BUNN
Jonathan "Mike" Bunn, 49, of Hot Springs, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in a local hospital. He was born
March 6, 1960 in Hot Springs to the late Travis Bunn Sr. and Betty Jon Bunn. Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Gulf War, was a former police officer in Brunswick, Ga., and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Valeria Bunn, of Kingsland, Ga.; his five children, Melissa R. Bunn-Puckett, of Hot Springs, Jonathan M. Bunn II, of Arkadelphia, Matthew R. Bunn, of Atlanta, Ga., Ashley Bunn and Rebecca Bunn, of Kingsland, Ga.; one grandchild, Ella Puckett, of Hot Springs; three brothers, Travis C. Bunn Jr., of North Carolina, Calen Bunn of Louisiana, and Markham Bunn, of Hot Springs.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 15, at Calvary Cemetery, with Father Alan Rosenau officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Diane Longinotti, Steve Longinotti, Leroy McFarland and Tad Dunn, Jeff Hilton and Keith Wolfe.

PADGETT
Leola Copeland Padgett passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family. She was a native of Waverly, who was born
to Abraham L. and Corene Drury Copeland.
Padgett was a member of Blythe Island Baptist Church for more than 45 years. She was active in all phases of the ministry, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Women's Missionary Union director and also serving on other church committees.
It was said that Padgett was a wonderful wife and mother to her family, always putting their needs before her own. Her church and her family were the center of her life. In 1946 she met and married
John H Padgett. As a military wife, she traveled various states and duty stations. After her husband's retirement they returned to Brunswick to be near family.
In her early years, Padgett worked for Bell Telephone as an operator. She taught for children's kindergartens at various locations as they traveled. After retirement, she enjoyed being a beauty consultant for Jafra Cosmetics. Locally, she worked for the Glynn County Board of Elections at South Glynn County precinct.
In her retirement years, she discovered her most enjoyable employment as she worked with her son, Kevin Padgett, at his company, Jamestown Piano Shop, for more than 10 years. She loved music and meeting other people who shared that interest.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and an infant son, Michael Herman Padgett.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Padgett; her three children, Carl Padgett (Paula), Kevin Padgett (Joni), both of Brunswick, and a daughter, Darlene Padgett Tyler of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Katherine Padgett, Carl Stephen Padgett, Justin Tyler, Lindsey Tyler, April Page, Christi Padgett and Brittany Padgett; one great-grandson, Garrett Page; and three step great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Ruby Dukes of Brunswick, Eunice Johnson and Myrtis Lumpkin of Jacksonville, Fla., and Merlene Burgess of Brunswick; three brothers, E. R. Copeland of Jacksonville, Fla., Vernon Copeland and Emory D. Copeland of Waverly; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23 at Blythe Island Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Brown and Rev. Pat Vaughn officiating. Interment followed in Ella Park Cemetery
in Camden County, with Barry Lumpkin, David Downs, Barry Copeland, David Copeland, Larry Copeland, Michael Copeland, Russell Copeland, Brian VanSickle and Ricky Dukes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the Blythe Island Baptist Church 3 T's Sunday school class. The family received friends Monday, June 22 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
WILSON
John (Hunt) Wilson entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. He was a native of Camden County. He is the son of Mr. Frank Wilson and Rosa L. Hunt Goldston. He was educated in the Camden County School System. Wilson retired from Bayer Crop Science, Inc. after 32 years and 11 months of service.
Wilson leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Mrs. Eunice Herrin Wilson; five daughters, Paulette E. Hunt, Stephanie D. Hollerman (Vincent) of Woodbine, Twanda L. Sullivan, Vikki L. Wilson, Rosalyn S. Wilson of Kingsland; one son, John L. Wilson of Woodbine; one sister, Sarah L. Herrin of St. Marys; one sister-in-law, Barbara J. Holmes of Fernandina, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Donnie L. Herrin (Betty), and Joe D. Herrin (Ora B.) of Trenton, S.C.; a father-in-law, Charlie Pompey of Johnson, S.C.; one aunt, Ollie Hunt of Spring Bluff; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one godson, Keith Cummings; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Wednesday, May 27 at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Woodbine.

WHITE
Sister Elevene White departed this life on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Hospice of Golden Isles in Brunswick. White was united in marriage Jan. 28, 1945 to Leroy White Sr. He preceded her in death; also five children. White was born
on Oct. 31, 1929 in Camden County. She was the youngest of two children born
to Franklin Pinkney and Lizzie Ealey Pinkney. She was educated in the public schools of Camden County.
She leaves to mourn her passing four daughters, Ruby (Columbus) Linder, Woodbine, Jannie Lee White-Blake (Sammie) and Bernice White, both of White Oak, Patricia White of Texas ; two sons, Larry White (Marvain) of Kingsland and James White of White Oak; step-daughter, Jerelene Reed of Folkston; one sister, Lauretta Randolph of White Oak; four sisters-in-law, Willie Mae White and Delories Armstrong (Edward), both of White Oak, Ammie Lee White of Woodbine, Gladys White (Luther) of Waverly; four brothers-in-law, Dewey White of Woodbine, Luther White of Waverly, Herbert and Henry White, both of Delray Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Services were held May 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Clinch Chapel United Methodist Church, White Oak, Ga.

MURRAY
Cleon Murray of St. Marys died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Shands-Jacksonville. Murray was born
and raised in Ocilla to the parents of Calvin Ford, Sr. and Della Williams. He was educated in the public schools of Ocilla and later moved to Jacksonville, Fla. He was a very skilled man in blueprinting architect, loved to build and, most of all, was an artist.
He moved to Rochester, N.Y., where he was a seamstress and musician. He also worked at Deport Restaurant and Haiti Art Gallery, where he was an instructor. He returned to Jacksonville in 1977, where he worked as a custodian and an architect at Edward Waters College.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife of 27 years, Marion Murray of St. Marys; children, James Cleon Murray, Joseph Murray, Malika (Cornelius) Grant, Dwayne Washington and Lakecha Bouglas; brothers, Charles Ford, Calvin Ford Jr., Hayward Ford, Bubba Ford, Lavern Ford and Jeffrey (Fannie) Ford; adopted brother, Dwight Williams; sisters, Lois Wynn, Lennie (Willie James) Brown, Cassie (Jerry) George, Ethel Hall, Carolyn (Willie) Young, Lucretia (Cheddie) Ford, Shellean (Demetrious) Thomas and Natashia (Kenny) Ford; grandchildren, Kristopher, Keysha, Kaliyah and Kamora Grant, and Xavier Swanson and Donovan Kelly; stepmother, Meggie Ford; aunts, Minnie Lawton and Barbara Rhone; brother-in-law, Houston (Gwen) Rhone Jr.; special nieces and nephews, Randy Jr., Ryan, Kelvin, Antwuan, D.J., Tay, DeAndre, Sharnesa, Ena, Jefffreda, Tia, Kia and more; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at Young Zion Baptist Church. A visitation will be held Friday, May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

JOLLIFFE
Robert E. Jolliffe, 83, of Kingsland passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
A native of Muncie, Ind., he had resided in Camden County for the past four years. Jolliffe was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He loved flying model airplanes and sailing.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Jolliffe of Kingsland; daughters, Gail Merritt and husband, Theo, of Tampa, Fla., and Mary Kraack and husband, Paul, of Kingsland; son, Tom Jolliffe and wife, Debbie, of Spring Court, Ind.; sister, Joann Barker of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held by the family at a later date.

Charles McKinley Teston Sr., 75, of St. Marys passed away early Friday, July 3, 2009 at Shands Hospital Pavilion in Jacksonville, Fla.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7 in the Wainwright Chapel at Coastal Camden Funeral Home (formerly Edo Miller Funeral Home Camden Chapel).

HAYNES
Jason Lee Haynes, 19, of Kingsland passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009.
Haynes was born
June 10, 1990 in Charleston, W.Va. He had resided in Camden County for the past nine years and was a 2008 graduate of Camden County High School. He loved riding motorcycles. Haynes attended Agape Christian Fellowship Church.
Private family services will be held at the funeral home.
Survivors include his parents, Leanna and James Haynes of Kingsland; two brothers, Cody Haynes of St. Marys and Jeremy Haynes of Kingsland; and grandmother, Shirley Mullins of Kingsland.

Alene Perdue Russell, 93, of Kingsland, passed away early Thursday morning, July 2, 2009 at her residence.
A private funeral service for her immediate family and caregivers was held on Saturday, July 4.

Kimberly Michelle Carver Williams, 41, of Kingsland died Tuesday, July 28 at her Folkston residence.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 31, 2009, at the Harbor Worship Center in Kingsland.

EASTERLING
Charlie Easterling, 57, of White Oak passed away at his residence on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009.
A native of Toombs County, he had resided in Camden County since 1974, and was a deputy sheriff with the Camden County Sheriff's Department, retiring with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Georgia Sheriff's Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and Forest View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Easterling of White Oak; daughters, Renee Easterling of Brunswick and Cheryl Easterling of Texas ; step-children, Fred English and Wade English, both of Kingsland, and Cindy Elliott of Warner Robins; 10 grandchildren, Cheyanne Easterling, Cierra Easterling, Charles Easterling, Lindsay English, Heather Marshall, Candice Thigpen, April Hooks, Crystal Rahn, Brian English and Davey Roberts; and five great-grandchildren, Ty Marshall, Vanessa Marshall, Natasha Thigpen, Augusta Hooks and Savannah Rahn.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. from the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Varnadoe, Sidney Howard, Bill Smith, Kevin Barber and Chuck Byerly.

CRAWFORD
Edgar Louis Crawford, 99, of St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Crawford was born
May 24, 1910, in Pollock, La. He had resided in Camden County since 1941, was retired from Gilman Paper Co. with 33 years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Marys where he served in numerous positions during his lifetime.
He served on the St. Marys City Council from 1950-1954 and the Camden County School Board in the late 1950s.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gussie Marie Crawford.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Ann C. and Paul Smith of Corte Madera, Calif.; granddaughter, Marie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery
with Rev. Steve Kegley officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, from the First Baptist Church of St. Marys with Rev. Steve Kegley officiating.
The family requests no flowers and memorial contributions held until a later date which will be announced.

GIBBS
Sister Evelyn Irene Gibbs was born
July 25, 1931 in Kingsland to the late Rev. Raymond and Delia V. Glover. She joined Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Gibbs also worked for the Camden County School System for 16 years.
On Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, Sister Gibbs answered her final call from God, leaving to cherish her memory a loving husband of 60 years, Amos Gibbs Sr.; six children (four boys and two girls), Amos (Geraldine) Gibbs Jr., Alfonza Gibbs, Vernestine Gibbs, Katerina Gibbs, all of Kingsland, Darryl (Tawana) Gibbs of St. Marys and Rayford (Seaner) Gibbs of Darien; one brother and three sisters, Raymond Glover and Dora Lee Nelson preceded her in death, Delia Mae (Nathaniel) Joseph and Delores Glover of Kingsland; four sisters-in-law, Murriell Glover, Cindy (Walter) Smith, Lola Morris and Loretta Dilworth of Kingsland; one uncle, Arie Glover of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Cherryl and Robert Brimley and Greg and Betty Foreman; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and sorrowing friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15 at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the church.

Patricia Ann (Minnie) Witt passed away Jan. 12, 2010, after an extended illness with cancer. She was born
in Baxley and raised in Brunswick and Chicago, Ill. She was a restaurateur in Chicago with Melrose Restaurant.
Minnie is survived by her husband, Emmett L. Witt of McAllen, Texas ; son, Tony Padgett of Brunswick; daughters, Donna Parker of Brunswick and Angela Lentz of Ridley Park, Pa..; six grandchildren, Toni and Lacey Lee, Amanda and Ashley Medina, Maria and Jay Parker; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy (Ann) Hudson of Blackshear; six sisters, Joyce (Harry) Carter of Brunswick, Melba Kelly of Brunswick, Barbara (Charlie) Ferretti of Westchester, Pa., Jessie (Wallace) Dixon of Waycross, Saundra (Robert) Clark of Kingsland and Wanda (Lawrence) Hudson of Kingsland; and her lifetime friend of 30 years, Aida M. Bailey of McAllen, Texas , and Wayne Pickering of McAllen, Texas .
She was preceded in death by her father, James Wickley Meads of Vidalia; her mother, Bonnie Hudson Mosley; stepfather, Nathan Mosley; brother, Curtis Jerry Hudson; and her son, Douglas Dewayne Turner, all of Brunswick.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin immediately following visitation, with the Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Clark, Zachary Clark, Jacob Clark, Charles Ferretti, Paul Townsend, and Shawn Hudson. Interment will be in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.
