Vesta Kilgore

HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Vesta Kilgore will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park, Macon. Kilgore, 78, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Haralson County, she was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Macon and was retired from Allied Chemical Co.

Survivors include her children, David Kilgore, Danny Kilgore and Duane Kilgore, all of Hawkinsville; sister, Madge Rush of Carrollton; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home, and may be contacted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. David Kilgore, Route 4, Columbus Hwy., Hawkinsville.

William Kramer Sr.

WARNER ROBINS - Services for William P. Kramer Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville. Kramer, 77, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Lebanon, Pa., he was the son of the late Milton and Bertha Kramer. He was a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base, retired as a production control supervisor, and was an Army-Air Corps veteran serving in World War II and the Korean conflict. The husband of the late Dorothy Kramer, he was a longtime member of Warner Robins Touchdown Club and was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his children, Jill Haeusler, Jay Kramer and William Kramer Jr., all of Warner Robins; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pleasant Road, Warner Robins, Ga. 31093, or Meals on Wheels, 1137 Kathleen Bynum Drive, Warner Robins, Ga. 31093 in memory of Mr. William Kramer Sr. McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Gordon McElmurray

Services for Gordon McElmurray will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Macon Memorial Park. McElmurray, 54, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Taylor County, he was the son of the late William McElmurray. He had lived in Macon for the past 43 years and was a painter. He was formerly employed by Dicky Farms in Musella and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Danny McElmurray and Zondra McElmurray, both of Macon, and Stephanie McElmurray of North Carolina; mother, Myrtle McElmurray of Macon; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the family residence, 2417 Holland Drive, Macon. Crest Lawn Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Rufus McNear Jr.

Services for Rufus McNear Jr. will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Pentecostal Church, Anthony Road, with burial in Saints Rest Cemetery. McNear, 51, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. Born in Toombs County, he was educated in Bibb County public schools and was the son of the late Rufus McNear Sr. He was a network installer.

Survivors include his children, Jarvis Wright and Sharia McNear, both of Macon; mother, Callie McNear of Macon; brothers and sisters, Rena McNear, Willie McNear, Carl McNear, Nathaniel McNear, Alphonso McNear, Sidney Battle, Dorothy Brown, Carolyn DeShazier and Ruthie Mae Jackson, all of Macon; and one grandchild.

Betty Rawlins

SOPERTON - Services for Betty Lou Rawlins will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sammons Funeral Home. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Cemetery, Wimauma, Fla. Rawlins, 61, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Midland, Mich., she had lived in Wimauma, Fla., before moving to Soperton two years ago. She was the daughter of the late James and Esther Williams and was a homemaker. The widow of Leroy Rawlins, she attended Snowhill Church of God in Wheeler County.

Survivors include her children Dennis McRoberts, Norman Rawlins, Walter Rawlins and Delta Keene, all of Soperton, and Darlene Thompson of Live Oak, Fla.; sisters and brothers Ilene Reichert of Edmore, Mich., Karlene McGahee, Judy Herndon and Richard Williams, all of Soperton, and Larry Williams of Alma, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Barbara Reves

Services for Barbara A. Reves will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Vineville Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reves, 67, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Memphis, Tenn., she attended Jordan High School in Columbus and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. degree in music. She worked as a music and band teacher from 1955 to 1991. She was a member of Vineville Baptist Church, where she played in the brass choir, and was also a member and past president of the Middle Georgia Concert Band. She held memberships in the Macon Symphony, Savannah Symphony and Columbus Symphony.

Survivors include her mother, Charlie Estelle Reves Thompson of Macon; sisters Margaret T. Reed of Sylvania, Ohio; several aunts and uncles; and two nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Reves' memory to the Middle Georgia Concert Band.

James Rowland Sr.

LOUISVILLE - Services for James Benjamin "J.B." Rowland Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson-Grier Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Louisville City Cemetery. Rowland, 79, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Levin and Amanda Mobley Rowland. He was a retired farmer and Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Louisville.

Survivors include his companion, Mildred Rowland; son, Jim Rowland Jr. of Madison; sister, Frances Love of Louisville; cousin, Emma Collins of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas D. Smith

Services for Thomas Doyle Smith will be at 11 a.m. today in Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Smith, 81, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in a local hospital. He was born in Emanuel County, son of the late Doyle Allan and Eula Wynn Smith. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion and Marine Veterans of World War II Association. He was a steamfitter, was president of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local No. 472 and was instrumental in the founding of the Health and Welfare Fund. He was retired from Hays Heating and Plumbing. He attended Cherokee Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Yates Smith; children Patricia Louise Hood of Charlotte, N.C., and Nancy Tommette Liles of Byron; grandchildren Charles Hood, Steven Hood and Jonathan Hood, all of Charlotte, Tommette Cuebas of Warner Robins, Sherri Pipkin of Byron, Louisa Yaughn of Fort Valley and Donna Nikirk of Macon; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Harvey Spinks

RHINE - Services for Harvey Spinks will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fair Haven Baptist Church with burial in Bay Springs Cemetery. Spinks, 81, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. A lifelong resident of Dodge County, he was a member of Benevolence United Methodist Church. The son of the late William and Dessie Parker Spinks, he was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Birder Hardeman Spinks; children, Geraldine McCranie of Eastman, Dr. Annie Outlaw of Brunswick, Rachel Clements and Betty Jean Harrell, both of Rhine, and Rayford Spinks of Douglas; sisters and brothers, Dolly Hardeman of Adel, Tansy Lord of Port Richey, Fla., G.W. Spinks of Fitzgerald and Hansel Spinks of Moultrie; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home, and may be contacted at the Spinks residence on Fair Haven Church Road, Rhine.

Sadie Swain

WARNER ROBINS - Services for Sadie Mae Swain will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Swain, 87, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Sylvester, she was a homemaker and the daughter of the late David and Estess Phillips. The widow of James Swain, she was a Baptist.

Survivors include her children, Pamela Gibson of Warner Robins and James Swain Sr. of Bonaire; sister, Earline Threadgill of Lawrenceville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at McCullough Funeral Home.

Ellamae Thwing

WARNER ROBINS - Services for Ellamae "Ellie" Thwing will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in McCullough Funeral Home with entombment in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Thwing, 81, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Barneston, Neb., she was the daughter of the late Reiner and Rose Hartwig. A homemaker, she was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star Chapter 148 in Lincoln, Neb., and a longtime volunteer with the OWC Thrift Shop at Robins Air Force Base.

Survivors include her husband, James Thwing; children, Sherryl McDonald of Carrollton and Ronald Thwing of Fossier City, La.; brother, Marvin Hartwig of Phoenix; and one grandson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins 31093.

Elizabeth Watson

COVINGTON - Services for Elizabeth Brooks Watson will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, Macon. Watson, 99, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in Washington , she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Brooks. A homemaker, she was the widow of George Watson.

Survivors include her children Emily Vickery of Covington, Vallie Willis of Plant City, Fla., Reba Ethridge of Warner Robins and Thomas Parrish of Lakeland, Fla.; sister Mildred Strickland of Honea Path, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Wheeler Funeral Home. Bellamy Funeral Home in Powder Springs has charge of arrangements.
