MCCORMICK, S.C. -- Mr. Clement E. ``Pete" Heath, 53, of 1282 N. Martintown Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, Augusta, with the Rev. Guy L. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta.

Mr. Heath, a native of Augusta, was a field foreman with Tate Metal Works and a member of the National Transit Union of Boilermakers.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Marie Welch Heath; four sons, Chris L. Heath, McCormick, Joe Heath and Wade Heath, both of Savannah, and Kenny Churton, Augusta; one daughter, Desiree Sullivan, Savannah; one brother, Raymond Heath, Waynesboro, Ga.; and eight grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Bengi Black, Dennis Thompson, John Lawter, Rodney Hampton, Rick Lawter and Lamar Wells.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. James Hinton Jr.

Mr. James Miles Hinton Jr. of 1318 Wallace St. died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gilbert-Lambeth Chapel, Paine College, with the Rev. Cannon Lewis P. Bohler Jr. officiating.

Mr. Hinton, a native of Birmingham, Ala., was a Title III coordinator with Paine College and an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. He earned a bachelor's degree from Howard University and a degree in law from American University. He was employed as legal counsel for Pilgrim Health and Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Alpha Mu Boule, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, the Seniors Citizen Council, the CSRA Planning Commission, the Department of Family and Children's Services and the Democratic Committee.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Mae Hinton; one son, Eric Randall Hinton, Atlanta; two daughters, Sandra Marise Rogers, Cypress, Calif., and Michele Ann Utley, Augusta; one brother, Rodney Hinton, Silver Spring, Md.; one sister, Novella Turner, Portland, Maine; and eight grandchildren

Mr. John Holland

Business owner

Mr. John Henry Holland, 68, of 2100 Ashley Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. John Moore, Baxter Stanley and Ralph Summerlin officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Holland, a native of Hinesville, Ga., was the owner of Holland Sewing and Vacuum. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Assembly of God Church. He was a member of Sugamo Prison Association.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa R. Holland; three sons, Joseph R. Holland and Kenneth T. Holland, both of Augusta, and Derrell W. Holland, Appling; one daughter, Theresa Ellen Lothry, Augusta; one stepbrother, Alexander M. Holland Jr., Girard; one sister, Millie Lang, Hinesville; and nine grandchildren.< > Pallbearers will be George Espey, Rick Rios, George Bigger, Russell M. Reeves Jr., Carl Miller, Steve Reeves and David Buckner.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the adult Bible class of First Assembly of God Church.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church, 1613 Fenwick St., Augusta, Ga.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewis Johnson Sr.

STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Lewis Edgar Johnson Sr., 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Candler County Hospital, Metter.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. at Joiner-Shepard Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Jarriel officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Johnson, a native of Screven County, was retired from Continental Can and was a member of Aaron Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Claudine Johnson; two sons, Roy H. Johnson, Portal, Jessie Johnson, Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Mary Jane Slagel, Swainsboro; one stepdaughter, Ruby Lee Harris, Statesboro; one brother, Junior Johnson, Statesboro; one half-sister, Eloise Mikell Clifton, Savannah; one half-brother, T.W. Mikell, Glennville; and 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ivey, Bobby Stewart, Ervin Stewart, Frank Husley, Jackie Hendrix and J.L. Barnes.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. James McNeal

Concrete finisher

Mr. James McNeal, 49, of 137 McElmurray Drive, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Stokes officiating.

Mr. McNeal, a native of Burke County, Ga., was a concrete finisher and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene McNeal; one son, James H. McNeal Jr., Augusta; two daughters, Deonne D. McNeal and Tamika McNeal, both of Augusta; his mother, Daisy M. McNeal; five brothers, Lannis McNeal, Detroit, Fredrick McNeal, Lewis McNeal and Regenald McNeal, all of Augusta, and Kenneth McNeal, Haywood, Calif.; three sisters, Velvet Lind, Highland, Mich., Elaine Moore, Savannah, and Heneritta Curry, Augusta; his grandfather, Lewis Brigham, Savannah; his stepgrandmother, Earlene Brigham, Savannah; and one grandchild

Pallbearers will be Lannis McNeal, Lewis McNeal, Kenneth McNeal, Jon Q. Moore and James Lind.

Mr. Marshall Miller Jr.

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Marshall Ansel ``B" Miller Jr., 83, of 2518 River Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Piney Grove Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, McBean Community, with the Revs. John D. Meyer and Nevil Smith officiating.

Mr. Miller, a native and lifelong resident of Burke County, was president of Miller's Mill Inc. He served as director of First National Bank, McKinney Wholesale Co. of Waynesboro and American Millers Federation, Washington. He served as president of Georgia Corn Millers Association. He was an inventor and holder of several patents for milling machinery. He was a member of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills, the Georgia Forestry Association and the American Tree Farm System. He served as Burke County commissioner for 12 years and president of First District County Commissioners of Georgia. He was a member of the Burke County Forestry Board, Burke County Hospital Authority, Burke County Jury Commission and the Savannah River Basin Development Commission. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where he was a former trustee.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Walker Miller; two daughters, Marsha M. Eisenzimmer, Augusta, and Barbara Miller, Waynesboro; and two grandchildren.< > Honorary pallbearers will be officers and directors of the First National Bank of Waynesboro.

Mrs. Frances Minor

AIKEN -- Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Smith Minor, 75, of 166 Village Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Cole and Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley.

Mrs. Minor, a native of Donalds, was a retired seamstress with Aiken Industries. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church where she was a member of Young at Heart, Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Rainbow Club.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth R. Timms, High Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Gail Hair, Aiken; two sisters, Ida Williams, Aiken, and Kathleen Eakin, Greenwood; and four grandchildren.< > Pallbearers will be Jim Gibson, Dave Golding, Allison Robinson, Barron Koon, Harry Schultz, Steve Talbert and Kelly Woodward.

Honorary pallbearers will be will be members of Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Mr. Eli Noble

ALLENDALE, S.C. -- Mr. Eli Willie Noble, 61, of 911 S. Palmetto Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Fort Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church, Allendale County, with the Rev. Bennie L. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Noble, a native of Clinton, Miss., was retired from the Army and the Allendale County Correction Institution. He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. Noble; one son, Glenn Noble, Jackson, Miss.; two daughters, Dominique Noble, Williston, and Esporanza Noble, Nashville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Nathan Monroe, Fairfax, and Kelvin E. Ballard, Greenbelt, Md.; two stepdaughters, Catherine Bell, Hyattsville, Md., and Cynthia Badger, Fairfax; five brothers, Earl W. Noble, Willie A. Noble and Chester Noble, all of Chicago, George Noble, Laurel, Miss., and Ulysee Noble, Las Vegas; one sister, Irene Noble Griffin, Chicago; and six stepgrandchildren

NEW ELLENTON -- Ms. Janie M. Odom, 47, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Guinyard and Sons Funeral Home, Barnwell, with the Rev. Bennie Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Hope Memorial Park, Barnwell.

Ms. Odom, a native of Barnwell County, was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church of Aiken.

Survivors include her mother, Irrie Odom, Staten Island, N.Y.; one brother, Nelson Odom, Dover, Del.; and one sister, Mary Odom, Staten Island

Pallbearers will be members of her family.

Miss Eunice Mae Paige, 34, of 541 Fairhope St., died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at University Hospital.

Miss Paige, a native of Aiken, was a homemaker.

Paige, South Carolina; six brothers, Robert Paige, North Carolina, Thomas Paige, Fort Hood, Texas, Ray Paige and Benjamin Sprouce, both of Aiken, Willie Sprouce, Graniteville, and John Paige III, South Carolina; and six sisters, Juanita Hatcher, Florida, Lorene Jordan and Linda Williams, both of New York, and Janice Paige Barbara M.
