Jerry Bennett
CORDELE - Services for Jerry Bennett will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bentley Carson Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Bennett, 55, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.

A native of Dooly County, he was the son of the late George and Josephine Bennett. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his children, Reginald Crapp, Gregory Crapp and Ricky Sanders, all of Cordele, and Annette Jackson of Unadilla; brothers, Dedrick Fudge of Pahokee, Fla., Joe Eddie Law of Florida, J.C. Bennett of Charlotte, N.C. and Joe Louis Bennett of Cordele; sister, Sallie Mae Bennett of Atlanta; and five grandchildren.

Mary Brickle
PAYNE CITY - Services for Mary R. Brickle will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Macon Memorial Park.

Brickle, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000.

She was a spooler, retired from Bibb Manufacturing Co.

She was a member of Living Waters Fellowship.

Survivors include her children, Leverne B. Robertson of Lizella and Alton R. Fincher of Macon; sister, Carrie Woodall of Barnesville; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Crest Lawn Funeral Home and may be contacted at 5052 Sandy Point Road, Lizella.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Options, 151 College St., Macon 31201.

Lucretia Chesnut
RESERVE, Kan. - Services for Lucretia Margaret Chesnut will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, Neb., with burial in Cornelison Cemetery, Reserve.

Chesnut, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Leslie Ewing and Bessie Swain Frye.

She attended High School in Reserve, where she had lived most of her life, as well as in Falls City.

The widow of Robert Chesnut, she was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church of Reserve and BPO Does No. 56 in Falls City.

Survivors include her children, Dale Chesnut of Lincoln, Neb., and Albert Chesnut of Macon; sister and brother, Alice Meyer of Winchester, Tenn., and Don Frye of Falls City; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Pascal Collier
FORT VALLEY - Services for Pascal Collier will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oaklawn Cemetery. Collier, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from Robins Air Force Base.

He was Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret R. Collier; children, Calvin Collier of Covington and Terry Collier of Fort Valley; sisters, Verna Kessler of Gainesville, Fla., Pauline Beard of Winter Garden, Fla., Stella Jones of Fort Valley and Evelyn Pickard of Columbus; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Rooks Funeral Home, Fort Valley.

Barbara Corbin
SANDERSVILLE - Services for Barbara Renfroe Corbin will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Davisboro Methodist church with burial in Davisboro City Cemetery. Corbin, 57, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.

Survivors include her husband, John D. Corbin Jr.; children, Kimberly Botterbusch of Atlanta, Gregory Hutchins of Spain and Christopher Hutchins of New Mexico; parents, Willard Renfroe Sr. of Sandersville and Florence Renfroe of Atlanta; sister and brother, Sherrie Clark of Atlanta and Willard Renfroe Jr. of Sandersville; and a grandchild.

The family may be contacted at 845 E. McCarty St., Sandersville.

Lula Davis
DUBLIN - Services for Lula Bell Davis will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mitchell Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Davis, 49, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000.

Survivors include her children, Leslie Daniel Jr., Janice Davis, Shanta Davis, Tyrone Davis, Gerone Davis, Margie Davis, Maxine Davis, Gerran Davis, Shaquita Davis, Quition Davis and Angela Davis, all of Dublin; mother, Willie Dudley of Wrightsville; sisters and brothers, Ruthie Smith, Bernestine Johnson, Phil Dudley and Charlie Dudley, all of Wrightsville.

Earnest Ellerbee
ASHBURN - Services for Earnest "Dick" Ellerbee will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Harmony Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Ellerbee, 71, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000.

The son of the late William and Addie Ellerbee, he served in the Army and was a retired dispatcher and jailor from the Turner County Sheriff's Department.

He was a member and deacon of Harmony Baptist Church and the Sunday School.

Survivors include his children, Royce Ellerbee of Ashburn, David Ellerbee of Buford and Dianne Dryer of Leary; brothers and sister, James Ellerbee of Ashburn, Royce Ellerbee of Albany and Willie Chattin of Sylvester; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn.

Johnny Fryer
LAMAR COUNTY - Services for Johnny B. Fryer will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Antioch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Fryer, 63, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000.

Survivors include his wife, Betty B. Fryer; children, Michael Fryer, Sonya Horton and Patricia Fryer Taylor, all of Barnesville, Jacquline Fryer of Macon; brother, Nathaniel Wright of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren.

Bentley & Sons Funeral Home in Barnesville has charge of arrangements.

Dr. Horace Gray Sr.
Services for Dr. Horace Benton Gray Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Riverside United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, north gate.

Gray, 93, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.

He was a teacher in Volusia County school and in Tavares, Fla., was principal at Oak Alley High School and superintendent of Brevard County schools.

He was awarded a Ph.D. at Florida State University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

He taught at Florida State College for Women, was professor emeritus at Wesleyan College, where he was coordinator of secondary education, and taught at Mercer University.

Survivors include his children, Mary Rose Barnes of Smyrna, Dr. Horace Benton Gray Jr. of Houston, Texas , Walter Ezell Gray of Dallas, Texas , and John Curtis Gray of Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dr. Horace Gray Scholarship Fund, Wesleyan College, 4760 Forsyth Road, Macon 31210.

Eleanor Gray
GRAY - Services for Eleanor Gray will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Christian Fellowship with burial in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Jones County. Gray, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.

She was born in Hickory Valley, Tenn., daughter of the late Thadeus and Claudis Irwin.

A Baptist, she was the widow of the Rev. James Gray.

Survivors include her children, Al Gray of Macon and James Gray of Bowie, Ark.; and grandchildren, Gina Gray, Ben Gray and Jimmy Easen.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today at 5788 Rivoli Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sav-A-Life Ministry, 116 Pierce Ave., Macon 31204.

Bobby Jenkins
SANDERSVILLE - Services for Bobby Loren Jenkins will be at 3 p.m. today in Sisters Baptist Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Jenkins, 63, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in an Augusta hospital after a long illness.

He was retired from Thiele Kaolin Co., was a farmer, and served in the Coast Guard and Georgia National Guard.

He attended Sisters Baptist Church and was a member of Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon chairman, Sunday School superintendent, choir member, trustee and brotherhood member.

He was a member of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association and former member of Washington County Civitan Club and Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen M. Jenkins; children, Barbara Jones of Cumming, Bill Jenkins of Sandersville and Bruce Jenkins of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sisters, Martha Banner of Lawrenceville and Betty Jo Martin of Lilburn; and five grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at the residence on Linton Road.

Memorials may be made to the local chapter of Sunshine House.

Lewis Johnson
HADDOCK - Services for Lewis Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jordan Chapel AME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Johnson, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000.

The son of the late Edna and Theodore Johnson, he was retired from Frito Lay in Atlanta.

Survivors include his brother, Edward Johnson of Haddock.

Samuel's Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

William Kee
Services for William Norris Kee will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Central Baptist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Kee, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000.

He was the widower of Tallu Shell Kee and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Wood of Macon; sisters, Imogene Rainey of Tucker and Helen Samuels of Orlando; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins.
