Jasper Blasingame
ROBERTA - Services for the Rev. Jasper Blasingame will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Olive Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Blasingame, 53, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000. Born in Upson County, he was the son of the late Calvin and Odessa Ivey Blasingame Sr. He was pastor of Mount Airy Baptist Church in Forsyth, Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Reynolds and Springhill Baptist Church in Juliette, and was former pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Byron. He was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Searcy Blasingame; children, Christopher James Murphy of Salem, Rhonda Trenise Onianwa of Kamiseya, Japan, Jacquelyn Terrell Cartwright of Auburn, Ala., and Dionne LeShon Blasingame of Roberta; sisters and brothers, Annie Grace Traylor, Johnny C. Blasingame Jr., Henry T. Blasingame and Murray Blasingame, all of Roberta, Josephine Oliver, Shirley Carter and Morris Blasingame, all of Atlanta, and Bunnie Lee Fagan of the Salem community; and four grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 2880 Olive Grove Church Road. The body will be placed in the church an hour prior to services. Hicks and Sons, Roberta, has charge of arrangements.

Donnie Brantley
HAZLEHURST - Services for Donnie L. Brantley will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial in Horne Mission Cemetery. Brantley, 49, died Wednesday, Feb.. 23, 2000. He was born icon in Jeff Davis County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Brantley Sr. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nina M. Brantley; children, Donna C. Brantley and Donnie Cash Brantley, both of Hazlehurst, and Nina Sheria Brantley and Nacho T. Brantley, both of Statesboro; brothers and sisters, John S. Brantley Jr., Garry Brantley, Carol O. Brantley and Doris Jacobs, all of Hazlehurst, Onetha W. Hall, Bettye Brantley, and June Cummings, all of New York City; and two grandchildren.

A.L. Spaulding Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Johnnie Calhoun
CORDELE - Services for Johnnie Ruth Calhoun will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Northern Heights Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Calhoun, 67, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. She was born icon in Wilcox County. She was a retired waitress for the Holiday Inn restaurant in Cordele. She was a member of Northern Heights Baptist Church and Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her sons, Ronnie L. Calhoun of Dallas, Texas , Hiram Scott Calhoun of Albuquerque, N.M., Jeffery H. Calhoun and Chelsey P. Calhoun, both of Cordele; brothers and sister, Walter E. Clements of Rebecca, J.B. Clements of Ashburn, and Ethel Grace Whittle of Rochelle; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hughes and Wright Funeral Home.

Estell Clifton
SANTA CLAUS - Services for Estell Clifton will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Lyons Church of God of Prophecy with burial in Lyons City Cemetery. Clifton, 92, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000. Born in and a lifelong resident of Toombs County, she was a seamstress retired from Toombs Manufacturing. She was a member of Lyons Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Jo Clifton of Vidalia; and several cousins.

The will be placed in the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Jones-Stewart Funeral Home.

Flossie Couch
FORT VALLEY - Services for Flossie Smith Couch will be at 11 a.m. Monday in WestView Cemetery, Monticello. Couch, 97, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. She was born icon in Jasper County, the daughter of the late Durrell and Annie Kate Malone Smith. The widow of John Greer Couch, she was a member of the DAR. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Couch Lee of Fort Valley; a sister, Pauline Couch of Macon; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 211 Persons St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fort Valley First Baptist Church Building Fund. Jordan Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Christopher Cunningham
Services for Christopher Cunningham will be at noon Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Cunningham, 41, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. Born in Louisville, Ky., he had lived in Macon for the past 20 years. A painter, he was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Janis B. Bassett of Louisville, Ky.; father, Robert F. Cunningham of Macon; children, Deresa Cunningham and Bobby Cunningham; sisters and brothers, Toni Cunningham, Tammy Cunningham, Alice Cunningham, David Cunningham, all of Louisville, Ky., Connie Spires of Juliette, Thomas Cunningham of Byron, and Charles Cunningham of Warner Robins; and his maternal grandmother.

The family may be contacted at 3268 Misty Valley Drive. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.

James Dew
SMITHVILLE - Services for James Larry Dew will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Americus. Dew, 59, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000. He was born icon in Marion County, the son of the late James Ollie and Martha Dell Rush Dew. He was a carpenter employed by Con-Art. He was a member of Benevolence United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley G. Dew; children, Dale D. Carter of Mount Vernon and Joseph Dew and Donnie Dew, both of Americus; two grandchildren; stepmother, Elizabeth Dew of Americus; stepbrother, J.E. Perry of Albany; and stepsister, Julie Fairbrother of Americus.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Hancock Funeral Home and may be contacted at 855 Dawson Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, 2001 South Lee St., Americus 31709.

Carl Diehl
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Carl F. Diehl will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Magnolia Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Diehl, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000. A native of Ohio, he had lived in Warner Robins for many years and was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary F. Diehl; brothers, Gene Diehl of Yellowsprings, Ohio, and Kenneth Diehl of Rehobath Beach, Colo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Carl Douglas
FITZGERALD - Services for Carl E. Douglas will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Westview Cemetery, Wrightsville. Douglas, 90, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. He was born icon in Johnson County, the son of the late Remus and Arlie Leah Hetcheson Douglas. He attended the University of Southern California, was a graduate of the University of Georgia and received his master's degree from Mercer University. He was a Crawford County extension agent, was a retired peach and cattle farmer and was retired from employment with the Bibb County Board of Education. He was a Mason. A Methodist, he was a former Sunday School teacher and superintendent.

Survivors include his wife, Esylena C. Douglas; children, Sheryl John of Fitzgerald, and Sandra Balyeat of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Raymond Douglas of Aurora, N.C.; a half-sister, Hazel Shea of Macon; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the American Heart Association. Paulk Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Cecil Haywood
BARNESVILLE - Services for Cecil R. "Red" Haywood will be at 2 p.m. today in Haisten-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Haywood, 84, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000. He worked for many years for the state Highway Department and was a member of the VFW. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ira Hutto
RENTZ - Services for Ira Hutto will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in SnowHill Cemetery. Hutto, 64, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. He was born icon in Dodge County, the son of the late Dupree and Clidie Dixon Hutto. He was the former owner of Hutto Construction Co., and was employed by Sawyer Enterprises. He was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannell G. Hutto; children, Clay Hutto, Justin Hutto and Robert Shield, all of Rentz, and Keith Hutto of Empire, Robin Shield of North Wilkesboro, N.C., Iris Brand of Warner Robins and Loria Huff of Perry; sister and brother, Dorothy Piper and Dwaine Hutto, both of Cochran; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Lola Mae Jordan
PINEVIEW - Services for Lola Mae Jordan will be private. Jordan, 73, died Friday, Feb.. 25, 2000. She was born icon in Fort Smith, Ark., she had lived in Pineview for the past seven years. She was a retired machine operator for an automobile parts manufacturer. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Thompson of Pineview and Darrel Shelton of Boaz, Ky.; a sister, Gussie Hoyko of Detroit; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Frazier and Son Funeral Home, Rochelle, has charge of arrangements.

Sara King
BONAIRE - Services for Sara H. King will be at 1 p.m. today in the city cemetery. King, 80, died Saturday, Feb.. 26, 2000. Born in Peach County, she had lived in Bonaire for many years. The widow of Renfroe King, she was retired as the lunchroom manager at Bonaire Elementary School. She was a member of Bonaire United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Grace K. Childs of Eatonton and Ellen K. Smith of Bonaire; a sister, Doris H. Stokes of Gray; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins, has charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins 31093.

Mardelle McWhorter
ROCHELLE - Services for Mardelle Stonecypher McWhorter will be at 3 p.m. today in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. McWhorter, 79, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000. Born in Gwinnett County, she had lived most of her life in Wilcox County and was a 1938 graduate of Rochelle High School. The widow of J.R. McWhorter Sr. she was a homemaker and was formerly a federal inspector. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Senior Citizen's Sunday School Class and the WMU.

Survivors include her children, Paul Nelson McWhorter, John B. McWhorter Jr., Lillie Gibbs and Sydney Morris McWhorter, all of Rochelle, Elvira Biggers of Rebecca and Dr. Charles Lee McWhorter of Fitzgerald; brother and sisters, Raleigh C Stonecypher of Eastman, Karelle S. Walker of Macclenny, Fla., and Mozelle S. Blankenship of Statesboro.
