Jacqueline Whatley

VIDALIA - Services for Jacqueline Whatley will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lyons City Cemetery. Whatley, 73, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at her residence. She was a lab technician at blood banks in Waycross, Jacksonville, Fla., and Augusta. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her niece and nephew, Marijac Whatley and Tom Whatley, both of Marietta.

The family requests no flowers. Murchison Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Cecil Wilder Sr.

FORT VALLEY - Services for Cecil J. Wilder Sr. will be at 2 p.m. today in Oaklawn Cemetery. Wilder, 71, died Saturday, May 6, 2000. He was retired from the Peach County Sheriff's Department.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Taylor Wilder; children, Cecil J. Wilder Jr. and Glenn Wilder, both of Fort Valley; and a granddaughter, Sherry Wilder of Fort Valley.

Family will be at 3885 East Houze Road. Rooks Funeral Home, Fort Valley, has charge of arrangements.

James Wilkins

SOPERTON - Services for James D. "Cotton Top" Wilkins will be at 11 a.m. today in Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilkins, 77, died Saturday, May 6, 2000. He was a retired nurse's aide and attended Soperton Church of God.

Survivors include his children, George Wilkins of Helena and Alton Wilkins of Rockledge; brothers, Verlie Foskey of Soperton and J.J. Wilkins of Dublin; and four grandchildren.

Sammons Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Olga Wright

MILLEDGEVILLE - Services for Olga A. Wright will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Williams White Columns Funeral Home with burial in Memory Hill Cemetery. Wright, 82, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a lab technician, retired from McGaw Laboratories. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her children, James Wright and Jerrold Wright, both of Milledgeville, Morrelle Hunter of Bowie, Md., and Deborah Crosby of Rutledge, Tenn.; sister, Esther Davis of Milledgeville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Willa Adams

DUBLIN - Services for Willa Jean Adams will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in C. Homer Adams Chapel of Adams Funeral Home with burial in Northview Cemetery. Adams died Friday, June 2, 2000. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Doc. and Susie Green Adams. She was a charter member of the Dublin Association of Fine Arts and was treasurer emeritus having served as treasurer for 30 years. She attended Georgia State College for Women and was a former member of the Cotillion Club. She had taught Sunday School in the nursery and was a member of First Baptist Church

Survivors include her brother, James Adams of Concord, N.C.; and 12 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mattie Mae Bell

Services for Mattie Mae Bell will be at 2 p.m. today in Howard Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Bell, 66, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Gary Sr. She had worked for Bibb Manufacturing and the Bibb County Board of Education. She was a member of Howard Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a youth coordinator and a member of the missionary board, usher board and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children, Bernadine Bell, LaShun Crawford and Edison Bell Jr., all of Macon, Felicia Bell and Marshall Bell Sr., both of Fayetteville, N.C., and Foster Gary of Tampa, Fla.; mother, Ira Bell Gary of Macon; sisters and brother, Bobbie Glover of Macon, Sarah Hart of Forsyth and Robert Gary Jr. of Detroit; and seven grandchildren.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Dianne Cameron

Services for Dianne Cameron will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Cameron, 42, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in a local hospital. She was born in Bibb County, daughter of the late Thelma J. Ledford. She was an office clerk for Meyer Laminates. She was Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen R. Cameron; children April M. Baker, Tiffany Dortch and Stephanie D. Cameron, all of Macon; father, James H. Ledford of Macon; brothers Robert F. Ledford of Morganton, N.C., and Terry Ledford of Pemberton, N.J.; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home and may be contacted at 3309 Pio Nono Circle and 4925 Log Cabin Drive.

Eugenia Evans

KATHLEEN - Services for Eugenia "Genie" Talbert Evans will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Andrew United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fort Valley. Evans, 81, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. A graduate of Andrew College, she was a retired civil service employee and a charter member of Andrew United Methodist Church. The widow of William Evans, she was former president of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her children, Ruth Anne Weeks of Warner Robins and Jo Claire Jones of Kathleen; sister, Myra Willis of Warner Robins; four grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Warner Robins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bill and Genie Evans Scholarship Fund at Andrew United Methodist Church, 2430 Hwy. 127, Kathleen, Ga.

Mildred Hall

SWAINSBORO - Services for Mildred Lee Logue Hall will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Peebles Curry Durden Mortuary with burial in Bethania Church Cemetery near Dellwood. Hall, 68, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of the North Carolina school system. She was a member of Brooklet Primitive Baptist Church and was past matron of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Hall; children, Carol Eichee of Collierville, Tenn., and Donald Hall of Swainsboro; sisters, Sara Carroll of Thunderbolt, Sadie Tatatino of Savannah and Pauline Paul of Swainsboro.

Thomas Harris

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Services for Thomas Ray Harris will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunnyside Cemetery. Harris, 93, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. Born in Cordele, he attended Auburn University and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. In 1935, he, his father and wife incorporated Harris Foundry and Machine Co. in Cordele, and designed, manufactured and marketed the first hydraulic scrap baling press. He was the son of the late Russell Harris and the widow of Mary Harris, and served on the board of the Resolution Trust Corp. and Cordele City Commission. He retired to Florida and attended First Baptist Church of Satellite Beach, Fla.

Survivors include his children, Marie Markwater of Huntsville, Ala., and Lillian Lockary of Macon; nephew, Russell Harris Jr. of Toomsboro; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Dekle Funeral Home, Cordele.

Floy Hemphill

EASTMAN - Services for Floy Hemphill will be at 11 a.m. today in Southerland Funeral Chapel with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hemphill, 88, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. A lifelong resident of Dodge County, she was a homemaker and a member of Parkerson Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Holman and Cora Holcomb Hemphill.

Survivors include her sisters and brother, Dorothy Lowery of Eastman, Emily Fogerty of Largo, Fla., Nelly Gilbert of Milledgeville and Holman Hemphill of Adel; and several nieces and nephews.

The family may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lowery, McRae Road South, Eastman. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Frank Herrington

SWAINSBORO - Services for Frank Hinson Herrington will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Herrington Memorial Chapel, Nunez, with burial in Herrington Family Cemetery. Herrington, 89, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Nunez, he had lived in Emanuel County most of his life and was a farmer and businessman. He attended Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was admitted to the state bar of Georgia, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Georgia Farm Bureau, Emanuel County Historic and Preservation Society, and was an honorary life member of the Georgia Sheriff's Association.

Survivors include his sisters, Nina Herrington and Ruby H. Drew, both of Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Tomlinson Funeral Home, and may be contacted at the residence, 501 Youngblood St.

Jade Holland

YOKOSUKA, Japan - Services for Jade Jorgetta Holland, infant daughter of Kevin and Lisa Simmons Holland, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Telfair Memorial Gardens, Telfair. Jade died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosura.

Survivors other than her parents include her twin sister, Madison Holland of Yokosura; grandparents, George and Nancy Holland of McRae and Ed and Brenda Pye of Odum; and great-grandmother, Mary Holland of McRae.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Lowe's Funeral Home in Helena.

Lorraine Johnson

FORT VALLEY - Services for Lorraine Johnson will be private in Glen Haven Cemetery. Johnson, 72, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Fall River, Mass., she was a printer for Block Drugs and was the daughter of the late Wilford and Yvonne Remy.

Survivors include her children, Pamela Dobbs of Fort Valley and Mark Johnson of Fayetteville; sister, Annette Bertone of Toms River, N.J.; and one grandchild.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
