Mr. E. Hale Judkins

COLUMBIA -- Mr. E. Hale Judkins, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Presbyterian Church, North Augusta, with the Revs. Michael L. Andrews and Eric Skidmore officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta.

Mr. Judkins, a native of Eugene, Ore., had retired from E.I. DuPont Co. after 32 years of service and was a member of the American Nuclear Society. He was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marianna Wise Youngblood Judkins; one son, Malcom Judkins, Delaware; one daughter, Martha K. Judkins, Columbia; and one sister, Marsha Stevens, Portland, Ore.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Posey, Tom Cupstid, Charles Goodwin, Don Geckler, Eric Skidmore and Bill Herndon.

Memorials may be made to Habitat For Humanity, 209 S. Sumter St., Columbia, SC 29201.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Harry Milner

Navy retiree

Mr. Harry Edwin Milner, 69, of 1725 Oak Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Augusta Old Line Primitive Church with Dewayne Hooven officiating.

Mr. Milner, a native of Opelika, Ala., had retired from the Navy and was a veteran of World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He attended Augusta Old Line Primitive Church and was a volunteer at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Fort Gordon's recreation area.

The family said he was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was admired by all who knew him as he devoted his time to others.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Milner; four sons, Harry Milner Jr., Virginia, Robert J. Milner, California, David Owen, Florida, and Broward Owen, Oklahoma; four daughters, Beth Hall, Augusta, Shirley Chase, Virginia, Rose Olsen, New Jersey, and Geni Brasher, Alabama; one brother, Wade Milner, Alabama; and 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday at Augusta Old Line Primitive Church.

C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Eugene Morgan

Retired textile worker

Mr. Eugene ``Shine" Morgan, of 3235 Deans Bridge Road, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Allen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Morgan, a native of Columbia County, was retired from John P. King Mill as a textile worker and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, where he was deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Morgan; one son, Joseph Jackson, Augusta; four daughters, Eugenia Bell, Hephzibah, and Jessie M. Bowdre, Mittie Thomas and Louise Butler, all of Augusta; one stepdaughter, Deborah Hughes, Augusta; and 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael E. Bowdre Sr., Johnnie T. Butler Jr., Joseph Jackson Jr., Gilbert Morgan Jr., Jesse Thomas, Marion Glenn Butler, Ronald Morgan and Calvin Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Sharon Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the residence of Louise Butler, 3483 Sharon Road, or at Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willie Murray

Homemaker

Mrs. Willie Mae Murray, 96, of 1731 Meadow St., died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at Magnolia Hills Nursing Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Alex King officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Murray, a native of Saluda County, S.C., was a homemaker and a member of Williams Christian Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a member of Stewardess Board No. 1 and had been president of the missionary society.

Survivors include two sisters, Rosa Jay, Long Island, N.Y., and Viola Tilley, Woodside, N.Y.; and several grandchildren, great-children and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be stewards and trustees of Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of stewardess boards No. 1 and No. 2 of Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Friends may call at the residence or Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert Perdue

King Mill loom fixer

Mr. Robert ``Dan" Perdue, 57, of 1631 Curran St., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in West View cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery with the Rev. H.K. McKnight officiating.

Mr. Perdue, a naive of August, was a loom fixer with King Mill and had served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Sara Perdue, Augusta; and one brother, Carl Ball, Augusta.

Pallbearers will be members of his family.

Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bill Reynolds Sr.

Retired auto mechanic

Mr. Bill P. Reynolds Sr., 83, of 3497 Old Petersburg Road, Martinez, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at University Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in West View cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating.

Mr. Reynolds, a native of Greenville, S.C., was a retired auto mechanic and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Pete Reynolds, Martinez, and Jerry Reynolds, Evans; four daughters, Penny Reynolds, Martinez, Patti Laster, Thomson, Carolyn Harper, St. Louis, and Frances Snyder, Evans; two brothers, Bobby Reynolds, Leesburg, Fla., and Clinton Reynolds, Italy; three sisters, Frances Fowler, Greenville, Kathryn Mimitros, Union, S.C., and Helen Fowler, Jonesville, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.

Mr. Rupert Schaff

Retired insurance agent

AIKEN -- Mr. Rupert J. Schaff, 62, of 149 Boxwood Road, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

The funeral will be private.

Mr. Schaff, a native of Lancaster, N.Y., had retired as a self-employed insurance agent.

Survivors include his wife, M. Helen Schaff; two daughters, Gaye Schaff-Glover, Warrenville, and Wendy Kennedy, Columbus, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Association.

The family will receive friends from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 2470 Pine Log Road and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the residence.

George Funeral Home, Park Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Andrew Sims

Retired construction worker

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Andrew Theodore Sims, 77, of 1108 Liberty St., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at DeLoach Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Fort Creek Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Dearing.

Mr. Sims, a native of Lincoln County, N.C., was a retired construction worker with Walsh Construction Co. and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie M. Sims; one son, Derrell Sims, Blairsville; three daughters, Betty Daniels and Diedra Sims, both of Waynesboro, and Linda Millians, Augusta; four sisters, Mildred Collins, Ollie Sharpe and Inez Rollins, all of Waynesboro, and Pauline Martin, Dublin; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sims, Jeff Allen, Chuck Daniels, Gene Sims, Matthew Sims, Irvin Collins, George Odom, Daniel Pye, R.E. Rollins III, Wayne Sims and David Martin.

Memorials may be made to Botsford Baptist Church Building Fund, 825 Botsford Church Road, Waynesboro, GA 30830.

Friends may call at the funeral home.

Mr. Curtis Shaw

SHARON, Ga. -- Mr. Curtis Shaw, 39, of 229 Crawfordville Road, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, in Augusta.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Shaw, a native of Taliaferro County, was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and had served in the Army.

Survivors include his father, Henry Shaw Sr., Sharon; two brothers, Henry Shaw Jr., Athens, and Willie B. Shaw, Washington; and two sisters, Precious Shaw Wheeler, Sharon, and Sandra Shaw, Washington.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Seals Jr., William Seals, Macolm Harris, J.B. Wynn, Ralf Riley and Nicholas Wynn.

Friends may call at the residence.
