woodbine.; seven daughters, Carolyn Anderson of Kingsland, Willie Ann Glover of Woodbine, Connie (Phillip) Foster of Kingsland, Ethel Glover of Woodbine, Diana (Albert) West of Kingsland, Betty (Craig) Alderman of Woodbine, Alfreda Thomas of Bamberg, S.C.; four sons, Marshall (Sabrina) Glover of Woodbine, John (Winifred) Glover of Woodbine, Emanuel Glover of Woodbine, Arie (Selma) Glover Jr. of Miami, Fla.; four sisters, Mae Pearl Stokes of Woodbine, Alice (Carl) Waye of Woodbine, Mamie L. Hill of Woodbine, and Isabelle Beckham of Brunswick; a brother, Joe Fields, Woodbine; five sisters-in-law, Ethel Glover, Willie Mae Glover and Ira Lee Fields, all of Kingsland, Katie Lee Fields of Jacksonville, Fla., and Connie Fields of Brunswick; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no wake /visitation. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at Carnagie United Methodist Church, 987 Kinlaw Road, Kingsland.

Final arrangements entrusted to Royal Funeral Home Inc., Jesup.

COCHRAN

Claude E. Cochran, 77, of St. Marys passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at his residence.

Cochran was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Pocahontas, Va., to the late Lula and John Cochran, and had resided in Camden County since 1994. He retired from the United States Postal Service with 21 years or service, and was retired from the U.S. Army with 23 years of service, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Arrington Cochran, and brothers, Lilburn F. Cochran and John W. Cochran.

Survivors include sisters, Ruth Stallard of Dacula, Maizelle Scott of Kennesaw and Billie Lewis of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, James J. Cochran of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

An inurnment will be held at a later date in Arlington Cemetery.

MOORE

Richard Moore, 77, of St. Marys, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his residence.

A native of Rock Island, Ill., he had resided in Camden County for the past 25 years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 23 years of service.

Moore is survived by a daughter, Pamela Sue Higgins (Tom) of Eustis, Fla.; a brother, Lou Moore; and grandchild, Jesse Radliff.

Graveside services will be held at the Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill., with full military honors.

GLOVER

Carletha Fields Glover, 73, of Woodbine passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla., following a lengthy illness.

ELLIS

Marvin Ellis, 52, of Kingsland, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, Georgia.

Marvin was born Nov. 18, 1956 to Naomi Glover and raised by Commie Lee Spead Sr. as his father. Marvin received his education in the public schools of Camden County. He was employed as an automotive mechanic. One brother, Commie Lee Spead Jr. preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Stephanie Glover; stepchildren, Marquita and Shayla Hamilton, Jacksonville, FL, Georgia Scanapeko and Dontae Sullivan, Kingsland, GA; mother, Naomi Spead, Kingsland, GA; sisters, Theresa Glover, Woodbine, GA, Gwen (Jim) Banks, Kingsland, GA, Cassandra (James) Cox, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nadine (Ulysses) McCrea, Hollywood, FL, Sherlma (Willie) Watkins, Kingsland, GA and Karen Spead, St. Marys, GA; brothers, Cornelius Glover, Efferene Spead, Cornell Spead, Kevin Spead, all of Kingsland, GA, and Kenneth (Stalina) Spead, Sebring, FL; two aunts, Theodoshia Glover, Kingsland, GA and Louise Lafontaine, Woodbine, GA; great aunt, Willie Mae Glover; great uncle, Arie (Carletha) Glover; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories, an extended family of one brother, two sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins; special cousin, Calvin Roberts; special friend, Catfish; a host of great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles and cousins preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Georgia Avenue Church of God, Kingsland. A visitation was held Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Sunset Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsland.

EDENFIELD

Deborah Lynn Edenfield, 54, passed away May 18, 2009, at her home.

She was born in Richmond, Va., and was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include her husband, James Edenfield of Mendes; father, Francis G. Griffin of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and Brandi Klumpp of Kingsland, and Jason and Laura Klumpp of Macon; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and John Pope of Savannah; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Judy Griffin of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22 at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel in Claxton.

HAYNES

Jason Lee Haynes, 19, of Kingsland passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009.

Haynes was born June 10, 1990 in Charleston, W.Va. He had resided in Camden County for the past nine years and was a 2008 graduate of Camden County High School. He loved riding motorcycles. Haynes attended Agape Christian Fellowship Church.

Private family services will be held at the funeral home.

Survivors include his parents, Leanna and James Haynes of Kingsland; two brothers, Cody Haynes of St. Marys and Jeremy Haynes of Kingsland; and grandmother, Shirley Mullins of Kingsland.

RUSSELL

Alene Perdue Russell, 93, of Kingsland, passed away early Thursday morning, July 2, 2009 at her residence.

A private funeral service for her immediate family and caregivers was held on Saturday, July 4.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland was in charge of arrangements.

EDENFIELD
