Kelvin Underwood
DRY BRANCH - Services for Kelvin Underwood will be at 2 p.m. today in New Providence Baptist Church with burial in Miller's Cemetery. Underwood, 43, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998. He received a bachelor of science degree in music education from Morris Brown College. He was a band director and music teacher at Twiggs County Comprehensive High School.

Survivors include his children, Kelsia Underwood and Ian Underwood, both of Macon; mother, Frances Underwood of Irwinton; brother and sisters, J.T. Underwood Jr. of Augusta, Margaret Beard of Montrose, Hazel Dorsey of Fort Worth, Texas , Lillian Dixon, Sara Bryant of Jeffersonville, Juanita Marcus and Methina Underwood of Irwinton, and Barenda Hogan of McIntyre.

The family may be contacted at 10381 J.R. Sims Road, Irwinton. The body will be in the church at noon. Community Chapel Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Ralph Anderson
DOUGLAS - Services for Ralph Anderson will be at 11 a.m. today in Carver Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Anderson, 79, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. Born in Coffee County, he was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict, retired as staff sergeant after 22 years of service. He also was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation in the Traffic Survey Division.

Survivors include his children, Thelma William and Edwin Anderson, both of Douglas, Linda Moorman of Columbus, Ohio, and James Anderson of Waycross; sisters, Vera Mae Hersey of Douglas and Beatrice Flowers of Bismarck, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

Ricketson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Newis Boggus Sr.
FITZGERALD - Services for Newis Bass Boggus Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Boggus, 92, died Friday, March 3, 2000. He was born icon in Heard County, the son of the late Robert E. and Lola Anna Bass Boggus. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life and made his home in the Baptist Village in Waycross since 1994. The widower of Flora Ann Mitchum Boggus, he was a trainman for Seaboard Coastline Railroad, retired after 45 years of service, and was a member of the United Transportation Union. He was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Newis B. Boggus Jr. of Waycross, Shirley Davenport of Lilburn, and Linda Donaldson of Casselberry, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight. Memorials may be made to Frank Primitive Baptist Church c/o Walter Sumner, P.O. Box 112, Ocilla.

Elsie Butt
FORSYTH - Services for Elsie Frances Shell Butt will be at 1 p.m. today in Forsyth United Methodist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Hills. Butt, 85, died Thursday, March 3, 2000. She was born icon in Vienna, the daughter of the late Clara Belle Barry and the Rev. John N. Shell. She was the widow of Cecil Weaver Butt. She was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Gramoglia of Dunwoody; sister and brother, Mary Alice Maddox of Columbus and Harold Shell of Gulfport, Miss.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the church. The family suggests, as a memorial, buying books for the Monroe County Library or donations to the church. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Royce Dominy
McINTYRE - Services for Royce Perry Dominy will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in White Columns Funeral Home in Gordon, with burial at 4:30 p.m. in Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Bleckley County. Dominy, 66, died Friday, March 3, 2000. He was born icon in Bleckley County, the son of the late Walter Henry and Rosa Lee Ellington Dominy. He lived in Gordon for many years before moving to McIntyre several years ago. He was a retired mechanic with Freeport Kaolin Co.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Adkins Dominy; children, Sherry Mitchiner of Gordon and Joseph Neil Dominy, Randy Perry Dominy and Walter Lee Dominy, all of McIntyre; sisters and brother, Evelyn D. Horne, Nina D. Bryant and Joyce D. Phillip, all of Cochran, and William Lamar Dominy of Dothan, Ala.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Lorene Dowdy
FITZGERALD - Services for Lorene Hawkins Dowdy will be at 11 a.m. today in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Dowdy, 80, died Friday, March 3, 2000. Born in Pulaski County, she had lived in Fitzgerald since 1946. The widow of Glenn Dowdy, she was a homemaker, a former inspector at Fitzgerald Underwear and a member of the Retired Railroad Club. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Genita Cohen of Holden Beach, N.C., Gerry Harris of Powder Springs, Glennette Latham of Fitzgerald, Bette Walsh of Blackshear and Wanda Luke of Fitzgerald; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Naomi Gammage
Memorial services for Naomi Gammage will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Glenwood Hills United Methodist Church. Gammage, 91, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000. A graduate of Wesleyan Art School, she was a retired lunchroom manager at Burke Elementary School. She was the widow of Norman Charles Gammage. She was an active member of Glenwood Hills United Methodist Church and was also a member of Second Street United Methodist Church, the Macon Women's Club, First Baptist Church Keen Agers, Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church Golden Agers and the Crochet Club.

Survivors include her sisters and brother and their families, Rebecca S. King and Neil S. Shadburn, Alfred Smalling and his wife, Alice; her granddaughter and family, Jacqueline Trace, her husband, Bruce, and their two children; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenwood Hills United Methodist Church, 3357 Rice Mill Road, Macon 31206. Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

Kathryn Green
MIDWAY, Ark. - Services for Kathryn Patterson Greene will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Highview Cemetery, Gray. Greene, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000. She was born icon in Statesboro, the daughter of the late Carl Bacon and Nezzie Mize Patterson, and attended Georgia State College for Women. The widow of Herbert Everett Greene, she was a homemaker. She was a former member of Gray United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Greene of Midway, Ark., and Charles Greene of Roxie, Miss.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity. Bridges Funeral Home, Gray, has charge of arrangements.

Hazel Haire
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Hazel Haire will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens. Haire died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. Born in Crisp County, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Bonaire Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Haire; children, Joyce Williams of Inglis, Fla., Judy Walker of Hawkinsville, Berry Haire of McDonough, and Johnny Haire of Hawkinsville; brothers and sisters, Bo Pitts of Charlotte, N.C., Julius Pitts of Fitzgerald, Mildred Lingerfelt and Nell Parks, both of Cordele; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home, Hawkinsville, has charge of arrangements.

Joshua Hinson
SOPERTON - Services for Joshua Lee Hinson, the infant son of Wendell Ray Hinson Sr. and Angie Lee Hinson, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sammons Funeral Home with burial in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Joshua Lee died Friday, March 3, 2000.

Survivors in addition to his parents include brothers and sister, Wendell Ray Hinson Jr., C.J. Hinson and D.J. Hinson, all of Soperton, and Amanda Michelle Allen of Vidalia; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Faircloth of Oak Park and Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Hinson of Soperton; great-grandmothers, Lillie King of Bartow, Fla., and Geneva McDaniel of Soperton; and great-great-grandmother, Ellen Robins of Fort Meade, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Annie Horton
SPARTA - Services for Annie Horton will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sandy Run AME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Horton, 98, died Thursday, March 2, 2000. She was born icon in Hancock County, the daughter of the late Fate and Bessie Hudson Ingram. The widow of Beatrice Horton, she was a member of Sandy Run AME Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Elzena Bundrage of Milledgeville; 30 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren.

Corine Hoskins
JEFFERSONVILLE - Services for Corine V. Hoskins will be at 2 p.m. Monday in New Hope Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Hoskins, 57, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. She was born icon in Twiggs County, the daughter of the late Joe and Patience Rozier Carswell. She attended schools in Twiggs County and was formerly customer service representative for the Rite Aid Drug Store in Jeffersonville. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was church clerk and a member of New Hope Gospel Choir. She was a member of Jeffersonville Community Involvement, rendering her services whereever needed.

Survivors include her husband, Rubin Hoskins Sr.; children, Rubin Hoskins Jr. and Timothy Hoskins, both of Jeffersonville, Travis L. Hoskins of Statesboro, Angela D. Hoskins of Jeffersonville, and Katrina H. Curry of Detroit; brother and sisters, Donald E. Rozier, and Leila Lewis, both of Jeffersonville, and Ailene Anderson of Miami; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Mary Irwin
SANDERSVILLE - Services for Mary Lozier Rogers Irwin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Christian Church with burial in Brownwood Cemetery. Irwin, 84, died Friday, March 3, 2000. A lifelong resident of Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Nathaniel Hooks and Alma Tucker Smith Lozier. A graduate of Georgia State College for Women, she was a member of the Alumni Club. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of the Washington County Department of Family and Children Services. She was a member of the Washington County Historical Society and a former member of the Sandersville Music Club and the Sorosis Club. She was a member of First Christian Church of Sandersville,

Survivors include her children, Mary Elizabeth Rogers Smith of Sandersville, Dr. Oscar Leslie Rogers III of Baton Rouge, La.; and sister, Martha L. Riner of Sandersville.

The family may be contacted at 1978 Ga. 15 North in Sandersville, and will receive friends at Lang's Chapel Funeral Home from 6 to 8 tonight. The family suggests donations to First Christian Church of Sandersville.

Gena Johnson
GRAY - Services for Gena Beck Johnson will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Bradley Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Johnson, 33, died Wednesday, March 3, 2000. She was born icon in Bibb County, the daughter of the late Buddy Beck. She was a homemaker and a member of Gray First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Frankie Johnson; children, Morgan Elyse Handley and Jessie Handley, both of Gray; mother and stepfather, Margaret Ann and Ed Thornton of Gray; sisters and brother, Debbie Lindsey and Wanda Beck, both of Gray, Patti Thornton Beck and Jeanie Grimm of Titusville, Fla., and Jay Beck of Stafford, Va.
