Pearl Vinson
WARNER ROBINS - Services for Pearl B. Vinson will be at 3 p.m. today in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Vinson, 79, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. Born in Wilkinson county, she was the widow of James Vinson. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her children Walter E. Dean of Macon, Larry M. Dean of Pensacola, Fla., Judy Howard of Bonaire and Rhonda Z. Walls of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.

Marc Welch
FRANKLINTON, N.C. - Services for Marc Anthony Welch will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, Perry, with burial in the church cemetery. Welch, 24, died Monday, June 5, 2000. He was born icon in Charleston, S.C., son of the late Hugh Oliver Welch. He began his career as a firefighter at the age of 13 in a school co-op program with the Apex Rescue Squad. An eight-year veteran of the Hanahan Fire Department, he was a firefighter, EMT and arson investigator. He also was a lieutenant with the Caromi Fire Department. He attended Christ's Sanctified Holy Church.

Survivors include his mother, LaWanna Kelly Welch of Perry; brother, Michael Lynwood Welch of Franklinton; and grandmother, Vonnie Welch of Perry.

The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. today in the church. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry has charge of arrangements.

Neslie Williams
HAWKINSVILLE - Services for Neslie Williams will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Springfield Baptist Church with burial in Pine Bloom Cemetery. Williams, 94, died Sunday, June 4, 2000. He was born icon in Pulaski County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses Williams. He was retired from Jessup Motor Co. and Planters Bank. He was a member, trustee and former treasurer of Springfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children Lavernia Thomas of Newark, N.J., Annette Smith of Hawkinsville, Neslie E. Williams of San Jose, Calif., Dorothy Williams of Irvington, N.J., and Mattie D. Williams of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The family may be contacted at 418 Hendley St. Tharpe Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Willie Williams
VIDALIA - Services for Willie Williams will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Murchison Funeral Home with burial in Waters Cemetery, Emanuel County. Williams, 52, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his residence. A Marine Corps and Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and President Unit Citation. He was owner and operator of Williams Lawn Care. He was a member of Pendleton Springs Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Williams; children Danny Williams of Lyons and Chris Williams of Vidalia; sisters and brothers Della Parr of Cadwell, Hattie James and Steve Williams, both of Lyons, Seaborn Williams of Gray, Lillian Thigpen of Dublin and Bobbie Robinson of Tifton.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

John Buckles
BYROMVILLE - Services for John Trout Buckles will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Buckles, 64, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999. Born in Houston County, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his adopted daughter, Mary Johnson of Warner Robins; sisters and brothers, Melvin Wallace of Cordele, Nell McGhee, Mary Watkins, Dorothy Lawrence, Willie Webb and Diane Johnson, all of Henderson, Lillian Black of Ellaville, Curtis Bryant of Rochester, N.Y., James Taylor of Elizabeth, N.J., and Claude Buckles; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Bentley Carson Memorial Funeral Home in Cordele has charge of arrangements.

Nellie Champion
FITZGERALD - Services for Nellie B. Champion will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Paulk Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Champion, 88, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in an Atlanta hospital. She was formerly employed by H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and Dixie Peanut Mill and was a machine operator, retired from Fitzgerald Mills. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her son, Emory Champion; brother and sister, William Barnes of Fitzgerald and Lee Walker of Milan; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

Addril Clark
GLENWOOD - Services for Addril T. Clark will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Ronnie L. Stewart & Son Funeral Service, Glenwood, with burial in Edge Memorial Cemetery. Clark, 91, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999. A retired farmer, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Clark; children, Lila Gibbs and Ernest Clark, both of Mount Vernon, J.P. Clark, Mary Cheek and Wilma Montford, all of Glenwood, Randall Clark of Uvalda, Reba Gibbs of Dublin and Bobbie Brooks of Vidalia; brothers, Grady Clark and Robert Clark; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

Jessie Dill
OCILLA - Services for Jessie Hunter Dill will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla, with burial in Ocilla Cemetery. Dill, 91, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999. She was the daughter of the late H.M. and Susie Luke Hunter. The widow of John Hoyt Dill, she was a nurse, retired from Irwin County Hospital and Osceola Nursing Home.

Survivors include her son, Jack Carlton of Bowling Green, Fla.; sister, Betty Bracket of Paradise, Calif.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

WOODBURY - Services for Levi Favors will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Red Oak Baptist Church, Gay, with burial in the church cemetery. Favors, 66, died Saturday, April 24, 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Crowder Favors; children, Elvie Favors of LaGrange, Fleicia Cox of Gay, Crosby Favors and Ray Favors, both of Greenville, Melinda Favors, Vanesa Favors, Cynthia Favors, Donald Favors, Victoria Favors and Vicky Bell, all of Woodbury; sisters and brothers, Ethol Bateman of Atlanta, Maggie Favors, Gertrude Favors, Sarah Reeves, Joseph Favors, Christine Reeves and Eulise Morman, all of Greenville.

J.C. Fitzpatrick
Services for J.C. Fitzpatrick will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Antioch Baptist Church, Dry Branch, with burial in the church cemetery. Fitzpatrick, 89, died Thursday, April 22, 1999, in a local nursing home. Born in Twiggs County, he was the son of the late Bennie Lee and Susie M. Fitzpatrick. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, was Sunday School superintendent for 56 years, assistant chairman of the deacon board for 38 years and chairman of the building union for 40 years.

Survivors include his aunt, Bessie Parker of Dry Branch; and cousin, Bennie Lee Calhoun of Macon.

William Greene
COCHRAN - Services for William Greene will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Lizzie Bloomer Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Greene, 83, died Friday, April 23, 1999. Born in Sumter County, S.C., he was the son of the late Hobert and Nethia Greene. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from Ford Motor Co. The widower of Viola Greene, he was a member of Lizzie Bloomer Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sisters, Louvenia Toles of Cleveland, Ohio, Thelma Pearman of Lithonia and Mary Anne Greene of Unionville, Pa.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Jerry Howard Funeral Home and may be contacted at the Greene residence, Porter Road.

James Harper Sr.
SPARTA - Services for James Harper Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt's Chapel AME Church with burial in the church cemetery. Harper, 34, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Hunt's Chapel AME Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Harper; children, James Harper Jr. and Jameicia Harper, both of Sparta; parents, Roosevelt and Susie Harper; and brother and sisters, Edward Harper, Rosa Dennis and Lorretta Robbins, all of Sparta.

Ingram Brothers Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Helen Herndon
VIENNA - Services for Helen P. Herndon will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele. Herndon, 79, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999. Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Alexander and Felton Margaret Powers. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, E.B. Herndon; children, Wendell Herndon, Wayne Herndon and Kay Cason, all of Vienna; brothers, Edward Powers and Doyle Powers, both of Macon, Marvin Powers of Cordele, Jack Powers and Sam Powers, both of Vienna, and Harold Powers of Athens; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Dekle Funeral Home.

Joel Howard Sr.
Services for Joel Webster Howard Sr. will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Union Bibb Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Howard died Monday, April 26, 1999. Born in Bibb County, he was the son of the late Moses and Estella Howard. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his children, Joel Howard Jr. and Danny Howard, both of Macon; sisters, Slyvonia Thurman, Blondena Dumas, Elmira Eppinger and Florese Fambro, all of Macon, and Edna Hampton; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
