WARRENVILLE -- Mr. Richard L. Moody, 65, of 128 Fannie Lane, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at University Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley, with Dr. Ken Klinger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville.

Mr. Moody, a native of Bath, had retired from Seminole Mill, a division of United Merchants and Manufacturing. He was a member of Howlandville Baptist Church, where he was a member of Lewis Wilson Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his mother, Estelle Jones Moody, Warrenville.

Pallbearers will be Bob Krepps, David Reames, Alfred ``Bubba" Jones Jr., Price Kneece, Keith Jones and Larry Reames.

Memorials may be made to Howlandville Baptist Church, 316 Howlandville Road, Warrenville, SC 29851.

Friends may call at the residence of Fannie Jones Reames, 134 Fannie Lane.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martha Morris

Mrs. Martha Delores ``Dee" Morris, 59, of Martinez, died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Poteet Funeral Home, Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Grover Lee officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.

Mrs. Morris, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker and a member of Martinez Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Richard ``Ricky" K. Morris and Sam Morris, both of Martinez, and Billy Ray Morris, Evans; three daughters, Sandra Landrum, Martinez, Tammy Blasko, Ten Mile, Tenn., and Joyce Johnson, Waynesboro, Ga.; two brothers, Larry Johnson, Grovetown, and Arthur B. Wallace, Augusta; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hickson, Derrick Flanigan, Gene Jones, Larry Johnson Jr., Tommy Sanders, Mike Annis, Steve Henderson and Charles Ennis.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1725, Augusta, GA 30903.

Friends may call at the residence.

Mrs. Daisy Murphey

Mrs. Daisy Bell Murphey, 82, of 1454 Forest St., died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Columbia Augusta Medical Center.

The funeral will be at noon at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Hill Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Murphey, a native of Valdosta, Ga., had retired as a registered nurse with the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was a graduate of University Hospital School of Nursing and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of Club No. 3, Senior Mission, Mount Calvarians Choir, the CPA Club and the March Birth Club.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Murphey; and one son, Richard Murphey, Waycross, Ga.

Pallbearers will be deacons of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nina Newton

SMYRNA, Ga. -- Mrs. Nina Mae Hemphill Newton, 89, died Sunday, May 3, 1998.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Gene Davis, White Columns Chapel, Mableton. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, with the Rev. Walter Caughman officiating.

Mrs. Newton was retired from Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, and was a member of Hill Baptist Church, Augusta, and Roswell Baptist Church, Roswell.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Newton, Roswell, and Steve Newton, Smyrna; one daughter, Anelle ``Nell" Heyne, Yreka, Calif.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Poteet Funeral Home, Greene Street, is in charge of local arrangements.
