Annie Brown
GRAY - Services for Annie Hudson Brown will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bridges Funeral Home with burial in Highview Cemetery. Brown, 94, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. A lifelong resident of Jones County, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Susie Lipsey Brown. The widow of William Floyd Brown, she was a graduate of Jones County schools. She was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Frances Hudson Lankenau and Doris Hudson Meeks, both of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and may be contacted at 1046 Radio Drive.

Annie Bryan
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Annie Othell Daniel Bryan will be at 11 a.m. in Christopher-Smith Funeral Home with burial at 3 p.m. in Annie S. Page Memorial Cemetery in Riddleville. Bryan, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000. She was born in Laurens County, the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Eleanor Daniel. The widow of James Jacob Bryan, she lived most of her life in Houston County and was retired from employment with the Houston County Board of Education, teaching at C.B. Watson and Westside Elementary Schools and as the librarian at Parkwood Elementary. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Pilot Club of Warner Robins and the Houston County Hospital Pink Ladies.

Survivors include her sons, James Jacob Bryan Jr. of Conyers and Henry Lee Bryan of Athens; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home an hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Baptist Inn, 1424 Hudson Bridge Road, Stockbridge 30281, or to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, P.O. Box 49416, Atlanta 30359.

Jimmy Clayton
ATLANTA - Services for Jimmy Clayton will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery. Clayton, 53, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000. He was born in Columbus, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clayton Sr. He was a painter.

Survivors include his children, Derrick Clayton, Patrick Clayton, Nikki Clayton, Shanta Clayton and Joi Clayton, all of Atlanta; and sister and brother, Mamie Williams and Fred Clayton Jr., both of Patterson, N.J.

Hutchings Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Eddie Cravey
McRAE - Services for Eddie Lamar Cravey were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Red Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Cravey, 50, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. The son of the late Ed T. Cravey, he was born in and a lifelong resident of Telfair County. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Cravey; children, Katie Cravey of Valdosta, Lisa Hagler of Georgetown, and Chris Steverson of Douglas; mother, Clydie Cravey of McRae; brother, Thomas Cravey; and three grandchildren.

Vaughn Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Bill Dingus
LYONS - Services for Bill W. Dingus will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in East Lawn Cemetery in Kingsport, Tenn. Dingus, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., he had lived in the Lyons area for the past 34 years. An Army veteran of the Korean conflict, he was an educator, administrator and professor in Toombs County schools and was a member of various education associations. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn R. Dingus; children, Andy W. Dingus of Watkinsville, Alan R. Dingus of Atlanta and Susan Cerese Jacobs of Redwood City, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Lyons. Jones-Stewart Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Lewis Fields
Services for Lewis William Fields will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hicks and Sons Mortuary with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Fields, 54, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. He was born in Macon County and was formerly employed by True Timber Corp. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Darrell Fields of Macon; parents, Elijah Fields of Macon and Jessie L. Grant Jordan of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters and brother, Mattie M. Hart, Estella Fields, Verlene F. Smith and Brady Fields, all of Macon.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Carlos Flowers
SURRENCY - Services for Carlos Lindsay Flowers will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Surrency Community Bible Church with burial in the City Cemetery. Flowers, 78, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. Born in Wayne County, he had lived in Appling County most of his life and was owner and operator of Flowers Service Station for 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of Surrency Community Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Flowers; children, Deborah Wofford of Jacksonville, Fla., Pam Mayers of Baxley and Carlos Lindsay Flowers Jr. of Hazlehurst; brothers, B.J. Flowers and Ben Flowers, both of Jesup; a stepsister, Melba Simmons of Jesup; and six grandchildren.

Strickland-Miles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Mattie Harris
Services For Mattie Allen Harris will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hutchings Funeral Home with burial in Fort Hill Cemetery. Harris, 75, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000. Born in Macon, she was the daughter of the late E.V. and Mary Allen. She was educated in Bibb County and was the widow of Willie Harris. She was a member of Greater Turner Tabernacle A.M.E. Church.

Survivors include her sister, Eva G. Bonner of Macon; and niece, Sandra G. Hicks of Dayton, Ohio.

Idell Hemphill
GRESSTON - Services for Idell M. Hemphill will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Horne Funeral Home, Eastman, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hemphill, 66, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. The daughter of the late George E. and Odell Darsey Martin, she spent most of her life in Dodge County. The widow of Gordon F. Hemphill, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Gresston Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Janice Luna, Merle McCranie and Fay Hemphill, all of Eastman; brother and sisters, George W. Martin of Warner Robins, Bertha Bass of Eastman and Betty Jean Miley of Macon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

M.D. Hodges
ATLANTA - Services for M.D. Hodges will be at 10 a.m. today in the Cathedral of St. Philip with burial at 4 p.m. in Memory Hill Cemetery, Milledgeville. Hodges, 85, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. He was born in Washington County. The widower of Erma Tippins Hodges, he founded Hodges Candy Co. and Hodges Knitting Mill and retired in 1998 from M.D. Hodges Enterprises Inc. In Milledgeville, he served as president of the Rotary Club and State Junior Chamber of Commerce and was chairman of the Exchange Bank board for 15 years and the Baldwin County Board of Education for nine years. In Atlanta, he was a member of the Commerce Club and the Capital City Club and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Philip.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hodges; daughters, Hilda Hodges of New York and Eileen Small of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Atlanta Chapter Alzheimer's Association, 1841 Clifton Road NE., Atlanta 30329-4049. H.M. Patterson and Sons Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Obie Holston
THOMASTON - Services for Obie Holston will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trice Funeral Home with burial in Kendall Cemetery.

Survivors include his children, Joanne Barron of Meriden, Conn., Betty Jordan of Yatesville and Pamela Mullins, Vincent Holston, Tangie Alsobrooks, Bobby Petty, Linda Wonnum and Natalie Barbara, all of Thomaston; sisters and brothers, Molly Mae Dillard of Opelika, Ala., Dorothy M. Rutherford of Culloden, Thomas Holston of Atlanta, and Charlie Worthy of Thomaston; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lenora Hooks
UVALDA - Services for Lenora Willis Hooks will be at 2 p.m. today in Jones-Stewart Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Crossing Cemetery. Hooks, 82, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. Born in Treutlen County, she lived most of her life in the Uvalda area and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cedar Crossing Church of God.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Sanders and Vincent Burgess, both of Uvalda; a sister, Neill Jenkins; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jace James Jr.
HADDOCK - Services for Jace James Jr. will be at 2 p.m. today in Adams Tabernacle Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy N. James; children, Ernest James, Milton James, Albert James, Priscilla Farley and Lavonia Abram, all of Macon, LeArthur James, Willie C. Norman, Willie M. Russell and Rosetta Harris, all of Gray, and Eugene James, Alford James, Alonzo James, Annie Duncan, Dorothy Spikes and Alice Lester, all of Haddock; sisters, Mandy Seabrooks of Gray and Luddie M. Humphries of Macon; and two grandchildren.

Alfred Kitchens
PINE LAKE - Memorial services for Alfred Montgomery Kitchens will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Annistown Road Baptist Church. Kitchens, 63, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000. He was a former Army paratrooper.

Survivors include his wife, Frances A. Kitchens; children, William A. Kitchens of Duluth, Robert M. Kitchens of Lawrenceville, Kevin L. Kitchens of Snellville and Jeffrey A. Kitchens of Winder; and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, Oak Lawn Chapel, has charge of arrangements.
