Mary Hanson

NEWNAN - Services for Mary Dorene Hanson will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in McKoon Funeral Home. Hanson died Sunday, June 5, 2000. Born in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Patterson Morrow. She was the widow of the late Roy Delma Hanson. She resided in Newnan for the past 57 years. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter Frances Hanson Davis of Macon; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Willie Hart

MIAMI, Fla. - Services for Willie Hart will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Barnum Funeral Home with burial in Eastview Cemetery, Sumter County. Hart, 73, died Saturday, May 27, 2000.

Survivors include his children Odell Hart and DaVella Alexander, both of Miami, Fla.; brother Dock "Earnest" Smith of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister Mary Williams of Americus; and seven grandchildren.

Frances Hill

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - Services for Frances Mullis Hill will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Vista Memorial Gardens. Hill, 72, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. Born in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alma Slaton Mullis. She was retired from Eastern Airlines and was a member of First Baptist Church of Davie-Cooper City.

Survivors include her son John Hill of Pembroke Pines; brother and sister Raymond Mullis Jr. of Inverness, Fla. and Martha Everett of Abbeville; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight in Joseph A. Scarano Funeral Home in Pembroke Pines.

Louise Holt

Services for Louise Moore Holt will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Greater Antioch Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Holt died Friday, June 2, 2000. The daughter of the late Frank and Estella Stephens Holt, she attended Bibb County schools and worked for many years as a school custodian. She was a member of Greater Antioch Baptist Church and served on the usher board. She was retired from Masonic Homes.

Survivors include her children Brenda Watson of Gray and Debra Carter of Macon; stepchild Thelma Bell of Macon; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends form 7 to 8 p.m. today in Bentley Funeral Home. A processional will leave from 3032 Graham Road, Gray.

Viola Lee

Services for Viola Fish Lee will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Faith Baptist Church, Jeffersonville Road, with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Lee, 82, died Monday, June 5, 2000. The widow of Robert Lee, she was born in Harriet County, N.C. The daughter of the late Mark Moore and Julie Love Fish, she was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Oneita Robinson of Hope Sound, Fla., James E. Evans, Hilda L. Riggs and Luther R. Evans, all of Macon; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, and may be contacted at 1509 Bowder Drive, Macon, 31217.

Ruth Lewis

MONTICELLO - Services for Ruth Cargile Lewis will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Jordan Funeral Home with burial in West View Cemetery. Lewis, 80, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. A lifelong resident of Jasper County, she was the daughter of the late David Woodfin and India Kate Cargile. A member of the Monticello First United Methodist Church, she also attended New Hope Methodist Church. She was a retired sewing machine operator for American Mills and was the widow of Murray Lewis.

Survivors include her son David M. Lewis of Lawrenceville; brother and sisters David Cargile of Valparaiso, Ind., Becky Banks of Covington and Maggie Polivic of Macon; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Alton Marsh

KITE - Graveside services for Alton H. Marsh will be at 11 a.m. today in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. Marsh, 89, died Sunday June 4, 2000. Born in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Jon and Delcice Grizzard Marsh. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his sons Larry Marsh of Sandersville and Wayne Marsh of Swainsboro; brothers Ernest Marsh of Dublin and Bernice Marsh of Macon; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

May and Smith Funeral Directors of Tennille has charge of the arrangements.

Little Ran Miller

PERRY - Services for Little Ran Miller will be at 4 p.m. today in Goodwill Cemetery. Miller died Monday, May 29, 2000. He was retired from the sanitation department in Fort Valley.

C.J. Edwards Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

James Pollard

Services for James Pollard Sr. will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in Greater Bellevue Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pollard, 91, died Friday, June 2, 2000. The son of the late Lucius and Minnie Lee Pollard, he was a retired self-employed auto mechanic and businessman at Sun Set Garage. He was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Orstean Pollard; his children Gloria Nixon, Betty Swift, Fred Pollard, Brenda Mays, Linda Pollard, Darryl Sandifer, Antonio Sandifer, Janet Williams, Raymond Sandifer, Karl Sandifer and Theresa Brown, all of Macon, Orstean Crosby of DeRidder, La., Ethel Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla., Leonard Pollard of Sanford, Fla. Michael Pollard of Cirtric Heights, Calif., and Wayne Sanford of New Orleans; 32 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Ruby Pullen

SWAINSBORO - Services for Ruby D. Pullen will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Tomlinson Funeral Home with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pullen, 81, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Appling County, she had lived in Emanuel County most of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sears. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Melbourne, Fla.

Survivors include her sisters and brothers Mary P. Snyder, Lelia P. Santarcangelo, both of Palm Bay, Fla., Josephine P. Reynolds of Columbus, Blake Pullen of Adrian and Robbie Lee Pullen of Pooler.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Opal Ray

DENTON - Services for Opal Griffin Ray will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Union Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Ray, 76, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. A lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County, she was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Ellis V. Griffin and Allie Crosby Griffin. She was the widow of Oliver Ray.

Survivors include her children Larry Ray, Danny Ray, Christine Stanley and Penny Selph, all of Denton, and Deborah Norman of Hazlehurst; brothers Dewitt Griffin, Eulan Griffin, Barney Griffin and D.L. Griffin, all of Hazlehurst; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. today in Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, Hazlehurst, and may be contacted at 241 Ed Ray Road, Denton.

Timothy Ryals

MARIETTA - Services for Timothy Ryals will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home with burial in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Ryals, 24, died Sunday June 4, 2000.

Born in Columbus, he moved to Cobb County in 1984. He attended Rose Garden School, South Cobb High School and was a graduate Marietta High School, class of 1998. He was attending Central Cobb Service Center. He was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God.

Survivors include his parents, Joe and Angela Ryals of Marietta; and grandmother Ann H. Ryals of Marietta.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Dollie Sanford

Services for Dollie M. Sanford will be at noon on Wednesday in Saint Luke Baptist Church with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Sanford, 93, died Saturday, June 3, 2000. A retired homemaker, she was a member of St. Luke Baptist church and served on the deaconess board.

Survivors include her sisters, Minnie Middlebrooks of Macon and Annie Gibbons of Atlanta; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Patients Fund at Beverly Health Care, 505 Coliseum Drive, Macon. The family will receive friends at 1430 Second Ave. Hutchings Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Julia Seymour

EATONTON - Services for Julia Carter Seymour will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with Interment in Eatonton Memorial Park. Seymour, 81, died Sunday June 4, 2000. Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late Hester and Martha Brandan Carter and the widow of Clyde (Turk) Seymour. She was a member of the Eatonton Pilot Club, the Putnam General Hospital Auxiliary, the Eatonton Garden Club, the Phoenix Homemakers Club, the First Baptist Church and the Alethian Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughter Rebecca Adams of Eatonton; sister Aileen Griffin of Eatonton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel.

Laura Ussery

Services for Laura Christine Booth Ussery will be at 2 p.m. today in Oak Grove Methodist Church with Interment in the church cemetery. Ussery, 71, died Sunday June 4, 2000. Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Laura Brown Booth. She was retired from the Western Sizzlin' Steak House.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Ussery; children Joel Wood and Andy Wood, both of Abbeville, and Donnie Wood of Jones County; brothers and sisters Mary Baston and Kathryn Kinny, both of Jones County, A.L. Booth of Milledgeville and Cecil Booth of Gordon; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. White Columns Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
