Mrs. Josephine Little

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. -- Mrs. Josephine Watkins Little, 83, died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Southampton Hospital, Southampton.

The funeral will be at 12:15 p.m. Monday at Church of the Most Holy Trinity with the Rev. Allan J. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Little, a native of Augusta, was an artist and a member of Church of the Most Holy Trinity. She attended Maryland Institute of Art, Baltimore, and the American School of Design, New York. She also attended art classes at Columbia University and the Hans Hofmann School. She had worked as an engineer drafter and specialized in textile, wallpaper and book design. She was the illustrator for the book Customs and Holidays Around the World and was the artist responsible for Design Beachplums.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Little, East Hampton, and Abigail Tooker, Phillips, Maine; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ferris Dorr, Randolph E. Watkins Jr., Paul Dorr, Jospeh R. Brassell, Edward Dorr and Harry Dolyniuk.

Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Aileen Martin

ST. GEORGE, S.C. -- Mrs. Aileen Judy Martin, 85, of 151 Warren St., died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Revs. Earle Readett and John Hucks Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was a native of Dorchester County.

Survivors include six sons, Albert S. ``Joe" Martin, Santee, Hank Ernest Martin and Wayne Dean Martin, both of Branchville, Morgan Bowick and Raymond Bowick, both of Marietta, Ga., and McAuther Martin, Orangeburg; four daughters, Betty Marchant, St. George, Peggy Marchant, Orangeburg, Patsy Byrd, Round-O, and Robin Genaualdi, North Charleston; three sisters, Ida Lou Sharpe, Walterboro, Catherine Herdon, Hendersonville, and Dot Whiney, Texas; and 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Emma Miller

Homemaker

NORTH AUGUSTA -- Mrs. Emma Ruth Miller, 84, of 822 Georgia Ave., died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. James E. Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta.

Mrs. Miller, a native of Richmond County, was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school and had been a member of the choir.

Survivors include two sons, Carey Miller and Donald Miller, both of North Augusta; one daughter, Brooks M. Ford, Martinez; two sisters, Clarice Barrett, Augusta, and Lillian McWhirter, Asheville, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephew.

Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Ave., North Augusta, SC 29841.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Rowland Funeral Home.

Mr. Melvin Myers

City councilman

ALLENDALE, S.C. -- Mr. Melvin Sylvester Myers, 57, of 43 Bing St., died Monday, May 4, 1998, at University Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Union United Methodist Church, Kline, with the Revs. Eddie C. Williams and Virgin Johnson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Miller Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Myers, a native of Allendale, was an Allendale city councilman and an employee of the Allendale Sanitation Department. He was a member of the Roaring Twenties, where he had served as president. He was a former coach with Dixie Youth and the Allendale Braves. He was a co-owner of Evelyn's Snack Bar and was a member of the Allendale Community Choir.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Brown Myers; three sons, Kenneth Myers and Vincent Brown, both of Allendale, and Renardo Smoaks, Columbia; one brother, Thomas Myers, Allendale; and nine grandchildren.

Cave Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shawn Price

NEW YORK -- Mr. Shawn A. Price, 20, of New York, died Monday, April 27, 1998.

Private graveside services will be Monday at Hope Memorial Park, Barnwell, S.C.

Mr. Price was a native of New York.

Survivors include one daughter, Shaquasia Price Mayes, New York; his parents, Michael and Jackulyn Price Mayes; and two brothers, Michael and Travis Price, both of New York.

Mrs. Ruby Rhoden

Mrs. Ruby L. Rhoden, 95, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at Westwood Nursing Facility.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Rodger Murchison officiating.

Mrs. Rhoden, a native of Aiken County, was retired from Macy's Department Store as a sales clerk. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Rita Monroe, Evans; one sister, Christelle Inman, Augusta; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence of Rita Monroe.

Mrs. Nellie Richardson

WAYNESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Nellie Beatrice Richardson, of 115 Brentwood Drive, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at Burke County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Springfield Baptist Church with the Revs. W.B. Tomlin and Rex Wright officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson, a native of Burke County, was a retired dietitian with the Burke County Board of Education and a member of New Springfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, George E. Richardson, Camp Lejeune, N.C., Rufus Richardson, Atlanta, and Johnny Richardson, Waynesboro; four daughters, Parnell Pat Roberson, Farmingdale, N.Y., Ella Mae Cooper and Aleatha R. Jackson, both of Waynesboro, and Marva Jones, Augusta; one brother, Emaunal W. Roberson, Nashville; one sister, Corine Grandy, Orlando, Fla.; and 25 grandchildren and 26 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Micquell J. Cooper, Terry Holmes, Deondray Richardson, Tracey Jones, Nigel Elderidge and Samuel V. Burns.

Mr. Hyman Sego

TWIN CITY, Ga. -- Mr. Hyman Douglas Sego, 74, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dublin.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Twin City Church of God with Rev. Gene Sego officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Garfield.

Mr. Sego, a native of Emanuel County, was a retired carpenter and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Bryant Sego; one stepson, James Davis, Portal; one stepdaughter, Linda Autry, Dellwood; two brothers, C.E. Sego, Twin City, and Carl L. Sego, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five stepgrandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Davis, DeRon Autry, Samuel Sego, Ted Sego, James Bouttier and George Archer Jr.

Mr. Billy Shivers

Mr. Shivers, a native of Colquitt, was a retired salesman and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn H. Shivers; one son, Robert Scott Shivers, Thomson; five brothers, George Shivers, Pittsboro, N.C., James Shivers, Nashville, Joseph Shivers, West Palm Beach, Fla., Carol Shivers, West Columbia, S.C., and Ronnie Shivers, Perry; two sisters, Margaret Wood, Tifton, and Jean Golden, Elgin, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Dorothy Todd

Retired restaurant manager

Mrs. Dorothy Baxley Todd, 83, of 290 Fiske Loop, Evans, died Thursday, May 7, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Thomas L. King Funeral Home with the Revs. Barry Clanton and Mike Hilley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, North Augusta.

Mrs. Todd, a native of Edgefield County, was retired from Woolworth's as a restaurant manager. She was a member of Westside Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Franklin Todd; two sons, John Marion Todd, Martinez, and William Franklin Todd, Augusta; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Don Fuller, Mike Klaus, Bob Clem, Troy Baker, Tom Cool, Roy Snow and Les Kitchings.

Friends may call at the residence of Marion and Brenda Todd, 4019 Tallman Drive, Martinez.
