Mrs. Nannie Denard

WASHINGTON, Ga. -- Mrs. Nannie Bobo Denard, 84, of 974 Sandtown Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at Wills Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tignall Baptist Church, Tignall, with the Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Burial will be in Tignall Baptist cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Tignall.

Mrs. Denard, a native of Wilkes County, was a homemaker, a member of Tignall Homemakers Club and a member of Tignall Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph ``Coot" Denard and Everett Denard, both of Tignall, and Albert Denard Jr., Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Jo-Anne Danner, Tignall; one sister, Emmie Bobo, Washington; and 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brad Denard, Rocky Denard, Shane Denard, Ricky Danner, Ernie Denard and Randy Danner.

Memorials may be made to Tignall Baptist Church, Tignall, GA 30668.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hopkins Funeral Home.

Mr. Morris Durham

Postal service retiree

BELVEDERE -- Mr. Morris E. Durham, 65, of 514 Audubon Circle, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998 at his residence.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rowland Funeral Home, North Augusta, with the Revs. C.B. Love and Lloyd Prince officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta.

Mr. Durham, a native of Shelton, Texas, was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army as a master sergeant and attended First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Durham; one son, Michael E. Durham, Grovetown; two daughters, Theresa Taylor, Belleville, Ill., and Lindy Lucas, Hephzibah; four brothers, Billy W. Durham, St. Augustine, Texas, Cliff Durham, Gail, Texas, Noel Durham, Folsom, Calif., and Lash Clark, Texas; two sisters, Verna Dykes, Rockland, Texas, and Frances Clark, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kippy Riley, Bill Richey, Glenn Richey, Kenny Borsclair, Jim Strosser and Stephen Taylor.

Friends may call at the residence of M.W. Richey, 201 Belair Road.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. John Harden

Pantry Pride Grocery Store retiree

PHILADELPHIA -- Mr. John Harden, 55, of 6022 Wister St., died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Burke County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at William Grove Holiness Church, Millen, Ga., with Kenneth Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Baptist Church cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery, Millen.

Mr. Harden, a native of Jenkins County, Ga., was employed by Pantry Pride Grocery Store in the produce department. He was a member of Thankful Baptist Church and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include three sisters, Lucy Devine, Betty McLeroy and Mattie Royal, all of Waynesboro.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Friends may call at the residence of Lucy Devine, 512 Bryant St., Waynesboro, or Phinazee Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Freddie Hatcher

Georgia-Pacific Corp. retiree

DEARING -- Mr. Freddie Lee Hatcher, 81, of 1373 Fort Creek Road S.E., died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at McDuffie County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Poplar Head Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lowe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Hatcher, a native of McDuffie County, was retired from Georgia-Pacific Corp. and was a member of Poplar Head Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Dora Dean Shorty, Thomson, and Ludella Hobbs, Dearing.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Friends may call at noon today and until 12:30 p.m. Friday at Crawford Mortuary, Thomson.

The family will receive friends after the burial at 1315 Fort Creek Road.

Mr. Raydene Jordan

MIDVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Raydene Jordan, 51, of 27 Pine Grove Road, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Booker T. Floyd and David Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Green cemetery" target="_blank">Cemetery.

Mr. Jordan, a native of Jefferson County, was a driver and a member of Forts Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty C. Jordan; two sons, Dennis B. Jordan, Midville, and Cornelius L. Jordan, Greensboro, N.C.; one daughter, Alice L. Lewis, Wadley; his mother, Mrs. Robbie L. Jordan, Wadley; two brothers, Willie J. Jordan, Wadley, and Mateen M. Hakim, Appling; one sister, Barbara A. Jordan, Wadley; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Baker, Charles Cobbs, Samuel Cummings, Arthur Lee Daniels, Gonice Davis, Willie Poole, Albert Samples, George Summerville and James Wilcher.

Friends may call at the residence or at Jogresan Mortuary, Wadley.

Mr. Lonnie Mazes

Assembly helper

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. -- Mr. Lonnie Lee Mazes, 64, of 228 Maple St., died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Washington County Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Camp Spring Baptist Church, Riddleville, with the Rev. Victor Cuyler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Mazes, a native of Washington County, was an assembly helper.

Survivors include one son, Anthony R. Mazes, Savannah; one daughter, Stephanie R. Grant, Savannah; his mother, Adell Mazes, Sandersville; nine sisters, Lillie P. Walker, Annie Gaston, Johnny L. Hunter and Mattie L. Gonder, all of Sandersville, Eudean Sutton, Myrtle Lue Mazes and Geraldine Richardson, all of Trenton, N.J., Reba Mae Cannida, Philadelphia, and Pearlie Lee Bowler, Lauderdale Lake, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Washington Institute Building, Evans Street.

Mr. L.D. Redd

Retired security officer

AIKEN -- Mr. L.D. Redd, 70, of 1900 Alan Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, with the Revs. Bobby Broach and Danny Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley.

Mr. Redd, a native of Aiken County, was a retired security officer with Regent Security and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Bethel men's Sunday school class.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce G. Redd; two brothers, James Pete Redd, Burnettown, and Ray Redd, North Augusta; three sisters, Helen Key, Aiken, Lyvenda Smith, Montgomery, Ala., and Betsie Mitchell, Bath; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ray Redd Jr., Lonnie Taylor, Sammy Redd, Bubba Spivey, James Redd Jr., Michael Redd, Leon Heath and Darling Heath.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bethel men's Sunday school class.

Friends may call at the residence.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Walter Rickerson Sr.

GROVETOWN -- Mr. Walter Rickerson Sr., 69, of 671 Old Belair Road, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Appling, with the Rev. Willie J. Williams officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery" target="_blank">cemetery.

Mr. Rickerson, a native of Columbia, was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Rickerson, David Rickerson and Willie Rickerson; three sisters, Cora Rolland, Rosa Reed and Junette Lampkin; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence.

Peoples Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Keyln Sims

THOMSON -- Mrs. Keyln E. Sims, 79, of Mount Pleasant Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at McDuffie County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Curtis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Bennett officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta.

Mrs. Sims, a native of Woodbury, was a homemaker and a member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, Augusta.

Survivors include two daughters, Peg Sims Poss and Angele Sims Hurt, Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Pearl Johnson, Columbus; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
